RE: Magnolia Glen, a thick fog has covered your territory.
Welcome to all of MG: @Phineas, @Borlla, @Celandine, @Takis, @Zia, @Deneb, @Albireo, @Ace, @Aponi, @Hypatia!
For the first time in her short life, the girl was bored and restless. She'd been sleeping most of the day and conserving her energy in case her siblings decided to go off on a wayward adventure that required rescuing and returning them back home safely but in the recent days the Glen had been quiet. Almost too quiet--like an eerie silence--that was beginning to make her uncomfortable, the darkest child couldn't help wondering where was everyone?. Takis was barely a ghost of a shadow to her, and Celandine too had begun to slow down and test the boundaries of their parents less and less, which left innocent Evy and she wasn't brave enough to test anything beyond their warm den; she craved her parent's praise and didn't dare anger them.

Today was different though, the silence was intriguing and boring at the same time and as she used her limbs, which were getting stronger by the day, she poked her head from the cave to see where everyone had ventured off to. The moment she did her eyes saw nothing, in fact it was harder to see the longer she strained them and she pulled her head back into the den, scared of this new obstacle. Never before had she witnessed anything like a fog, but something inside her told her to push forward to see what it was about, perhaps on the other side were her brother and sister waiting to play with her. With this thought she ran from the mouth of the den, bracing herself for impact but nothing came, in fact the fog bent to her will and engulfed her small frame in an embrace so thick that she could not see in front of her.

She panicked, her heart rate picked up and breathing grew deeper as she contemplated what she'd just done--now she'd never get back to her parents! "Help!" she cried, whining in between breaths, "M loss!" and she curled into a small ball in a attempt to disappear from this strange veil that engulfed her and shielded her from her family.

This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us
She was a terrible daughter. She had scarcely talked to anyone. Sure, she was around, but not really there. Day to day she felt like she was just breathing, going on cruise control. Now and again if she was lucky to catch something she might drop it off near the den. She did not bother to look in nor speak to her dear mother. Her father? Well, her tongue would not quite work to talk to him either. She had put some of the past behind her, but it wasn't all staying there.

What made her feel the most guilt was because she hadn't even tried to meet her new siblings. Hypatia had been in the background on the day of their birth, and had remained there since. So very afraid. Wasn't it better if she didn't know them? Didn't let them into her heart to steal its red pieces? She wasn't sure she could lose a part of her again. She was still....broken. And Hyp was convinced she was beyond repair.

The tawny tinted wolf clung to the base of the tree, feinting sleep behind dark lined eyelids. The morning was a little chilly, and she didn't feel like moving any way. She had not planned to do anything different than she had. It was a tiny voice crying for help that changed that.

Swiftly, orange eyes opened to the white haze. First she was puzzled, and than could faintly make out the dirt beneath her toes. Fog, was that the worry or something worse? When she had been little a nasty badger had come around, and the idea had her horrified. Jumping up, cautiously she worked her way through the trees and brush to that frail cry. "It's okay, I'm coming!" She yelled, earnestly trying to reach her little sister without injuring herself on the way.

OMG Evy is too cute.

Takis snoozed in a corner of the den – so very pressed in to the back of the wall that it seemed no one even noticed he was there. His ears twitched at the sound of foot falls – but the familiar whoosh of air and the scent that accompanied it revealed to him that mom and dad weren’t home – no, this was the sound of something else.

Blinking his eyes open, Takis took in the darkness of the den with blurry eyes. By now he had shed the puppy blue of his newborn hues and taken on a fiery orange much like his father – a perfect little miniature Phineas. Pushing himself up, he scanned the area bout him – Evy and Celandine were seemingly missing, and with a chuff at the thought of missing out on adventure, the clumsy pup began to tumble his way to the entrance too. Borlla and Phineas were usually quick to corral him in a safe zone, but it was always worth a try each time.

No sooner did he peep outside did he stare in awe – the thick fog cloaked the Glen like a mysterious apparition. Taking one hesitant step out, he could hear Evy then, crying for help. She sounded close, but he could not see her, and confusion welled up in his chest at the thought of his sister being lost out there.. in that. Vyyyyyy! He squawked, his ears cupping forward as he heard the familiar voice of big sister Hypatia. Vyyy where go?!

Celandine Argyris

Six tail lengths from the den, a few more steps and she might have outrun it, but her curious nature forced pale paws to still. There was now a veil of white where great magnolias should have stood. Frowning, the princess craned her neck, searching for the landscape she knew had been there only an hour ago. That is when she realized that the mist was crawling, slowly overtaking the soil, and heading straight for her. She could have ran, gliding over the land that was hers, straight into the safety of home. Whether it was fear, or boldness that kept her rooted to the ground, Celanine never knew. Whatever it was though, it caused her to miss her chance, and just like that the only home she'd ever known was gone into the mist.

