Aurora Thanne
Hello mama! *hugs*

She heard the howl for their presence, and her head cocked in response to the way Ash's body language had changed the instant the howl went up. Though she was too young to understand pack business, she could decipher that something was not right. Who was looking for her, and what did they want? When he had asked her to stay put she listened without complaint and trusted that he would return to her soon; that had been nearly half an hour ago and the young Thanne had grown restless while in wait. She worried that he'd abandoned her as her mother and father had done not too long ago, and though Ash was a warm man who had graciously taken her under his wing, she couldn't help wondering if one day the sweet words and kind gestures he made would one day be taken from her. She'd lost so much already, she had begun to expect that wolves who so easily entered her life would disappear as her attachment to them grew therefore she abandoned her spot to go searching for him. At least if she went looking for him, he couldn't get lost like her mother and father had so many weeks back.

As she traveled, with her nose to the ground and alert eyes searching, she heard the commotion of wolves talking well before she entered the area and paused just long enough to hear their conversation. From the tone of their voices there was anger, so much anger that Rory wondered if following Ash here had been a wise choice but then there came the calm voice of a female, her tone she did not recognize but the plea in her voice she did. There was a mishap that needed immediate attention. A plethora of other voices pitched in, one she recognized was that of Silver a woman who had taken it upon herself to help feed the Thanne child, and another who's accent was so thick that his words went in one ear and out the other. The next who spoke made her tail wag with excitement, it was Ash and she could tell that he was angry, no doubt at one of the wolves in attendance, only when he stopped did she approach closer catching the tail end of the pleading woman's voice and the sweet calm tone of Narime.

"Welcome home" was all she heard as she bolted from her cover into the clearing, her gold eyes searched for that of Ash as she eased into her usual spot beneath his chest. She fit perfectly, being smaller than what she was supposed to be at her age and glanced up at him with a look of concern and confusion, he was angry and the expression was evident on his face, "sss-ad?" she questioned him, her voice seemed to crack with an audience around her but she stood proudly beneath the strength of her new father and turned her attention to her mother, a wolf she no longer recognized, and spoke in a hushed tone "hhu-rt?" she asked after noticing her scars.

Ash Hervok

He was so angry, his glare piercing his subordinates, before it snapped back to the white woman as she began to speak. And directly to him. It was as if she was intentionally trying to draw out his soft side, something that normally no one saw. His lip curled in disdain and made no motion towards her. He listened to her story, allowing it to sink into his brain. He made no way of comfort, he simply continued to stare at her, his mossy green gaze looking towards his partner to see what she had to say, his eyes curiously sweeping over her beautiful gray coat. As he had said, he would allow her to make the final decision and as it came, the Hervok's gaze moved towards the stark white bloodied paw that Athena had thrown towards him. He once again realized how much of a killer she really was, just like him. He looked away, not adding anything to what Nari had to say. Athena would go with Kassander and the two alphas would be on their way to visit little Rory.

But just as that thought whispered in his mind, the small child raced towards him and was immediately bundled in his warm chest. Immediately, the man's leg moved to cover the vision that the child might see of the bloodied paw and was pleased to see that he was the first one that she ran to. Aurora spoke a word, and a ghost of a smile twitched onto the corner's of Ash's lips before it was gone. Clearing his throat, he made eye contact with Nari for a moment, mentioning for her to come with him. Flicking his tail behind him, he avoided any eye contact with Athena as he spoke to the small child, "Come, my little princess. Miss Narimé and I would like to play a game with you. Here's how we play, whoever makes it back to the den right wins....ready....set go...." Hopefully this playfulness would work to get the child away from the scene and provide an exit for both alphas. Of course, both alphas would let the child win so that she could have a certain satisfaction, and they were going to let her get a small head start.

Silver
Gonna pull Silver out of here if y'all don't mind

She wasn't as scared as she should have been from the snaps of her leaders but she knew better then to start acting back, like she just had done to them. Lowering herself to the ground slowly she pointed her muzzle down into the ground underneath her paws. "My apologies, I should have known better. I promise it wont happen again." Letting the meeting go on the female figured she didn't have any business left here. At least not much important business. Especially since it seemed she wasn't helping others very much...

When Ash was trying to dismiss the child Silver saw it as a time for her to dismiss herself also. Trying her best to remain silent she slid out from the back of the meeting. Perhaps it would just be best to do a border round or two then head to the tunnels of caves she called home for the night. She had a feeling that the leaders would want to talk to her later about her actions at this small gathering. Though for now she would but herself away like she was a young pup being put into a sort of "timeout" for their bad behavior and actions.

Hoping that Ash or Narime would catch her quick nodding to them she kept low while taking quick paced strides to disappear into the heart of Whisper Caverns.

