Birds were tricky things to he hunted able to fly off at a moment's notice, they we're good practice though. Cheedo had come upon a small flock of the little black almost iridescent speckled birds just inside the border. She'd heard them called starlings once and they could be rather skittish so they took a little more care than some other birds she'd hunted before. They weren't huge birds so would not be a meal for a full sized adult and probably not even fill Cyril with how big he was getting. They were good for snack but more important good for honing hunting skills. In had to be quick and quiet if they wanted to sneak up on these birds.
She’d been sitting in a bush not far from the flock observing them for nearly half an hour or more waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce on one. Her tail tapped a silent beat in the ground as she waited patiently for one if the to possibly draw nearer to her hiding place. Maybe even the whole flock which could allow her multiple catches. She didn't know how it would go but they seemed to not know she was there at this point. It was also possible they had gotten used to her scent in the air since the wind had changed a few times since she'd been there. Her moment would come soon as it usually did and all she would have to do is wait.
