The gray stroked, alabaster female lingered with a renewed energy. The day had further started, and all sleepiness erased. She was ready to take on her new job description, and help Borden. Enforcing the boundries seemed like a good routine to hit off together. This would warn others the territory was not neutral grounds, and may invoke curiousity in a possible member. She could hope, she would not think of failing. Everyone started this way, and all she needed was time and patience. By summer, it could be a whole nother story, and maybe they wouldn't have so many close moments. She'd live to enjoy these quieter times. If they were blessed enough to have puppies, the younglins alone would need greatly from their cargivers.
Legs lifting high she trotted following their invisble route. He had set the bounds, and this was the first time she was following it directly. Borden was a steady guide, and it was nice to go on auto-pilot ,see where the lands ended. Where he'd curved along this way or that, and chose as theirs. Her concentration tried to map out own reminders. Either an odd branch on a tree, a dip and curve with a shrub, whatever popped to her eyes. Coarse concentration wavered when she'd catch a glimpse of his grins. Gently she'd shashay into him, look innocently into the branches of a tree. And quietly they'd drift along like lively shadows, merged together or singular. Where she saw fit, she would mishape a little plot o' earth or bark, placing her scent with it. Their marks of Grizzly hollow would be epicene.
The day was a very good one. She enjoyed this more leisurely "walk". This beat hiking the mountain any day, and was much safer. She was very proud he'd so bravely found them a new home, a great place to start a family. And her face was lit with her contentment, and bliss. She was blessed, and could only imagine taking their family round, and about like this. A trail of little minatures trailing at their feet. Stealing a gaze at her dashing mate, she reveled in allhe had given her. {end}
