Piety Santoro
Dawn, Cloudy, 56 ° F, 13 ° C

As her son grew, so did her own personal time. Cyril was still under her watchful eye but his boundaries were expanding. She trusted everyone within Whitestone Monadnock to stay watchful and keep him in line if she wasn't there to do so herself. So it should have come as no surprise when she unfolded herself from her family before she slipped out into the dawn. She padded along the rough earth of the Monadnock with more grace than when she first started living here. It became more of a muscle memory to her paws of how to escalate and move amongst the prickly grasses and stones.

Piety only slowed her pace when she came to the lake. Having such a nice water source here made it almost unnecessary to wander out into the lowlands in search of a drink or swim. The pale leader waded into the shallow water and welcomed its cool touch against her fur and skin. Her head lowered to soothe the morning thirst that had gotten to her. When she raised her head back up, brown eyes examined the lands with ease. She had felt more at ease with everything lately and she had to wonder if it was due to the return of Odin. He had brought news with him of Morganna which had certainly done wonders to seal up any worried patches in her heart. The female Archer was okay in Torbine with her large litter. Piety still smirked when thinking about that many children running about. She would have welcomed having such a large family with Wraith but she was just as happy with their one son.

The Kael female slowly removed herself from the water. She looked around for a stray stone that was low enough to climb onto. They always made the best perching spots and allowed her to survey the land that laid below the heights of the Monadnock's top.

Cheedo

There were many days that Cheedo thought to sleep in before getting started on her duties for the day. Usually she didn't since she had found she would rather get them done so that she could spend her afternoons napping in the sun. When it was out of course, the spring had been one fill of clouds and rain. The the days when the weather was nice she'd find herself a nice rock that had been warmed by the sun. Often she would sleep on and off until the evening hours when she'd finally get up for her evening duties and meal before turning in for the night. She found it comforting to have a routine and to know what she had to do each day.

So as with every other day as soon as the scent of dawn reached her nose she was up and exiting the den. She was always careful to not wake her packmates as she made her way to the den entrance. Then she'd make her way down to the lake for a drink before she would start a patrol or a hunt. She often switched them up so as to not get bored with her duties, she was diligent about getting everything done. She hadn't noticed as she left the den that morning that Piety had not been present. She'd been watching each of her steps to make sure that she didn't step on anyone. With two new members the den was much Fuller than it had been when she’d come to Whitestone.

When she reached the lake Cheedo wasn't expecting to find Piety in the water seeming to be swimming. It had been a long time since the small agouti had gone swimming herself. “Good morning,” she greeted the pale woman before dipping her head for a drink. “It's a nice day for a swim,” she added once she'd lifted her head from the lake.

Piety Santoro

Company came in the form of the blue-eyed scout. Piety smiled softly as Cheedo spoke. "Good morning to you as well, Cheedo. Did you sleep well?" The pale leader asked with kindness lacing each word. She cared about the smaller woman. If she was going to be running errands for the Monadnock then she needed to be well rested. Well fed too but Piety knew that was taken care of.

"I suppose so. Little chilly but nothing like the winter." A soft chuckle left her lips. Winter in the tundra had been rough for them and those who had been here would likely agree to such a thought. Food had been rough for a while and even their ranks had been crammed tightly with more squabbles than she cared for. She even had the marks to prove such. Now look where she was, leading the pack. And to think she had confined in @Wraith once that she was scared of not being able to maintain her rank. The thought made a small smile tug on her inky lips.

She laid down on the shore of the water source, content to watch her second enjoy the cooling liquid. "Any plans today?" Casual small talk wasn't the best but it would at least fill the silence.

Cheedo

It was a nice surprise to find the pale leader, Cheedo rather liked the times when it was just them and they could talk. The small agouti smiled at the greeting and nodded, “I have been sleeping better since coming to the Monadnock,” she admitted. Before her sleep had been filled with nightmares of her dead children and her time living away from Ritter. Mainly the day she had lost part of her ear, she still after so much time remembered it so vividly.

“No, nothing like the winter but a chilly swim can be rather refreshing.” Especially after working a hard day but Cheedo had yet to start her day which brought them to Piety's next question. The small agouti was thoughtful for a second since she hadn't actually come up with a plan. “I thought I would take care of my duties this morning then maybe talk Cyril into an adventure this afternoon. If he's up for it and it's okay with you of course.” She didn't want to take the boy out and cause his mother to worry about her son. He was her only child and Cheedo knew she would he worried if she didn't know where her only child was. “Are you looking at a good day ahead?” She asked though she knew it was not her business what her alpha did she still cared that Piety was enjoying her time.