Athena Moon
As she waited for anyone to respond to her explanation, her eyes looked from Ash to Narimé, pleading with them to understand. She had not meant for this to happen. She had fought as hard as she could to get back to them, couldn't they see that? All the evidence she gave to them. They had to believe her. Athena had only told them the truth and she had really meant that she didn't want to leave anyone of them. She knew the heartbreak of someone leaving. Athena witnessed it first hand so many times before and would never want to inflict that same pain to anyone else if she could help it. She loved Ash, respected Narimé, and was loyal to the pack. They had to see that. They had to. Narimé finally started to give her verdict and Athena held her breath. As soon as the words 'welcome back' were spoken, she was able to breath again. Nodding at Narime's condition, "Indeed, I will give you them very soon." Another meeting would be needed to alert the rest of the pack of the possible threat to them. However, Athena doubted the rest of Zeus's pack would come after her. They were probably thankful of her for killing him for them.

Narime's attention then turned to Kassander and Silver. She felt bad for causing trouble with them, but these were Narime's subordinates and were her responsibility and could talk to them anyway she pleased. She then turned back to her and told her of Rory's welfare. Dipping her head, "Thank you, I -," but before she could finish, the light the kept her going, appeared. A sigh escaped her lips as she saw how healthy and alert she was. Her tail began to wag excitably and all the sadness and anger washed away from her face. "Oh my baby! Mama's home now." Kassander then spoke, calling for her to come with him. Still gazing at her daughter, "That won't be necessary right now. I need to spend time with my daughter." She was to approach her daughter when a single word escaped the little girl's lips. With that, her eyes looked up to who she was talking to. Finally noticing that Ash's gaze seemed to avoid hers, she realized that he couldn't even look at her. Her eyes saddened as she realized what this meant. She was nothing to him now. She was shut out completely.

Tears pooled in her good eye, as her gaze pleaded for his mossy green eyes to meet hers. A soft whine rumbled trough her chest before the gentle voice broke her attention on Ash. Rory was talking to her now, but something was wrong. Did Rory not know who she was? Was she gone that long that her own daughter didn't remember the one who gave her life? "It's mama, Rory. It's me, your mama!" The tears threatened to fall, but it was when Ash spoke, did they begin to fall. Not only did he shut her out, but he was trying to take Aurora from her or keep her from her. Anger seeped into her, but the only sign of it was in her eye. "Don't Ash. Don't do this to me. You know what I've been through. Don't do this now." Her voice was gentle, pleading for him to understand. To let her back in again.

Narimé Lagina
Narime looked around to view the wolves who had congregated around Athena, Ash, and herself. Kassander quickly dipped his head and apologized before asking Athena to come with him to the healers den so she could get treated. The gray wolf's eyes flicked to Athena as she refused Kassander's request and stayed put. Ash tried to get Rory to leave with him and Nari realized that he was trying to keep the severed wolf paw out of view of the pup. Nari stepped forward and settled herself in a sitting position right on top of Ash's paw, lower leg, and the bloody wolf paw. She would keep it hidden until the pup finally moved away. However her gaze turned to Athena as she tried interacting with the pup. She seemed much more interested in greeting Rory than getting herself healed up, and Nari couldn't blame her. She would want to see her children too after such a traumatic experience. Nari turned her head away from Athena and tried not being in the way so that Athena could have a moment with her daughter.

Instead her attention turned to the blackish scout named Silver as the woman apologized then excused herself form the situation. Nari felt a bit cold as she watched the dark wolf, her friend, walk away from them. Those blue orbs turned from Silver's vanishing trail to where Kassander had disappeared through the grasses. The coldness gripped herself further as Nari's features turned slowly to regret. Why did I snap at them like that? That wasn't me. Not usually... She thought quietly wishing that the stress of her job would stop putting stress on her relationships with family and friends. Then again, that stress came with the job of leading. She wouldn't be able to run from that truth.

"So are you up for a race back home?"

She asked little Aurora before smiling gently to the pup. If the child began to race them home as Ash hoped she would, Nari would gladly follow, and allow the little girl to win. However at the moment she would stay until @Rory decided on what she wanted to do.

Aurora Thanne
Sorry @Athena, it's no harsh feelings!

Her eyes transfixed on the large and imposing figure of her mother, the scars that she bore scared her as she came closer as if to seek an embrace and it took everything in the young Thanne's body not to whimper in fright. Though she stood with Ash, her new guardian, she felt frightened by the very woman who had birthed her, and felt much too afraid to trust her now that someone had so easily taken her place. And where was her father? His name she barely knew along with his scent which had long gone stale before Athena' s and now she came to force herself back into her life--the creme girl did not know how to feel. "No..." she started, shaking her head violently to dismiss the figure that stood to take her away from Ash, her new father. "No mama," her eyes grew narrow, a small hiss formed in the back of her throat as she shrunk from Athena, desperate then for an escape.

