lol oops cute datura.

This time he wasn't running away.

The altercation with the high-handed stranger had thrown the golden father-to-be's former attitudes out the window about the quickly budding seeds of his first litter, his progeny, the heirs of Grizzly Hollow. Though initially he wanted nothing to do with Taima's pregnancy and wished that the total number of cubs were zero, he now found himself wondering just how many cubs were possible to have. Surely, Taima was big enough that she could fit... four, eight — no, ten! little Datura's inside of her. He wanted to fill the whole bear den — which Taima had told him was quite large— to the brim with squirmy little wolf-lings! And surely, there would be one pup among this dozen —among this score, since, if he was honest, his seed was quite potent — that looked like him, that could be his shadow, his true heir. It could be him, Datura, reborn with a second chance, a chance to get it right. Mini-Datura would want for nothing, Datura was sure of it. There would be no suffering, no broken family, no betrayal for any of his children. He would do better. He was better.

All this and more was on the boy's mind as he wandered down the the edge of the creek, about to commence his ritual bathing practice. Though these day's he had glued himself to Taima's side, he did need to maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness for his lady. There was still a number of things his dutiful wife did not know about him, and his baths were definitely one of them. Especially after being found out by that rude loner, Datura was certain Taima would laugh at him, and therefor all she knew was that he was "stepping out," and would be back "sooner than our children!"
