Here she was finally. At the doorsteps of a land where Adelayde believed she could truly feel like she belonged. Ade never felt she belonged anywhere. No matter how far and wide she searched. Nobody made her feel like this. Drestig and his small family were welcoming and friendly, unlike White Stone Plains where she was snuffed out. She couldn't imagine ever going back to her birthplace, not now and not ever. They didn't treat her like she deserved to be or wanted. She was only a playing piece to them. Here she would be a piece of their family where she could continue to grow and be only herself.

Drestig responded with a warm smile and her golden heart leap silently. Was this it? Did she finally do it? As thoughts rummaged through her brain, the dark King lowered his crown respectfully and announced she had found the right place. A large grin appeared upon her ebony lips. This was it. "Thank you very much, sir." With her warm smile still upon her lips, she met his ember eyes for the first time. She was determined to not let them down and to truly cherish this place that she could now call home.
