The pale alpha was having fun with the little dark girl but in the midst of their play he was overtaken by a moment of grief. As he thought of his son and daughter and the times he would have with them like the one he was having with Hawthorne he thought of his lost son. How he would never have the chance to have a play session with him or teach him all the things a young wolf should know. As he watched the dark coated pup as she moved in play he noted the similar coat colors. Almost as soon as the moment came it was gone, little Hawthorne wanted to play and that was what they would do for as long as she wanted.
She was cute with that grin of her as he chuckled and spoke to her, always in a calm voice to not scare her. That was the last thing he wanted to do, he always wanted to see her and his own children happy. To him it didn't matter whose child she was, she hadn't asked for what Sylva had done to her and he would not let her feel the punishment that her mother was under if he could help it especially while she was so young. As he'd planned the little girl landed on his side a small sound.
It seemed she wasn't meant to stay there though as felt her side right off the other side. While he hadn't meant for it to happen he hoped she was okay he knew this was one of those things that happened to pups, it was part of growing and learning.
She decided to make the best of it as he felt her move closer to his head. He didn't see what she was going to do so as not prepared for her to clamp her sharp little puppy teeth down on his ear and pull. That action didn't bother him considering she was still so small, her size didn't stop her from trying. He did try to took his ear but then he tried to pull her until she would be lying across his neck.
