Inali had continued to be silent for the rest of the time, her eyes attentive to the young woman in front of her. Even if Minka was like a sister to her, Malia was her first concern. Another thing that she had noticed was that sometime between the rising events, Asterion had sneaked away. It angered her, there was no doubt about that. How could he leave his pack mates, Minka especially, in the mist of danger. But now as not the time to worry about the coward, since the woman who seemed protective over Malia, began to speak.
It was a sort of compromise, and Inali guessed that was all she could ask for. Inali 'woofed' so she could grab their attention. She opened her maws to speak, a compromise of her own dancing along her tongue. In a clear voice, she spoke. "Grab Malia. I'll take you to our borders." She turned her eyes from the woman to Minka. With a flick of her tail, she signaled for her to run behind the woman. If the woman tried any funny buisness against her, she knew Minka would have her back.
"Try to keep up," the young scout stated with a small smile. But it quickly dimmed. She just wanted this to end, to have Malia back on safe ground. Preferably, before Nari skinned them all alive. With those thoughts cruising through her head, she began to run, her lithe body weaving through the fiery red flowers with ease.
