Let the pups have some fun with her first before any adults jump in please.

Far from being a strepitous wolf, Aniu had kept her distance since her meeting with Jaysyek. Although she had been accepted into the Hollow she hardly held the confidence to integrate and so, had kept her distance well. Away from the pups and away from the pack. The scent that had marked her as one of their own had long since faded from her fur and yet she felt bound to the cedar trees that marked their home.

She worked hard, hunting alone, rarely catching anything larger than a hare, but what she did manage to catch, went dutifully into the pack caches. Now the seasons were beginning to turn again, they would need all the food they could squirrel away for the long winter ahead.

Although she was still shy, she no longer slunk about like a fox in a hen house. Her small frame was always neutral, and while she was still prone to flinching at sudden noises and movements, it had been a long time since she had embarrassed herself like she had at Swift River. Her ears pinned back and her brow crinkled in an embarrassed pout at the thought. If only her sister had seen her. She would have been so ashamed.

She shook the thoughts from her head with a sharp jerk. This wasn't the time to be thinking of suck nonsense. She had a job to do if she didn't want her pack mates to starve. Lowering her dark nose to the ground, she took in the scents around her. Finally a frightful cooing caught her attention. The pigeon was earthbound, its wing stuck out at a sickly angle. The small bird was hardly a meal, but it was still an opportunity she wasn't quite willing to pass up.

Crouching low, she stalked forward, hardly necessary given the birds inability to fly, but she did it out of habit non the less. Realizing how foolish she must appear, she raised herself in plain sight as she stalked forward with purpose.

The poor thing could sense its impending demise and flapped and hopped about in an effort to escape the gaping jaws of the peppered wolf. She made several lunges, a comical dance before her teeth finally found what they were seeking. It was over quickly and a few feathers had become lodged in her fur, but she had her prize.

Now to return it to her pack...

Renier Lyall
<blockquote>There should have been enough unexplored turf around the hollow to keep the boy busy. He had been to the stream, nosed Borden's caches, and even went in the direction of the Marsh deciding for once he probably better not leave the cozy forest. Mother warned them it was about to get colder, and things would change. There was something to her eye that had told him if he disobeyed again he would suffer from it. Best he could he tried to ignore his impulse to wander without limits. If he found something of interest he would follow it, but if it lead past the borders he turned, and began to run in the opposite direction.

It would become a different game.

Trotting back with intent to check out Jasper Rocks, he was passing back and forth across the insivible barrier of Grizzly Hollow when he caught the lady's scent. This was no the first time he had, and being a lot more stronger this oppertunity he would not pass up. What was so strange was he had never seen this wolf, but her trails hung close to his home. He did not understand it at all, in fact it bothered the boy.

His nose snorting, and his tail high he thought about recruiting Ryvet or Taima. Quickly he decided against it. No, he was going to catch this trespasser today all by himself. Fast as his growing limbs, and over sized paws would let him he began to track her. It took him longer than a skilled wolf, and maybe the fact she wasn't moving fast it was not so hard for the young Lyall to follow.

He was so certain he would see her, his golden eyes kept jumping ahead of his paws. When a strange sound caught his attention. A cock of his head, and flick of his large ears he listened. Hearing movement of it, he strode forward to see a very silver, very small wolf making an attempt to catch it. Watching with interest, and amazement she snatched it with little effort. The boy stared dumbfounded, how had she?

A snap of his jaws, it all came together. He was looking for her, and she was on his homelands, eating his bird. A deep scowl, and his hair prickling along his shoulders, small tail raised, he prowled forward. <b>"Hey, that's my bird!"</b> He growled as threatening as he could, while rushing toward the stranger.</blockquote>

He had slept in, and when he awoke his siblings had long since left the confines of the den. Raising himself with a stretch and a yawn, the pale wolf blinked a few times to clear the haze of sleep from his eyes. Renier had taken off without him again.

With a pout, the boy wandered into the light, wondering which direction his brother may have gone today. He followed an old scent, before it intersected with a much fresher trail and he allowed his mind a moment to differentiate between the two. He seemed to sniff the spot for an age, first following one trail for a few steps, and then the other. Finally he decided the stronger of the two would be best, and he raced towards the borders, stopping every now and then to check his brother was still ahead.

