@Capella and @Karpos
His sharp warning to Capella to never mention his sister ever again had her posture lowering once again, but instead of it being in fear or sadness, it seemed to be in apology. His aggression dimmed ever so slightly: tail lowering an inch and hackles lying flat on his neck and spine, but his lips were still curled up, showing the points of his canines. Although he was angry at her for leaving them, he couldn’t be angry forever, and the fact that she was submitting and showing that she was really sorry for disappearing pleased him in a way.
When Capella started speaking, the Pitch Pine Leader bore his silver eyes into her own dandelion yellow eyes, and made no movement or sound during her speech. Her words made the corners of his lips form into the smallest of smiles, but it was there. Through his anger and sadness at her leaving and then returning months later, he felt almost happy that she had come home. He had missed her, even if he wouldn’t tell it to himself.
At her plea directed towards him, asking if he would let her join, and that she would show that she truly wanted to be a part of his pack, his smile grew slightly. If what Capella said about her knowledge of plants, then she could take over Lachesis’ job as the healer for Pitch Pine Trail, as the ghostly boy was no longer with them. Taking in a deep breath, Ace softened his pose: tail lowered so it was level with his body, ears no longer in their forward position, a smile on his face. “If what you say is true, then I will allow you to join the ranks of Pitch Pine Trail.”
With that, the Pitch pine Leader strode forward the few paces that separated them, and gently took her muzzle within his, showing that while Capella was within Pitch Pine Trail, he was in charge. After a few moments, he let go and rubbed his side along hers, coating the creamy fae’s pelt with the scent of his pack, of her new pack.
It was then that he stepped back and turned his creamy head to look at the young prince. His brows furrowed as he stared at the dark pup. Soon, but not now, he would have to speak to him about showing manners around adults and not talking back. But he wouldn’t be too hard. Karpos was still young, and had much to learn, and he himself had been much the same at that age. Young and foolish, was what all of the adults had called him and his sister. But he wasn’t back then, he was in the present, and more urgent matters had to be resolved.
