Tlarx brought himself to the lake, where he knew the wolf would here him when he called. The ravelment no longer twisted his mind; he knew what he wanted and how it would be done. He was going to challenge the current leader, Kegan, for his position in controlling Poison Path. His dear sweet Athena needed him by her side, and he was not going to let her down. Of course, Tlarx did not know how Kegan himself thought of the pack; what his plans were for it. Either way, the gray-white man was not about to back down. Padding up silently to the large body of still water, Tlarx gazed down upon his reflection. Deep brown eyes stared back as he stood. Blinking, he lowered his head, lapping rather slowly at the water. The thoughtful man now brought his head upwards, listening to the cry of some sort of predatory bird. With a small smile, he turned away from the lake, walking a few paces before stopping in his tracks. The silence of the area surrounded him; he became one with the territory. Raising his head toward the clouded sky, the male parted his jaws, allowing a long, eerie howl to escape his throat. He beckoned for Kegan. |
