Orionis Rigel

He did not really know what to do. The ebony boy felt a little uncomfortable against the scrutinizing gaze of his older sister and unofficial uncle. He could tell that they were a little surprised to meet him, which made him even more nervous despite his somewhat calm exterior. His ears were folded neatly across the back of his crown as he observed the pair and committed their perplexing scents to memory. They smelt similar to the mountains but different … almost wilder despite hailing from a pack. It was woodsy and smelt like home, even though Orionis wasn’t really sure what home was. He and his mother seldom stayed in once place for longer than a few days now that he was old enough to travel. They had no home—which made him both sad and happy. They were free like the birds flying overhead but it was still lonely to know that they were all on their own. But it made their bond even stronger.

He shrugged at his older sister’s question, his head tipping softly to the side as she explained that they shared a mom (Inna) and that she would look after him. Huh. Did that mean she was coming with them? Or that they were staying? Orionis was confused. His jaws remained clamped together as he turned to the pale male as he spoke. Orionis dipped his head out of respect, his cheeks flushing crimson beneath the regal wolf’s chartreuse gaze. His mother had explained the importance of both Lachesis and Oksana to him, to which he nodded to show that he understood. But he did not speak. He was far too engrossed in the conversation between his mother and the green-eyed cloud.

Oksana Baranski

It was a very different and new feeling for the crow, having a little brother. She'd never had a sibling before and most certainly not one that looked just like her. Maybe she should have been angry with her mum for going out and doing what she did but Oksana couldn't find it in her. For so long Inna had been her only parent. She understood why her mother couldn't be with her and didn't hold it against her. Now she had little Orionis and knew that Inna would bring him to visit as much as she could.

As it always seemed her mother and Lachesis were catching up, the pale leader wanting to know what Inna had been up to. Oksana let them talk she looked to her little brother and watched him for a few moments, she felt that they were much different. Which she found interesting since Inna was both their mum. She eyes shot to her mother when she spoke of staying close to the surge. This was good news but she also knew that Lachesis would have the final say in the matter. She looked up at him hopeful that he would say yes. If he did that would mean she could spend some time with her mum and most importantly time getting to know her brother.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
wrap up with @Innas post?

Oddly enough it appeared that the life of a loner was working in Inna’s favour. Occasionally guilt would fill the pit of his stomach, as he had always wondered if leaving her in Hearthwood had been the right choice, but seeing her now proved that it had benefited her. The guilt had been more present after the exile of Aytigin, as the loud-mouthed idiot had been the one to tell Inna that the river wolves would be leaving her behind. But it did not appear that the raven harboured any resentment to the ghost, otherwise she wouldn’t have brought her son to the borders of Driftwood.

He nodded gently in response to her question. Of course, he responded, a small smile tugging at his dark lips as he regarded the raven and her son, you are welcome to stay close for as long as you need. The wolves of Driftwood are just a howl away if you come across trouble. Although their relationship had changed over the year Lachesis was glad they were on neutral, or good, terms now. She had always been like a daughter to him—even during their arguments and disagreements.

Come, he said suddenly, motioning for the dark duo to follow him, let’s get you two something to eat first. You can tell us where you’ve been since we last saw each other. More so for Oksana’s sake but Lachesis was curious too…

you fill my head with pieces

of a song i can't get out

The Raven was proud of how her son was behaving in front of Lachesis. She hadn't had any doubts though, she'd tried to instill manners into him from a young age. She was also pleased that both the pale alpha and her daughter had accepted him so easily. Most of all Inna was happy that even after everything that had happened she had the chance to start rebuilding what she felt she'd lost now that she felt she was in a better place.

Her concerns with having a pup with the enlarged coyote problem were never far from her mind. It was what had led her to ask what she did of Lachesis then. She by no means had any intention of trying to destroy what she was slowly rebuilding but staying close to Driftwood would provide some measure of safety for her son. “Thank you so much Lachesis for allowing us to he close and while I hope things will go well it means a lot to know the pack is there if we need them.” She was very appreciative but she didn't want to have to call them if she didn't have to, that wasn't how she wanted to rebuild the relationship she once had with Lachesis and the Driftwood wolves.

Then Lachesis surprised her by inviting her and Ori to join him and Oksana for something to eat and a chance to really catch up. “Thank you Ori and I would like that very much. There's quite a bit to tell.” She said before nudging Ori forward and following her daughter and Lachesis.
