She was still pulling herself away from the man she had once so easily fallen for. She felt as if that would never happen again though and she honestly hoped that it never would. The mother did not think she would be able to handle being crushed by another again. It was painful the first time and even more so the second. Hollow would never even get to see their children...she knew that he was gone. And the thought made her sick, because she knew that Koda probably got a thrill in it, knowing that he actually had a chance at becoming alpha once again. The alpha just wanted what was best for her pack, and she knew that Miccah was not it. He questioned her authority, and Nina knew that it she demanded it, Koda would bow down to her, and she needed someone who was easily compliant.
She did not want her pack in ruins, and so she remained silent when Koda did speak to her, finding it hard to resist rolling her single eye at him. He apologized to her, with which she dismissed it with a flick of her tail, believing he was talking of her struggles and those were something that had made her stronger, she truly did not regret them. His next words however, continued to stir her own fury in the pit of her stomach. Trust. It was such a word that was used so carelessly, it almost angered her to the point of rage. He simply just did not seem to understand her, not as well as he use to, but then, she had been a different woman back then. Much more innocent and vulnerable due to her brother's lashes of anger...and now...now she had her brother by her side, figuratively, and she was much stronger now. She knew that she had to do to lead her pack and make sure they survived, and that was what mattered to her, their safety. Breaking herself out of her thoughts for a moment, she turned her gaze back to Koda, her voice firm and tight, "Is there anything else you must discuss with me?"

I'll archive, great thread as usual Lighting!
Nina was his weakness and would most likely remain so unless something-someone- took her place, he respected and loved her despite the dislike she held for him since his return. As he stared at her, his honey colored eyes taking in the emotion of her singular green, he found that his shoulders had slacked and his posture was that of discreet submission, he did not wish to anger her and found that her patience with him had grown thin. She had little else to discuss with him and as he sat thinking back on this conversation he realized that he did not either--he had given her his proposition and she had accepted it as best she could. It would not be immediate, his rise in rank, but it would be soon he knew that eventually he would catch the young leader off guard and his opportunity to reign once more would show face. @Miccah had an dot on his head and probably did not know it.
Feeling anxious, as though he needed to run and release the tension that had been building within him he shook his head in response to her question before answering with a short and quick, "No, I do not, thank you Nina." before he would soon turn on his toes and leave the general area. He had business to attend, like finding a small meal to fill the low caches or encounter a familiar face that could keep him company. He knew that it was likely that the two wolves would meet up once more, fate always brought them back together--whether it was on friendly terms was a subject all its own.
