A grin tugged at the edge of her muzzle as she saw the spark of happiness lighting his eyes. He wasn't a very expressive boy and she loved it when he let down his walls around her. She knew he held few people close to his heart and Inali considered herself lucky to be one of those few. He agreed to her teasing and she smiled. Whichever girl he chose to be his mate in the future, Inali would make sure to have her know that she was one very lucky woman. After all, she would hold the heart of her precious Yuka and nothing could compare to that gift. His soft touch and rough tenor octave broke her from her musings of the future and she leaned into the touch, laughing at his humour. It was a side she didn't get to see much and she saved the memory of it in her mind.
Moving away from eachother, the pair continued to joke around and talk, continuing to catch up on the things that had happened in the months that they had not spoken. Inali completely forgot of the cold, focusing on Yuka and Yuka alone. He was a boy, almost a man, that didn't have much adult presence in his life. She knew that their bond was special and ran deep, and the petite woman hoped that it would never break. Throughout the afternoon, Inali enjoyed his company while trying to simultaneously get rid of the guilt that was beginning to consume her. She had began their reunion determined to tell him the truth, and left him with the sour taste of the lie that she had told her precious young Knight. It wasn't a very good feeling.