There was no time to despair however, because the great beast was still stalking her. It pulled itself closer still, grasping with willowy fingers and waiting to take her. Motionless, the youngest Argyris pinched her eyes tight. Only a few more seconds and it would eat her too. Yet minutes after she expected to be swallowed, there was still nothing. Then a voice called out, bright and clear was the voice of her sister. Hadn't the fog taken her when it nabbed the den? Chancing a peek, she cracked one bright amber eye, then a second. The world was lost in white, but she was still alive.

"Vy?" Her voice carried, but the mist was disorienting. Had the den been in front of her, or off to the side? Then came another voice, one she knew vaguely to be her eldest sister. The broken one, who wasn't really a sister, and didn't really have siblings as far as Celandine knew. Then Takis, his comforting speech played on her ears, but she had trouble distinguishing where it came from without her eyes "Tak?" Letting the voices settle, she called again. "Where you?"

Her ball grew tighter with fear and she began to shiver at the thought of never seeing her family again. She couldn't fathom never seeing mama or papa, they were her favorite wolves in the entire pack and her siblings, they were her constant company that she couldn't imagine losing. Her heart raced like that of a speeding car at these thoughts and the shivers grew more frequent until it seemed that she had grown cold from the chill of the fog. No sooner did she feel that she was never to see anyone again did she hear a voice filter through her small round ears and her head immediately perked upward.

She could not see a foot in front of her face and yet she knew that someone was near, struggling to smell her company she opted to use her voice instead to give her savior a little help. "I'm here!" she spoke, her voice was small and timid. As she spoke her legs gathered beneath her small body and she stood tall in the midst of the fog attempting once more to see where her company lay.

Her cry for help attracted her favorite siblings and she felt her heart drum loudly in her chest. They had come to rescue her, what a coincidence! Her ears instinctively perked forward as she searched by sound alone for approaching feet, when she heard her brother she felt her confidence grow, "Taky, I'm here" she called, his name was still difficult on her tongue therefore she shortened it to her liking. It was even more of a surprise when Celandine called through the fog and she hesitated on answering, wondering if she had truly come to help or cause more trouble. There was no doubt in her mind that her sister would use this opportunity in her favor, "Cella?" she called finally and settled to her haunches in wait for any one of them to find her.

This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us

It was unfavorable barely seeing in front of her own nose. That current annoying reality, only made her more determined to find little Evy. How alone, how lost she must feel in this haze. The emotion may consume her now, the tawny wolf with silvery mask wanted to right that wrong...and so many others.Hyp was puzzled where Takis and Celadine were it wasn't long till their voices reached her ears as well. They were all looking for their dark sister. If it were not for the situation Hypatia may have smiled how closely they watched one over one another. Instead, she tried to let her memories, and her senses guide her.

"I'm here!" The fearful voice was closer now, and Hyp paused trying to focus, and mostly tell herself the fog would dissipate and so would the twist in her gut."I'm almost here Evy." Calmly she began, wondering how she kept her voice from shaking. It was only damn fog, but it was wracking her head like a twisted dream that wouldn't let her wake. Instead of reaching Evy, she about bumped into the ghostly figure of Celandine, the one who reminded her of mother. "Oh, Celandine," she muttered in surprise having to swiftly lean back, scarcely missing her little sister's nose. "I think Evy and Takis are this way," she gestured, rather certain they were about to the den. She had made the trip many times to and from both as a child and yearling.

"Takis, Evy we will find you!"

That "we" she hoped would entice Celadine to accompany her. She was hoping they wouldn't wander further away trying to reach the other. Sure enough, padding at snail speed the scent of the dark child reached her nostrils, and her orange eyes began scanning to see something different in the white. "Evy?" She tried again, hoping her voice would solidify her intuition.

Takis Argyris

Takis, unlike his adventurous sisters, held his paws firmly at the den opening. His bright eyes narrowed as he attempted to take in anything – but all he was met with was a swirl of pale white, a billowing smoke that seemed to swallow everything within its depths. Usually one to adventure out first – there was the fear that laced Evy’s voice and Celandine’s uncertainty that caused him to remain where he was. If Hypatia was looking for her, it wouldn’t do anyone any good if he got lost to. Somehow, this logic was pervasive to the boy, whose first desire was nothing more than to sweep out in the fog and find all three of his sisters and bring them home where they belonged. After all, was that not what his parents would do?

Vy, Cella, I here! He piped out once more, his chest puffing up as his pumpkin eyes scoured the shimmering mists. He could hear Hypatia talking – she had found Celandine and Takis released a small sigh – someday, he would realize he was feeling relief and not just his nausea fading slightly.

