Like before he was her safety and he was the one that could make it all better. Sven didn't seem to care about the way she looked or that there was this voice inside of her head telling her things she knew to be lies. He didn't move away when she touched him with her nose instead he wanted to make it better and most of all she wanted him to. Leotie didn't want to wander around that forest anymore, she didn't want to dwell on the life she had lost. It would be a lot of work that she'd already put in but she knew once she was better she would be up for it.
To finally be able to go home with him and be a part of his life instead of the girl he visited when he could. Leotie wanted that, she had once things had started to go badly for her in the draw but she'd been loyal to them and now she was pledging her loyalty to Sven and his pack. When she hugged him and felt the weight of his head across her shoulders she didn't tense, she relaxed into him and let him hold her. This felt different from any other time they had been together like this. She didn't want the moment to end.
Like everything else it did have to end as he stepped back but a lick was placed on her cheek causing a shy smile to cross her lips. She had missed him more than he would ever know. He was right though as he spoke of finding a creek and washing up. Leotie knew she was a mess and she couldn't go in front of Enoki and the rest of his pack looking so unkempt.
“Okay, but I'm not sure how much can be done,” she half joked some of her old self returning.
This would be the day she put the past behind her as much as she could. Leotie knew there would still be some things she would have to deal with but she was starting a new life and for the first time in a long time she felt small sparks of excitement run through her.
