He had apparently been too far away on his patrol to hear the call. This was an excellent example of why they needed more members. They were simply stretched too thin, especially with Narime' in her delicate condition. Her stomach gave her fits and her softly rounded belly kept her from the hunt for larger prey. That left he, Kieth and Simaea to do the majority of the hunting which he knew must irk his lovely huntress, but there was no getting around it. Perhaps Anglo could aid in that area as well. With so few of them, they all needed to be jacks of all trades. Hunting, guarding and caring for the expectant mother of their next generation.
Anglo actually reminded him of Guiness in form. A bit shorter than himself, but quite muscular... a powerhouse to be sure! He appeared hale and hearty for a loner coming out of winter, which spoke of his ability to take care of himself. The excitement that Narime' spoke of was evident. Anglo was ready for a home and happy to have been accepted by Narime', but he waited patiently for Sloane's judgement. This spoke highly of the wolf's integrity. While the huge leader couldn't see himself ever turning away a wolf that Narime' had given her blessing, for she was a smart and intuitive fae, the fact that Anglo wanted the approval of both of the leaders meant a lot to Sloane. His father would have wholeheartedly approved of this man and so did Sloane. He would prove himself in action, soon enough.
As he'd been evaluating the newcomer, Kieth had arrived and greeted him as well, presenting a fresh kill for the alpha's approval. He gave Kieth a smile of greeting and thanks, then turned back towards Anglo golden amber eyes lit with approval. "Welcome to Whisper Caverns, Anglo." he greeted him formally, immensely glad to add another to their ranks.
He noticed with Kieth's arrival, more so his catch, Narime' went from looking on the edge of green to ravenous. Her beautiful lavender tinted eyes seemed to linger on the hare longingly. He smiled and said to Kieth, "It seems that your timing could not have been more perfect Kieth. Our queen is hungry!" With that he gently nudged Narime' towards the rabbit. He knew her and she wouldn't just take the rabbit. But it was her right as alpha to eat first and her right as an expectant mother to eat now! With her stomach on the war path, she needed to eat whenever she could, new member or no.
