“He’ll be thrilled to see you,” she reassured the girl, her eyes warmly studying the features of her swarthy daughter. Inna was so different from her parents and siblings – the stark ebony a possible inheritance from the Tainn lines of her blood. She resembled her great uncle Triell in some ways, and Kisla noted that one day, it would be nice for her to take the two girls to Oak Tree Bend to meet part of their family. Both would have been excited for such an adventure – as they both enjoyed travel.
But that time would need to wait until her mate had recuperated fully, and as they neared the den where Maksim rest, Kisla cast her daughter a warm glance before nudging her flank gently toward the entrance. She did not make movement to see the man first and tell him the good news – she knew he would liven up the moment Inna popped her head in to see him. “I’ll wait out here,” she commented quietly, settling back to her slender haunches as she allowed her daughter to step in. Afterward, the family could take a quiet walk together, at a pace best suitable for her injured mate. It would be good to have their family reunited even further – if even only for such a short time, as they would soon learn.(This post was last modified: Aug 29, 2016, 01:17 PM by Kisla.)
