Wraith Kael

Amber eyes danced with delight at her threat, pleased to have the reaction he was looking for from her after the splashing. @Craw had made a sound decision, as always, when he sent the brute to accompany her. Unless he was forced from the pale Alpha's side, it was rare for Wraith now to wander far from it. By forcing him to get out, it allowed the northerner the chance to bond with another packmate. Even if it hadn't been Craw's initial intention, the black brute knew it had to have been considered. The spider-faced male was as calculating as they came, and while it wasn't malicious with concerns to Wraith, the brute couldn't imagine the thought hadn't crossed Craw's mind.

He laughed and turned his head away from the splash @Celandine made herself on her own plunge into the lake. He circled back around towards her before noticing her chase and quickly spun to swim away once more. Of course, she caught up in no time. Wraith was a mountain wolf and not a horribly quick swimmer. He felt her teeth nipping at the back of his neck and grinned, whipping about to clack his own teeth playfully against hers in a mock fight.

It was only once his ears inadvertently dipped beneath the water's surface in his play that Wraith shook his head violently and angled back towards shore. Having water down there not only muffled his hearing, but also just felt weird! With his paws back on solid ground, he shook his head more forcefully until the excess water was expelled. Still, he looked back to where the white she-wolf still swam and bowed down with his tail waving high over his back to let her know he was still willing to play, but less so where his ears could fall victim again. He darted along the shore and even lunged back into the water where only his elbows and below were submerged, barking and carrying on like a wolf half his age. So much time around the pups was having a rejuvenating effect on his attitude.

Celandine Argyris

Although Wraith's retreat had more to do with the water itself than Celandine's own attack, she felt some sense of pride at having won. Still, the woman could taste the strangeness off the moment, the foreignness of laughing and carrying on like a cub. She'd forfeited her own puphood in a desperate attempt to exude a certain aura, so the amount of time the fae spent in situations such as these was limited at best. She was who she was though, and no amount of excitement could change that.

The sun had changed positions, noticeably favoring the west, so it was with great disappointment that Celandine pulled herself from the waves. Water sloshed from her thick coat, heavier with each step until all four paws stood on solid ground. She figured she looked something akin to a drowned rat, having lost half her mass due to the fur clinging tightly to the former princess' skin.

Mischief twinkled in her eyes as she moved towards the man, intent on one thing, and one thing only. The corner of her lips drew upwards as she made an attempt to close the distance. Only when she was confident that the spray would hit him, did she let loose with a shake of her own. Water flew in every direction, pouring from her coat in sheets, and soaking the dry soil beneath her paws. Feeling half a wolf lighter, the woman looked up to see if he had been hit.

Wraith Kael
Sorry for the wait, friend.

Wraith was no spring chicken. Well versed in the subtle language of sly looks and hidden smiles, the brute held one of his own. He allowed the pale woman to draw close and didn't react to her shaking her sopping wet coat all over him. Politely, he waited for her to finish. After that, all bets were off.

The large man swung a hip in her direction, intending to knock @Celandine off balance and potentially knock her back into the small pond. With a laugh, he then bounded out of reach and spun down into a play bow. If she wanted to have it that way, they might as well have a proper spar. Of course, the black man was skilled at keeping the energy low enough not to incite a true fight from high tensions, so he had no concerns that this would remain only playful banter between two packmates.

More than most, Wraith required the constant physical affirmations of pack bonds. He wasn't familiar enough with Celandine to brush against her or nuzzle as he would with Morganna - that would come with time - so for now, he could only laugh and play as pups would do.
