Dead Empress Backwater Fluffernutter

Viorel had done what he was told. Left the place everyone had gathered and sought off to find either Clover, or Vanadis, whoever was closer. It had turned out to be the latter, and after a rather sullen explanation of what was going on, they were on their way back. Maybe he should have been doing a better job of hiding his displeasure, but he didn’t feel the need to pretend around his girlfriend. He wasn’t happy about the appearance of a new sibling, but he would probably come around, probably.

Arriving on the scene once more, Viorel hung back. He was close enough to provide support to Vanadis should his mother become snippy about her being too close, still reserved. He didn’t feel the need to be front and center, he was just doing his duty. Glancing sideways at Modesto he offered bluntly, ”The healer you requested.” He sank back down into a sphinx pose, ready to leave as soon as it was acceptable, but also jump into action if it was needed.

Viorel had gone to get Clover or Vanadis though Sharlee truly hoped they wouldn't be needed. It wasn't as though her aunt Sita hadn't had puppies before. That was really the only comfort she had to keep her from worrying too much. She didn't know a lot about birth hut she did know that bad things could happen.

She was given some relief when Vanadis arrived. At least there would ve a healer close by. Other than that it was just a lot of waiting until Sita's voice could be heard carrying a name out to them. Hazelnut, would be her new cousins name. She wondered what her new cousin woukd ve like once she was older. 

"I'm excited to meet her," she happily let Sita know from the den entrance. Another Valle had come into the world to join their already large family.  With all hope the youngest Valle would be raised among her siblings and cousins.

Hazelnut the mother had decided. Though Modesto couldn't imagine naming one of her own (though she didn't have her own, now did she?) after a nut fitting for the rodents, Hazel did sound nice enough.

Modesto for the time being was content to watch her sister through the den opening. The lighting within was dim, marking the outlines of her sister's form though she could not see the little bundle well which nestled at her side. No matter. By now Vanadis was coming, moving herself between so that she could assist. Modesto lifted and backed up, taking in the bee information that not only was Clover a healer, but Vanadis as well. Her nephew had a type, it seemed.

Warm eyes lifted then to meet her nephew, a curt nod sent into his direction from his words. Alas, Modesto tossed a last glance to Vanadis. It would be left to time to see who would be fitting as a woman at Viorel's side, to take the Valle name and their pups to be seen as more then just a collection of basterd pups. Vanadis Valle had a good ring to it, she thought.

Silently as she mused to herself, Modesto decided to take her leave.
