Mountain of Dire stay good under pressure

The tawny woman was glad that Cyril seemed to like the place they had found and she felt that Lenae would like it as well. How couldn't she got with how quiet it was.

She gave a nod to Piety's words about the other woman. “Let's hope she can get some.” Cheedo was worried that like her Leane was still haunted by what had happened to Wraith on top of anything that she was already carrying.

It seemed they would be exploring alone and meeting later so Cheedo gave a nod to the group before heading off to do her own exploring.

He let out an audible sigh when Lorcán announced that it would be a better idea for them to separate. Good. Maybe this friend of his mother’s wasn’t so bad after all. For now, anyway. The first impression had been a good one, although his tail flicked in mild irritation as the tawny male began instructing them. Was he planning on leading alongside his mother if they decided to settle along the tarn? That he was unsure of, but (unfortunately for Cyril) his mother's happiness was more important than his own. If that was what she wanted then he would accept it, regardless of whether he agreed with it or not. 

Before setting off he bumped against his mother’s shoulder once more, his lips curled back into a soft smile as he met her gaze before loping off. It was time to find some hiding places… places that the others wouldn’t be able to find… and to make sure the place was clear of enemies or other wolves. Because that was important too.

Once everyone had agreed, Lorcan stayed still and allowed the rest of the group to disperse before he himself turned around to explore the territory. The agouti male offered each of them a smile and nod of his head as they left, silently wishing them good luck.

Sniffing around the area for predators was his top priority, after that it would be to search for a suitable den site. The male had his eye on the gathering of trees which lined the steep mountain cliffs. Digging a den there would provide them with ample shelter from the wind, rain and snow as well as provide them with shade during the warmer months. It was to this area of the territory that he set off to first, tail high and waving with excitement as he followed his nose through the maze of tall snow covered trees. 

To his relief he found no scent of other predators, none that were recent anyway. Lorcan's tail wagged behind him in relief. He would have to tell the others the good news when they regrouped later...