It wasn't that she hated her mother, on the contrary, but she could no longer trust her, not when she had gone sick those many days and sought her out with no trace to follow, here she felt safe, in the arm of Miss Narime and Ash, and here she would remain. "I wan' go..." she pleaded, her eyes lifted to search those of Ash's as he suggested they play a new game. She was always in the mood for some fun, especially if it meant leaving so that her mother could no longer harm her. Narime moved and Rory hesitated to follow, scared that Athena would advance to intercept her movement and when she felt that the coast was clear she scurried beneath the warmth of Narime's legs so that they could race to safety. Before she ran she glanced one more time to Athena and shook her head, her eyes sad as she whispered a final time, "No mama, no..." and ran as fast as her little legs would go.

Ash Hervok

The man shot a quick nod of thanks towards Narimé for hiding the bloodied paw from the sight of the innocent child. And while he had been successful at hiding the gory sight from Aurora's eyes, he had not been able to hide the view of Athena. Ash knew that the only reason he knew Athena is because he had known her for so long. Knew what her body looked and felt like and knew what her blood smelt like. Rory was still in the early stages of development when she was with her mother. Meaning, that she would only classify the woman by her scent and that alone, which is why the mother was probably most unrecognized right now. His heart went out to the white woman, but he remained stern and cold, his heart twisting harshly when Athena's pained words reached his ears and poured into his soul. Once again, he was stuck between two wolves that he loved deeply, and once again he was choosing a child. It was for the best though, and Ash knew that he had finally lost all hope with rekindling their relationship completely. There would never be a: like it was before. That song was over.

His new adopted child grabbed his attention immediately, and Ash took no time in arguing with her. As soon as her little legs began to move, Ash looked towards Kassander, making sure he understood what he would have to do with Athena, before he too bounded off with the child. Now was a time to comfort her and be the father that had also left her. He knew that she knew that he was not the father that had sired her, and it meant the world to him to know that she had not shunned him as easily as Aphrodite and Elliot had. He was her Guardian and Protector, and he wouldn't change his position on that for anything.

Narimé Lagina
Narime was stuck somewhat between the three wolves as Athena pleaded with Ash and Rory. Her own heart began to break as Nari remembered how close Yuka had been to her until she got lost over the mountains during her mission. She had come back much later than she should have and he had practically shunned her (over-dramatizing) when she tried to get close to him again. She had blamed both herself, Minka, and Shade for her pups dislike of her upon returning. Now the gray woman was used to her gray sons introverted behavior even though it pained her to see him dwelling in such a lonely dark place. However she could see Athena's heart breaking at Rory's refusal of her attentions. A frown creased her face as she watched. Nari wouldn't force the child to be with her real mother, but she didn't want Athena hating them for Rory's choice. Even if Ash seemed outwardly unaffected by Athena's plea making him look cold and cruel.

"I'm sorry Athena... I really am, but maybe in a week or two she'll recognize you?"

The gray wolf spoke gently not wanting to rile up the angry white mother any further. She could hope that this was the truth, but Nari wasn't entirely sure. Her eyes trailed after the disappearing forms of Ash and Rory as they raced towards the den. Her own body finally lifted off of the severed wolf paw before Nari sniffed at it to take her attention off of the grieving woman. She thoroughly sniffed the dull wolf pack smell that was left between Athena's smelly drool and her fathers blood. Nari would commit Athena's old pack scent in her memory to make sure she would spot it if the Moon woman's old pack had supporters who might show up at her border. It was a slim chance that the pack's smell would be the same as the rogues but she would rather be safe than sorry.

Turning herself towards the den, Narime gave a last gentle wave of her tail in farewell as she began to follow Ash and Rory's path back to the den. She hoped that Athena would cool off soon, but Nari knew that the mothers heart was badly torn right now. She would be angry too if that had happened to her.

Athena Moon

Her pleadings fell on deaf ears as both Ash and Narime said nothing to her. Athena didn’t expect Narime to, since she felt like Narime showed the most compassion here, and she wasn’t the one she was pleading with. But, Ash said nothing to her, he didn’t even look her in the eye. She was crushed by his cold shoulder. However, when Rory spoke, Athena’s world was turned upside and thrown every which way. ”No, mama” she said. Those words echoed in head. No, mama, no. Mama, no. Her world fell apart in that instant. Everyone she lived for in that moment rejected her. But, the most painful was her daughter’s rejection. She could hear her heart shatter into unamendable pieces.

Narime’s soft words seemed to be muffled and quiet in her ears as she watched her child run away with Ash. Her world was zoned around her daughter leaving and it seemed like everything was in slow motion. Narime too left, running after the two and it was only her and Kassander left. She was speechless, her ears were ringing and her tears were beginning to pour out of her eye. Her body started to tremble as she stood there. Her head began to shake in disbelief and shock. ”No, no no no no… This isn’t happening. No, please no.” She stumbled hysterically as her legs began to pace back and forth before she took off suddenly, leaving Kassander to himself. She needed to be alone and away from everything that reminded her of her daughter’s and Ash’s rejection. No, mama, no