There was a strange smell mixed in there too. Someone he didn’t know. Instinctively his hackles rose. Who would dare to trespass on their home? And why hadn’t mother or father or Kade or anyone chased this thing off yet? It would seem Renier was having similar thoughts of his own because the trail skewed, making a line straight to where the scent was strongest... So as always, Ryvet followed.

She may have been a small wolf, but she was still larger than he was. He arrived in time to hear Renier growl and watch him stalking towards the female who had just caught something that smelled tasty. He followed his brothers lead, tail raised, own small growl adding to the air. If only their parents could see them. He was sure they would be so proud.

Taima Lyall Avelin
<blockquote>The second to rise from the den Taima had made plans for the day. Practice hunting and tracking, find something cool, and maybe try to follow Mom or Dad's trail to see what they were up to. After having filled her stomach with a small bit of squirrel that Renier had apparently left alone, she surveyed the grove around her. The forest, though the air had chilled to a slight degree, was still alive with sounds and all sorts of activity. Her gaze darted from one branch to another before finally settling on the ground. She stood up and her brother's scent wafted her way. Her nose twitched and, deciding on a whim, she opted to follow his path instead.

A smirk formed on her masked face as she half-stalked, half-loped past the roots of the ancient trees. Her pace slowed however once another scent had joined Renier's route. Her interest piqued and her smirk turned into an amused grin. <i>What were the boys up to?</i> She snorted at the thought that they had possibly, intentionally did not invite her for this particular adventure towards the borders of their home. if there was mischief and fun to be had, she was going to be apart of it. Better to be scolded as a group than alone (which were now less frequent than before now that she understood why it was important to heed her parents' words).

When an unfamiliar scent joined with her brothers' tracks, she froze for a moment. There was a <i>stranger</i> here. In Cedarwood Forest. In Grizzly Hollow. Her golden eyes widened but as Renier's snarl, accompanied by Ryvet's, rose up into the air somewhere ahead of her. They had found <i>her</i>, this unfamiliar face that she knew to some extent was apart of the pack. Instinctively, after thinking maybe her brothers were having quite a time in confronting this strange new face, she prowled up behind Ryvet with her ears pointed forward and her tail held high. It seemed that this lady had <i>taken</i> Renier's bird. <i>WELL, then...</i>

Her muzzle wrinkled upward and her eyes focused on the silver-pelted woman with a hard stare. With her fur bristled along her shoulders and upper back, Taima stepped to Renier's shoulder, determined to be <span class='word'>utile</span> in this encounter. <b>"Give. THAT. <i>Back</i>."</b></blockquote>

She didn’t get far before the first miniature wolf accosted her... miniature because it was incredibly rare for her to encounter anyone smaller than she. His proclamation that she had his bird rang somewhat true to the little lass. She had caught it for her pack, he smelled of her pack, therefore, the bird could well be his...

Her ears folded back as she began to slowly approach with every intention of leaving it at his feet, but she froze when the second little monster appeared and started growling at her for no good reason. Her eyes narrowed at the young wolf in reproach, her jaws still clamped firmly about the pigeon. What were the young doing so far from the den...? She resigned herself to watch the pair, and escort them back when they were done, when yet a third voice joined the fray and told her to give the bird back to the first one.

It was all too much for the timid little wolf and she dropped to her back, forgetting to lessen her grip on the scrap that was causing such a fuss. She lay there, with feathers in her face and awaited what was surely to be her impending doom... not for a moment thinking her posture could be mistaken for play.

Finally, her jaws loosened and the pigeon fell next to her head, just as dead as she was certain she would be momentarily...

oh my hell he's a brat xD sorry Aniu

<blockquote>It was easier to get even more cocky with his brother by his side adding his growl to Renier's own. Though Ren hardly needed any encouragement, he had already made up his mind. <i>He wanted that bird.</i> How on earth he knew Aniu was not the type of wolf to take it, and snap at such a full of it pup it was hard to say.

His large paw would take another step, and he would curl his black lip higher. The silver wolf hardly needed any more convincing ready almost to give it to them. Taima's bold voice struck the air, and Renier wasn't sure what quite happened. All he knew was his bird was pointing in the air, and the wolf...was she on her back? That was weird.

His expression feel, though his tail was still curled over his back. What was wrong with her? Couldn't she have just given the bird and taken off? Or, well say something? A quirked brow of puzzlement he looked to Ryvet, and then Taima. Did they know what she was doing? Hmmm....