Evy, however, was still lost, and with a small whimper, Takis settled his rear upon the ground with a clumsy ‘plop,’ his ears twitching as they awaited anymore word. Hyppo, he announced, huffing quietly. Hyppo, y’find her yet?! Still, he could see nothing, and the wait to such a youthful mind seemed more than mere minutes.. it seemed like hours. With raptured attention, Takis waited for any word or sign of his siblings.

Celandine Argyris

With the Earth gone, and only eerie voices to coax her on, the little princess began moving. Each step brought more fear than the last, as she wondered what direction she was heading. Was she moving farther away? Would she ever see them again? Shadows were dancing all around her, and it seemed the harder she tried to make them out, the scarier they became. It was no use. Paralyzed with fear the youngest Argyris gave up, curling up on the ground and cementing her eyes shut. All she could do now was wait for either the shadows, or a rescuer to find her.

To her left, she picked up a scuffling noise, like that of paws against soil and it was headed straight for her. Cracking an amber eye, she could just make out a dark figure dancing towards her, but the mist was still thick. Her eyes were playing tricks on her again. They had to be. Summoning up all the courage she had left, the pale girl Chanced both eyes to scan the fog. Squinting in hopes to identify the creature, Celandine watched the edges solidify. It wasn't like the other shadows she'd seen; Shapeless things blowing this way and that. There was definitely something there.

The shape grew more intense with each passing second. Until finally Hyp broke through the haze, nearly colliding with Celandine. Forgetting to be angry about the mishap, the youngest sibling nuzzled into Hypatia's leg. Thankfully, the eldest of the Argyris children had a plan, to which Celandine nodded. "Ok." After the trauma of being alone, the pale girl had no intentions of being left behind. Sticking as close to Hyp as possible, she called out too. "Vy?"

Sorry guys....@Celandine, @Hypatia, @Takis

Her head turned this way and that in search of the body that matched these voices and yet the fog prevented her from seeing anything, not even the few inches in front of her face. She hesitated at her spot, uncertain if moving would cause her injury or risk her becoming more lost then she already was; feeling overwhelmed she whined, licking her lips as she readjusted her the weight on her paws. It frustrated her that she could not get over her fear of becoming lost, it was a general emotion that overpowered her judgements and the way she perceived every encounter, only when she grew older would she realize that the world was not always full of danger and mishaps.

The voices that surrounded her got her excited to the point where she stood, her dark tail wagging before she took a single step forward only to withdraw her paw just as quickly; she was not ready to move, not yet, not when she did not know what laid beyond this white veil. "I'm scared," she admitted, her ears pressed against her skull, waiting and hoping that eventually her older sister would show face, then it would make everything better and this whole situation would become the past. Minutes passed and Hypathia did not show, in fact it seemed that the fog concealed her so well that her sister could not get her own self out let alone her siblings, and because of this Evy began to panic; she needed to get out. Her paws moved forward slowly as she attempted this brave act of leaving behind the fog to find the voices of her siblings, each step she made frightened her as he body vibrated with fright, before long though she felt warmth and her body paused near the foreleg of her eldest sister. "Tia!" she bellowed with a wag of her runty tail, it was a feat to have faced her fear but to have found her sibling was made her the most excited, "Where Cella and Taky?" she wondered as she seemed to move with the fluidness of her sister, not wanting to get lost a second time in this fog.

@Takis @Celandine @Evy I'm in love with these guys. <3

This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us

There was a light hearted chuckle as Takis called her by a nickname she was secretly fond of. If it were a small reminder to her that it would be best to keep her head on straight for their sakes, and remember why she wasn't sinking into her own oblivion. Much like this smothering fog.

White cloaked sister pressed to her, Hyp caressed the small princess' silver crown in turn. Then, lifted her head to answer Takis. "Cella is with me!" She hollered back, wanting more than ever to assure her little brother about something for a change.

With Celandine sticking close, and helping in the search, the eldest Argyris grew confident. It was only a matter of time till they found the others. It was a small voice that helped guide her more precisely. "It's okay to be scared Evy. You know, you're being quite brave at the same time."

It was with baby steps she cautiously sought the dark child. Then there was suddenly a small shadow appearing at her feet. "Ev! A ha, I told you I would find you." She planted a lick to her forehead. "Cella is right here, she just happens to blend in, huh Cel. We need to get to Tak," she murmured. Which would be a bit more difficult since he too was white. Orange eyes narrowed, and her nostrils flicked. "Tak, are we close?" She did not dare go too fast to start her search over again, and she was sure he was most anxious of all.
