A deep warm growl emitted from within Navar. It was a combination of the sudden feeling of regurgitation and pure happiness from the unexpected and wholeheartedly welcomed meal that she had obtained. As she continued to feed herself she did little to notice that the female who helped her kill the deer had yet to even touch it. Supposing she wasn't hungry herself Navar continued to gorge herself. It wasn't until she saw Rose approaching in a slow manner, eyes adverted, with her tail tucked that she had remembered what Rose said before. This was a partial kill for her pack. Even though Navar lacked the knowledge of how a pack worked within itself she could guess that they wouldn't be happy if the lady came home empty handed.
The thought of her old first-come-first-serve ways made her feel like more of a vulture and she clenched her jaws around a small spinal vertebrae and nearly broke it in half. Amber eyes locked on Rose as she came closer to the deer, and once again Navar fought the urge to send her backwards with a spitting snarl. When would she have another meal like this? Nearly a year as a scavenging loner had started to turn her to a savage. With a sudden realization she swallowed what was left within her jowls and took a moment to sit back, her stomach awkwardly round and grotesquely heavy with raw meat. Navar had nearly stripped the back half of the deer to the bone, leaving nothing but blood stained earth. She turned to Rose, keeping her tone well controlled.
<b>"I hope we meet again, Rose."</b> was all she said before reaching down to pick up the bottom half of the deer's back leg that she had managed to gnaw loose.
As quickly as she could she stole back in the direction from which she had come to silently and peacefully enjoy her claimed remains. Before slipping into the thicket she turned and caught sight of Rose once more and paused in silent thankfulness then disappeared like a white ghost.