Playing dead! Well, that was a pathetic trick, and she topped it with the bird falling from her limp jaws. He could play along. <b>"She's dead, but lets make sure,"</b> he said, trying to keep his voice quiet.

With carefully steps, the boy cautiously prowled forward, his nostrils twitching at her scent. It was with a smirk, he pounced on her chest, letting his teeth take a snap at her paw before yelling, <b>"Get her!"</b>

The grey thing flopped, and the pale boy was stunned. His growling stopped as suddenly as she had fallen. Did they really kill her? Shock was painted clearly on his face as his head lowered to look inquisitively at the wolf just laying there, on her back, the bird all but forgotten at next to her head. Nervous eyes darted to Renier then over to Taima. What had they done? Would mum and dad be proud or mad? His thoughts began to race. They were gonna be in sooo much trouble...

But... wait, was that... that was BREATHING! The big faker! Renier seemed onto the stranger all along and the young boy was now determined to make her pay! He nodded in silent agreement. They would have to make doubly sure she really was dead. This was a great game, none of the other grown ups played with them like this...

As his brothers yell sounded into the air, he joined the fray with a bark and a laugh, nipping at her rear legs and pouncing on her tail. They would teach her to steal Renier’s bird and then try to trick them when she wasn’t really dead!

Taima Lyall Avelin
<blockquote>Taima eyed the woman with a hard glare, watching as she <i>folded</i> and seemingly <i>crumpled</i> before them. A soft growl sounded out from within her and as her masked brother suggested that they make sure their target had been defeated she followed suit. When he made to pounce at Aniu's chest, she went ahead to inspect the woman's head. Unaware of Ryvet's panic, the girl inspected the feathers scattered over the supposed corpse's face. Well, things could have been worse and she and her brothers could have been attacked or even <i>scolded</i>, but this pack member here just... flopped over.

Her muzzle wrinkled as she fixated her gaze on one of the loose feathers and how it floated down from where it had once been perched on Aniu's muzzle. <i>"Get her!"</i> Renier called out and Taima realized in that instant that the woman was still alive. Tricks were supposed to be <i>her thing</i> and she was taking all the credit and fun out of it all. Renier attacked one of Aniu's forelimbs as Ryvet made for her hind legs. Taima went for a more sensible approach and made an attempt to dive for one of the gray lady's ears. If she could grab a hold of one of those velvety triangles, she and her brothers just might be able to keep her in place and make her <i>pay</i> for what Taima had mistaken for misconduct of <i>stealing</i> a pack member's meal.</blockquote>

Oh no... they were... they were ATTACKING her! Soft small bodies launched and each found their mark, they had co-ordinated well, shock quickly morphed and before she could stop it, a giggle escaped her chest. The relentless attacks of the children were tickling her!

The well aimed nips at her paws and the persistent tug on her ear made it impossible for her to stay in place. She rolled onto her stomach, attempting to shake the small beasts off her as she bowed down playfully, her tail wagging at an almost unseeable rate.

She had forgotten how much fun the little ones could be.

She jerked forwards before pulling back again with a smile and a short bark, trying to entice them into chasing her. She rolled onto her side, over on her back and then over again, all the while inching back into the territory and closer to the den. With any luck they would take the bait and follow her home without realising what was really going on.

The bird was left forgotten on the ground. If they ran at her she would fall easily, happy to play the pretend ‘prey’ if it meant they were at least going to be a little closer to home.

A little powerplay Becuffin, I can change it.

<blockquote>Pointy puppy teeth did not vicously snap at her paw. They trid to grab as hard as he would in any kind of play.

She began laughing he withdrew from her chest, and made a harder attempt to get a hold of the folds of her arm pit. She was rolling to her stomach, and he let out a bark to warn his siblings to get back. He had thought she was going to "babysit" on them, but instead she smiled, enticing them in a new game with her body laungague. Puzzled, the boy's brows were firmly set against his golden eyes. She wanted to play? He let out a questionable bark, but his brown tail wagged.

The boy would jump toward her again, with a light growl, while he tried to bite the thick fur at her chest. He tugged, but the force was hardly anything to a wolf even her size. When she moved, he had to release, trying again to catch her. He was not quite quick enough.Neither was he sure what this was all about, but it was fun.
