It was long beyond time.
Despite the fact the male had slipped in and out of the territory a few times to bestow food within the pack cache’s, his time was strained far thinner than before. Borlla’s sides now swelled with the life of their cubs, and he had managed to wrangle together a few wolves to travel across the mountains with them. They were a ragtag group, though Phineas found himself fond of each of them thus far, if not impressed by them.
Yet he could not simply be swallowed the shadows – upon arrival, he had requested temporary stay, and while he had hoped to settle further and higher within Willow Ridge, he would not do so without taking Elettra as his mate – and he could not play the role of father to cubs that were not his. Not again.
He stood upon the borders now, no longer feeling welcome within the lands he now turned his back to. His muzzle lifted, summoning forth the leader of the lands and to offer his final goodbye. His song was one of brief notification and request – she could accept his departure from where she stood now, or she could some talk to him. The option was hers, and as his howl faded against the evening horizons, the male’s figure lowered slightly in submission to the Ridge wolves, awaiting to see what farewell was in store for him.

Elettra Archer
Def. writing something. XD
She had broken them. Whether it was just the relationship she had with Phineas or the relationship he could have held to the pack, she knew it was over. Though his scent still vaguely graced the lands, his absence within them was more so now then before he had found out of her breeding with Kiche. Now, the brew was into half their cycle and the woman came to an acceptance that she would never lay eyes on Phineas Argyris again. Though likely not at first, Phineas devotion had been for his affections for her and her alone, not the pack as a whole. Maybe he did not even know he was the Second now of the pack. Maybe he did not know that with still Sica's absence it would be he to finally stand at her side - but too late. He didn't care now. His heart was to his future and a future not with she where jealousy and bitterness lie with her having bred with a man that had not been him.
Elettra figures now that if he truly cared for her as deeply as he said to have, he would have stayed. He would have waited for her, fought for her love. No. He had shoved that love into the first woman he had crossed in the aftermath. There was no going back from this. Ruiko had turned away from her, Alexander had left her in the dust and now, Phineas would whisk away with a new shining penny with Elettra to merely stand and watch in his wake. Was this how relationships always be with her? Would ever time she held even a flicker of emotion towards someone, they would leave her? Perhaps she was forever doomed to under find love again, or perhaps it was that she was far too lost, too fucked up, for anyone to bother trying to get beyond that cold, hard shell of hers.
His echo cries out along the lands of the Willows, offering his farewells and a moment for them to do he same as they chose. Her movements carried her slowly, easy, as she made her way. She crest the top of a rocky hill, far behind him, looking but not approaching. She did not want him to see her like this. Not pregnant, but utterly torn by loosing him. So she and her emotions kept at way, watching from afar. If he lifted his head, turned around behind himself he would be her in the distance and distance is what would remain. She bites back the whine in her throat as it catches on her tongue so harshly that now she can feel blood swell in her mouth. A gasp taking her. Goodbye....

Ooh, misunderstood situations. :(
He was met with silence, and never before had it seemed so deafening. His farewell cry echoed across Willow Ridge lands, and as his song faded, his muzzle would lower. His eyes scanned out across the territory, hlding back the frown that threatened to erupt as a storm to his emotions. No goodbyes came from his pack mates.. especially not the one he longed to hear from the most.
The silence only proved there remained nothing here for him, and as his gaze would fall upon a distant ebony figure, he felt himself harden toward Willow Ridge. The service he had placed toward the pack had gone unanswered, seemingly uncaring, and without another thought placed toward the wolves that inhabited the pack, the ivory male turned then, his figure loping toward Borlla, who now carried his pups. To his future.
Desdemona had betrayed him only over a year ago, and while he could not hold Elettra to such a similar situation, the mere thought that she had chosen to breed with the lowest of the pack had sealed the fate that she held no feelings toward him at all – she had simply wanted something she could control.
His paws lead him away from the lands then, not once did his fiery eyes peer back to see if any watched him take his leave.. their silence had been the answer he had needed to fully push himself forward.
