Danica
(@Titan @Ash @Kassander)
IC: ~DANICA REINIER~ One day I will out smart you.

The yearling visibly clenched her mouth shut when Titan began to clean the wound. It stung and she found herself moving the leg a touch. She whinned at him hoping he might stop...of course though, she knew this had to be done.

When Titan spoke her eyes went wide. "No, no, no, no, please no!" She pleaded trying to move away. It didn't work as she felt Ash's strong paw press onto her. Then the weight of Narimié laid upon her. She squarmed in vain as she tried to get free. "Please don't." She begged the dark boy she held feelings for.

As soon as he touched it she let out pained whines. Tears started to leak from her eyes. She yelped when Titan first moved it, and tried to jerk her wound away. It hadn't worked though, to her dismay. When he began to pull it out an awful screamish howl fled her mouth. She fought the whole time trying to get free and snapped at the air around her...unable to reach anyone. Then it was out. She was bawing by then, and felt immensely weak. Her big brother Ashton probably wouldn't of cried...nor Tacoma.

"STOP!" She yelled at the same time a bolt of lighting illuminated the Caverens. The sound of thunder fallowed closely behind. Danica tried to push everyone off of her using her front paws. With her right leg she tried to shove Titan's face. She didn't want to hurt anyone...but they were causing her plenty of pain right now! That was for sure.

She could feel his tounge licking her and the relief of the splinters leaving. Unwillingly she stopped her movements and let him remove them. However, she was letting out menacing growls. They were directed to her loved ones; her pack. She felt guilty and angery at the same time. Danica's body was tense but she relaxed a bit when Titan stopped.

Ash was quick to ruin this as she felt the cobwebs pressed onto her. She whinned and begun to cry again...softer this time though. Kassander ran into the scene and she was pleased. A trained professional- atleast in her mind- was here. She lifted her head to try and watch him. When he offered something for pain Dani had it wolfed down in seconds. She could care less of the taste; she wanted relief.

Soon Kass was waiting to put herbs he had chewed onto the injury. Her stumoach lurched. It seemed disgusting to not only have bug remains on her, but some one's spit too. She looked at him queasily. This was not her day.

Titan Thorben
He felt so bad for Danica. She struggled so much, which only made the pain worse, and then cried as he got all of the splinters out. Her pain made him hurt so much that even big brawny Titan was beginning to cry. "I'm so sorry Danica but it needs to be done..." He pulled back to see Ash cover the wound in cobwebs. Then began to reach for the goldenrod when the one wolf they had all been waiting for appeared.

Kassander immediately took action taking the goldenrod from beside Titan and chewing it up. The dark wolf smelled the hellebore and narrowed his eyes as he watched the strangely shaped leaves being eaten by Danica. "Oh, I already gave her ergot and scrub pine... Just so you know." He spoke quickly hoping that he had done well with the patient and done the correct thing. Then, glad to have his teacher there to finish up Titan looked on intently as Kass placed the poultice directly onto the wound.

"What was that other herb he gave her?" Titan spoke the question out loud to himself as he watched on then glanced to the cobwebs that were left. He wondered if they could wrap the cobwebs around the poultice to keep it in place in case Danica moved. Moving to reach the rest of the cobwebs Titan sidled up next to Kassander while lowering his head in a submissive manner. "Will it help if I wrap these around the poultice?" He asked as the healer seemed to not be busy.

Narimé Lagina
(Feel free to skip Nari once more after this post)

Narime watched from the shadows as Titan treated Danica. Her blue eyes absorbed every detail of the treatment while the hunter sat in the back feeling blood lust rise up because of the scent of blood in the air. She ignored that feeling though and began to pad forward to help as Titan asked for somebody to hold Danica down.

Placing her paws opposite of Ash's hold Nari bent forward to press her weight onto the yearling. Concern etched into her features as she looked over the girls leg where the wood stuck out awkwardly. She must have been running pretty fast for it to lodge in there like that... Nari thought as a memory of a hunt long ago flashed through her head. It was the memory of a sprinting deer she had been going after hitting a tree dead on and killing itself. Kyrie? or was it Roasealia? had been on that hunt with the silver wolf. Nari knew full well how dangerous it was when an animal did not keep an eye on its surroundings, especially when high speed was involved.

Her ears moved to the back of her head as Danica bawled and struggled to move out of her captors grips. Titan had almost been kicked in the face by the yearling girls leg as it flung out angrily. Nari was impressed though at how calm Titan continued on, despite the tears in his eyes, when he had been in such fright from the lightning and thunder earlier. Even as another crash of thunder and lightning hit nearby he seemed too preoccupied worrying over Danica to even notice.

