Chan Eastfall
Siyet's relief was clear as she was freed, and Chan felt his sympathy increasing tenfold. It was evident that the more dire what-if's of the predicament had gotten to the young woman, and given what she'd told him of her past, he certainly couldn't fault her for it. The wolves who'd raised her had vanished when she'd needed them, forcing her to learn early a hard truth - anything could go horribly, irreparably wrong at any time.

She lavished Kateri with praise and affection before turning her gratitude onto him. When she pressed her cheek to his neck, he draped his own throat over her shoulders, returning the gesture in a hug.

"It's okay," he encouraged softly before letting go as she pulled away. His brows knit with empathy while his smile tried to assure her that she was safe and without debt, a soft chuckle falling from his maw. He'd dig her out a million times if he had to, it was what any decent wolf would do in his opinion.

"You don't gotta, friends have each others backs, right?"

He felt Kateri at his shoulder then, and turned his head to meet her gaze.

"You okay Kati?"

Siyet Crym
Siyet was glad that the had friends like Chan. People she could rely on that could get her out of a sticky situation. It made the fact that he was leaving all the more sad.

Siyet took a moment to herself while Chan checked up on the youngling. She stretched her legs and her back, she was feeling some muscle soreness from having been stuck.

She hoped there was nothing too major in regards to injuries, but based off how she was feeling, she didn't think so.

Kateri Vuesain-Slayer
It was a relief that Si was out of the snow and that she seemed to be okay. Still Kateri thought that the pale woman should go and see Aquene just to be sure. The young Slayer couldn't imagine what it might be like to be stuck in the snow like she'd been. The only word that came to mind was scary.

She listened to Chan's words about friends having friends backs, that Si hadn't needed to thank him. She took those words she felt were valuable words to remember.

Kateri was glad that she'd been able to help the woman but she was now a little worried about her own condition. She waited for her uncle to acknowledge her after touching his shoulder. When he asked if she was okay she looked between the adults before letting her mismatched gaze settle on Chan.

"My leg hurts a little more than usual but I think it is okay. I think Si and I should both go and see my mother and I was wondering if you would come too in case she has questions."

She fully thought her mom would understand and not be mad at her. Still her mother might have questions about what had happened.

Chan Eastfall
Kateri was an expressive and articulate speaker, much like her mother. She spoke her concerns concisely, asking that they both be escorted to the infirmary. Chan nodded, not at all opposed to taking the time for such a task and agreeing that it was a smart precaution to take.

"Of course," he answered, smiling a little more broadly even as the corners of his lips remained angled with sympathy. He was proud of her for aiding another even when it physically pained her to do so, though wished none of it had been necessary. Chan was starting to loathe how much the mountain hurt rather than helped his loved ones. When once he'd been fond of the valley's position to connect the two halves of Relic Lore, he now couldn't help but wonder how much better things might have been for them all if the range hadn't existed at all.

"You both good to walk?" he asked, ready to help either support their own weight if need be. Siyet appeared alright and had yet to complain of an injury, but that didn't necessarily mean she wasn't suffering some kind of affliction from the wet, heavy snow.

Siyet Crym
Kateri had brought up a good point about going and seeing her mother. Just in case there were and injuries she couldn't see. She testing walking a bit and looked to Chan.

" Yes I think I am good to walk. Kateri and I can head over there now. Again, than you so much Chan..with out you being here I'm sure it would have been much worse. Thank you as well Kateri, you were a big help too. Let's go."

Kateri Vuesain-Slayer
The young Slayer smiled when Chan agreed to go with her to see her mother. It was a relief to have her uncle with her though she was sure that her mother would understand. She was also happy when Si agreed to go as well, Kateri didn't think that the woman should skip out on a visit with Aquene after what she'd just been through. "Thank you uncle Chan," she said appreciatively touching her muzzle to his.

She smiled at Si as the woman spoke to her, "I'm just happy we could get you out without any serious injury I hope." She looked up at Chan to answer his question. "I'll be fine to walk. I've gotten pretty good at not using that leg," she offered with a small smirk.

Kateri was well practiced in keeping her weight off her injured leg especially when it hurt. She wasn't worried in the slightest. She really just wanted her mother to check and make sure it was still healing properly.
