It was risky being out away from the scowle with the obvious signs of the coyotes. Not to mention they seemed to be ready to take a wolf on if there were more than two of them. The pack needed to eat though and more pretty could be found outside the territory than in. So he'd left early in the morning not sure how long he'd be gone but hoping he'd bring something back. The pups would be there soon and they would need nourishment.

He traveled further from the scowle than he had in previous excursions. He wouldn't be able to bring anything big down by himself but he would find something. As he came to the meadow Tikhon hoped that there might be some rabbits nibbling about.

The dark Agouti started his hunt there. With his nose to the ground he started searching for a trail or a sign that there had been some pretty in the area recently. As he searched he came to a large tree with with an opening in it's trunk that was rather large, the largest he'd seen. Thinking it might he a good place to investigate he started sniffing around it's base.

Addy had scented the coyotes, of course. She’d heard stories from the other members, even been told that she wasn’t supposed to leave the borders without someone. But, she was feeling claustrophobic. She had been sticking close by anyways because of how near Ravenna and Leotie were to their due dates. They’d even started bedding down and hardly even left their dens for long periods of time. Even if Ravenna hadn’t told her it would be soon, she felt like it was a no brainer. After all, both of them were huge. But, all the coyote action had also made her cousins even more smothering than usual. She’d felt like she couldn’t even use the restroom without someone breathing down her neck. So, she’d headed toward the borders and straight past them for a little fresh air. She picked up her pace to a lope. The Archer yearling would go for a little run and be back before any coyotes even knew she was there.

She hadn’t ventured too far from the Ridge, just to the corner of the Meadow, her pace at a gentle trot. Her auds swiveled above her head in alertness, jaws gaping as she took in long breaths. It felt good to be out, almost like she could finally breathe. She entered a small thicket of trees, the warning sign that she was about to enter the perimeter of the lagoon. She was preparing herself to turn around when the strong scent of male and Pookastone hit her. Her honeyed-amber gaze looked around, pondering whether or not she should engage. If it had been Morganna she might not have, but what was wrong with a stranger? She moved toward the scent, finding a man sniffing at the base of a tree with a gaping hole. If she couldn’t blatantly tell it wasn’t him by scent, she might have mistaken the agouti man for Lorcan. “You’ve found a nice little spot here,” she commented, watching his movements curiously.

It was good getting away from the pack for a bit the Artemieva couldn't deny that. He knew with the pups he should be at home within the borders watching for coyotes. Still there were times a man just needed to get away for a bit and clear his head. Besides hunting further out from the borders would almost ensure that he would bring something home. The scent of wolves wasn't strong so didn't drive everything away. That he would take advantage of, he'd come a long way since coming to the lore. Part of that had been learning to care for himself and a pack.

His distraction from the hunt came in the form of a large tree with a hollowed trunk. It was quite the find if he were honest. It would be a perfect place to spend a night or weather a storm. Whatever was in the users fancy. He was so engrossed in his investigation that he hadn't heard the approach of the girl. Didn't know she was there until she spoke. Quickly he turned around to face her, “That I have,” he agreed with a smile, “You my dear shouldn't be traveling alone with the current situation. Since you're out here though perhaps you'd like to join me on a hunt, we can split the spoils.” The Artemieva had taken notice that she carried the scent of a pack on her pelt, one that he knew.