Backing away once more as Kassander finally appeared Nari dipped her head in relief to the male as he got to work immediately. She was glad that he had finally arrived, and though anger did bubble in her heart over his not being there when needed; she pushed the anger back knowing that he needed to work right now. There was plenty of time for anger later.

She scented the aroma of some herb Kass had brought with him and immediately recognized it as hellebore. It was the only herb Nari knew by heart because she had used it a few times for herself and others. "What was that other herb he gave her?" the question came from Titan's lips though it didn't seem to be directed to any wolf in particular. Nari slipped up behind Titan and stretched her head forward to talk to him quietly and not bother Kassander while he worked.

"That herb is the only one I do know. It is called hellebore, and when eaten it is good for treating headaches and other pains. Remember it because this is a useful herb to know." Nari spoke softly for only Titan to hear then licked his ear affectionately. "You can find hellebore in wet places around the land. I have found it in whisper Marsh before, but it can also be found in the wildwood far north of here and the marsh." She pushed her nose into Titan's ruff proud of what he had accomplished. As far as she was concerned Kassander wasn't screaming at him saying he used the wrong stuff, so that made her happy. Then slowly she drifted back to the wall of the cave to watch on while occasionally looking to the storm raging outside the entrance.

(fade out for Nari)-I'm not posting her anymore, she'll stay for a while until the storm stops.

Kassander Mikhailovich
Sorry to skip Ash but I figured it might fit the timeline more for Kass to finish applying what was needed and whatnot.

Kassander listened carefully as he worked to his pupil, who spoke about what he had already used to help Danica. It was good and Titan was truly a healer that day. He smiled and nodded though his happiness was short lived. He had screwed up by not being there and he had no doubt in his mind that he had let everyone down. Titan shouldn't have had to do it on his own and by the time Kass had gotten there he had been in tears. Once the cobwebs were wrapped around the wound once more he tucked his head lower, fixing his tail which hadn't been tucked as he hadn't been focusing on posture and manners. "She will be okay." He said with his thick accent. "She needs rest. I have to check them when she wakes. The muscle was stuck." He reported to Ash, Narime and everyone else who was standing there.

He turned to Titan with a soft expression on his face. "You did very well. A true healer, Titan." He said with kindness in his voice. "Hellebore grows best by the lagoon. It is where I was. The store was depleted and it was going to be used for our next lesson..." He trailed off. "But it is put to better use to help with her pain. Dis is lesson on it's own." His English had improved drastically though he was still worried that it wasn't enough to be normal in an everyday pack life. He gulped as he turned to the rest of them, a worried look in his eyes. He'd been doing his job and he knew that Titan could handle a wide variety of situations on his own including the one that had just presented itself, but did the others know that. He himself looked like he was ready for tears but he held them in.

Ash Hervok

Anger was not a new thing for Ash and lately he had done well in smashing any rises in his temper, but now that his nieces life could have been put a risk, he was welcoming the flame of embers until it would consume those around him. He remained still and silent though, allowing the other man to do what he needed to do and removing himself from his niece's body when the time came to do so. His mossy green eyes moved towards Nari's retreated form, and he tried his best to reign in his temper for her sake, which was probably why when he began to speak to Kassander, that he wasn't as harsh as he intended to sound. When the man finished his work, Ash began to growl, his tone coming out low and angry, "Where the hell were you? Danica could have bled out had Titan not known what he was doing. What were you thinking?"

The large man's eyes were pinned on their Healer, and they weren't going to move for quite some time. When the man had explained what he was doing, it made perfect sense, but that was why he had a pupil here, to get the herbs that needed to be collected and bring them back. His jaws snapped together, just to make sure he had to man's full attention before he continued, his tone commanding and fierce, "From now on, if you need to collect herbs, you will send Titan, or another wolf who knows herbs to get them for you, but you will remain here, just in case their is another accident such as this one." The alpha huffed softly, his eyes moving towards Titan and nodding tensely towards the boy, "Titan, you handled this situation well and like a professional, I am very proud of you." With these last words, the Guardian slunk off into the shadows, keeping his ever present eyes on the resting body of his niece.

@Titan

The words were yelled by Ash just before he explained what he had been actively doing. He would have sent out Titan but he was collecting the herbs for a lesson so Titan could learn what they were. though, truthfully, Kass was almost positive that his pupil knew. He then listened as Ash ordered he was to stay within the territory at all times and he nodded. "Yes sir." He would respond in a saddened voice. He preferred to do herb collecting sometimes and as Ash had said, Titan knew what he was doing. Eitherway, he turned to his apprentice and spoke with urgency. "I need you to go to the Thicket of Secrets or Ghastly for Wild Ginger." He told the boy, as there was a lack of it in the den.

