Askan Selwyn

Heeding to Remington's direction, Askan followed as she suddenly diverted her course, leading him in another direction. Sure, he'd been the one to organise this little hunt but he wasn't so stubborn that he would demand that Remington follow him, that she had to trail behind him like a good little subordinate. Any wolf who'd demand such a thing would be a right ass in Askan's eyes. Higher rank or no, they were all part of the same team. And so if that meant Askan had to do as they said for the benefit of their 'mission' then so be it, Askan was willing to bite the proverbial bullet.

He'd had a nice little plan, not particularly well thought out but it was simple, easy. And yet there it was, crashing down around them just as the roof of the foxes' den did the very same. What had simply been a white mess was quickly turning into an orange one. Through the white of the snow he both saw and heard rapid commotion, the snapping of teeth and an alarmed voice calling out from where Askan couldn't see. It was all a little confusing and so Askan skidded to a stop to get his baring when he felt a smaller form collide with his shoulder.

At first he thought it was Percy, that she'd ran into him whilst chasing after one of the foxes. But no, as the Selwyn's gaze focused he noticed that nope, this wasn't Percy. Nor was it Remmington. It was small and red and it looked as though it was about to shit a brick in fear.

Good.

Grinning maliciously, Askan's jaws clamped down onto the meat of its throat and he thrashed his neck back and forth, snarling all the while, letting any and all foxes nearby know that he meant business. That this wasn't a game to him. The foxes were either going to leave of their own accord, or they wouldn't be leaving at all, alive that is.

Dropping the fox-he could see it was an adult now that he looked, a male by the smell of it- to the floor, Askan squinted through the white, trying to spot either of his companions. He wasn't worried for their welfare, the foxes posed next to no threat towards wolves such as themselves, but this was supposed to be a group activity. They were supposed to be working together.

"Percy? Remington?" He called, then licked the fresh blood from his lips.

Remington

Before she knew it more orange streamed across her sight. Then there was yelling she could hardly understand, nor pinpoint. She flattened her ears to her skull, closing her eyes as the wind thrust another furry of snow. A harsh shake, her coat rid itself of the white fluff, temporarily. It would take more than that to slow her. She had only moments ago seen the girl. She couldn't have vanished into thin air.

The silver wolf tried again to see, all she noticed was another fox trying to escape. This one she pursued, running a good distance, until she dived after it, not letting it get away. Teeth snapped, and crunched. Then she forcefully jerked, twisting its small frame. No others came her way, and she scrunched her face to rid her eyelashes of snowflakes. She didn't drop her kill, instead, she narrowed her gaze, eyes sweeping through the ever rowing white. Eyes fell on each dark spot, but nothing was big enough.

Back tracking, she spied a tall figure, and she galloped toward it. This wasn't Percy, it was Askan who had finished off his own fox. She smirked with the bushy thing in her teeth, and then dropped hers beside his. She leaned closer to the second. "I think she's over there, near their den," she hollered, indicating preciously where with the point of her snout. She was ready to follow and see if the girl had gotten her own. She bet there was a few more foxes to be found.