Wild Ginger was not an herb he used often but after that last incident, he wanted to be prepared for anything. He was troubled by Ash's command because he was going to take Titan to get a lesson from Elettra soon because he had not done so yet. Even Narimé had suggested that he do so. Inside his mind, Kass was plotting a new lesson plan. He had no doubt that Titan knew enough to get the role of healer, but he still had a lot to learn in Kass' opinion. Some of it was experience and being able to calm down in stressful situations was one of those things. His dark tawny form moved over to the medicine den where he was going to lay down until it was time to check Danica's wound once more. There was nothing else to do anyway since he was territory-bound. He wasn't taking it too well.

Titan Thorben
Titan flicked his deep blue eyes back and forth to the adults gathered near @Danica. He was calming down now and more aware of his surroundings which included the rain pelting the cavern roof and just outside the entrance. Though the yearlings black banner began to wag he kept his head ducked as both Kassander and Ash praised him. The heated words Ash spoke to the healer had Titan a little uncomfortable. He felt bad for Kassander but he wasn't sure if he really blamed the older wolf for what happened. However the praise from both older males had him too elated to feel bad right now. Practically glowing under the adult's approval the young wolf almost blushed until a loud "BANG" of thunder made him yelp and jump almost directly into Ash's large frame. He had almost forgotten about the thunderstorm while worrying about Danica, though the lavender hyssop probably helped out with that too. Glancing up at the large male before shifting quickly away from him, Titan looked at the ground completely embarrassed now.

"Sorry sir." Titan shook his head while tensing himself up ready for the next crash of thunder. However Ash's words rung in his ears. Narrowing his eyes as he mulled the words over, the dark lad's thoughts were interrupted by Kassander's voice.

"Ah...umm.. Ash... I don't know about you, but if I don't know how to identify a plant I generally won't be able to find the thing growing out in the middle of no place without help." The yearling stumbled with his words at the beginning of the sentence as thunder echoed someplace far away. He couldn't help but add a sarcastic tone to his voice along with a shrug of his wide shoulders.

Ash Hervok

Eventually the alpha would get over what had happened, but at that moment in time, Ash had been furious and nothing was going to be able to stop him from his warpath. He was glad that his words were clear to Kassander and even though deep on the inside, the alpha knew that it was wrong of him to punish the man for something he had no control over. But this was his niece and he was sure that Nina would want to know about her daughter's condition as soon as possible. Luckily, there was an answer to his problem and a solution for Titan's own problem. Thinking over what he needed, and knowing that one prince might as well become acquainted with an ally, he let his tail flick behind him in thought, letting his mossy green eyes travel towards Nari briefly before landing back on her son.

After a few more pondering thoughts, the dark brute answered, "Titan, you will go to the Thickets, my sister's pack is there, and she is one of the most skilled healers in the lands. While you are there, inform her of her daughter's condition and that she is welcome to come and see her when she pleases. Get some rest and leave as soon as you can." With a brief nod to the boy, Ash turned his gaze back on Danica, her coloring so very different from the familiar Hervok coloring, which meant she definitely got her physical attributes mostly from her father...the one that deserted her. The thought made him internally cringe and remember that another male had once again left his family for himself.

Titan Thorben
Titan cocked his head from side to side resting his silvery black crown a few seconds between each smooth movement. The inquisitive look on his face paired with that raised brow made him look almost like a tall gangling troublemaker. Though he was far from the one to make trouble nowadays. Titan liked to keep out of the older wolves way for the most part. Though he would speak up and challenge someone whom Titan believed to be wrong about something.

As he watched the alpha male and Kassander go back and forth Titan couldn't help but try to imagine himself in the same position. True the boy could hope to be an alpha one day, but he didn't believe in fighting for that right unless the boy disliked the way the higher wolf was running things. For the most part he would understand why the higher ups did the things they did. So he didn't have much of a problem with them being above him. Even now as he watched the healer and Ash, Titan could understand how they felt from both sides of the situation.

As the order was given out by both Ash and Kassander, the dark Thorben lad shook his ruff then nodded in acceptance. Not even bothering to ask the two distraught males where Nina's pack was exactly, Titan huffed quietly then turned to leave. His tail swayed behind him as he thought about what he would see during the journey. Adventures like this didn't happen every day, and he planned to make the most out of the mission.

After nosing Danica's cheek in a quick goodbye Titan dashed out of the den. Mom once said that the woodlands were far north of cedarwood forest and the marsh. So as long as I keep heading in that general direction I think I'll be close enough to Nina's pack to find them. Titan recalled the meeting with @Ashanti where she had said that he might one day be able to visit her pack. For a moment as he traveled the blackish wolf wondered what kind of pack lived so far north to have once been friends with his father.

Soon it looked like he would find out.
