A searing pain engulfed his entire head. Groaning the young male squeezes his eyes before slowly opening them. Blinking several times Tyne was finally able to clear his vision. Sitting up wasn’t an easy feat; it felt as if he hadn’t ever moved his limbs before. Stiff and sore he evaluated his unfamiliar surroundings. It was a quiet meadow lightly covered in snow. Tyne hadn’t seen anything like it before. There were no familiar scents in the vicinity of the yearling. Panic had begun to set in as he realized that he had no idea where he was or how he got there. Where am I?!? Where is my pack and parents? Tyne desperately looks around trying to recognize anything.

He jumps to his feet but doesn’t stay there long for they give causing him to crash back into the frozen ground. That’s gonna leave a mark he thinks to himself as he tries again. The agouti male finds his footing and beings to try to get a handle on his new surroundings. He tried to remain as calm as possible but a new wave of emotions began to take over him. He sits down and lets out a small whimper completely unsure of what to do next.

Nauja Mizuno
ey! hope you don't mind me jumping in too. Assuming Nauja would have seen Tyne around since her father was the leader Hunter, if that's alright and that she would have been dumped there with him ;)

"Mmmnngggg," she groaned, flopping over to other side, "Five more minutes." But whoever was up was not content to keep to the sanctity of the morning hours. They were stumbling around and falling over like a seal cub that had magically gained legs. She cracked an eye open. Wow. It was much brighter than it ought to have been, if it really was the early morning. Her head twisted about slowly as, one by one, her senses returned to her. It was afternoon. The breeze held none of the salts of home: it was sterile and piney. The whispery noise that plagued her ears were not the waves against the shore but frighteningly tall grasses like she'd never seen. And her head. The throbbing was almost unbearable. Nauja groaned again, her head falling back down to her paws.

The dark female had forgotten about the other wolf's presence in the several moments of silence, but as he moved again her head popped up again. He looked familiar. Someone she had seen her father with, or something. Squinting, she tried to place his name, but could hear nothing over the drum of her headache. Even if he did know her dad, though, she wasn't sure what business she had with a hunter. Certainly not out here where there wasn't the faintest sign of water. Just snow, snow everywhere. In Bella Coola they would never have gotten this many inches. This was obscene!

Her throat was so dry that it took a lot of coaxing to get any words to come out. When they did, they were very hoarse and quiet. "Did...did my dad ask you to take me here?"

OOC Comments: @Nauja Thats perfect! That way they arent all alone!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A voice drew him back from his thoughts. Looking around he sees a dark female a few paces behind him lying in the snow covered grass. He tries to place her but all of his thoughts and memories are still fuzzy. He moves closer to her and realizes that she is from his pack because her scent is that of salty sea air. "Did...did my dad ask you to take me here?" She managed. “Huh” Tyne responded confused Her dad? Then the woman’s identity hits him. She is the daughter of Nereus Mizuno, the lead hunter of their pack. He cant remember her name for life of him.

“Uh—no, no he didn’t” the young male stammered. “I have no idea where we are. I was hoping you knew” he sits down by the girl and closes his eyes. The headache was still there even though it had begun to fade. All of his other senses became heightened as he as his eyes closed. He listens to all the sounds around him. The female rustles next to him, there are birds off in the distance, and a eerie silence. The scents around him are earthy, more so than he is use to. Mixture of pine and cedar filled his nose and panic begins to set in again. Tyne opens his eyes to look at his pack mate in hopes that she knew where they were.

Nauja Mizuno
Her companion made a bewildered noise. She concluded that no, her father did not have anything to do with this. It was very possible that he had no idea who she was, either. In all fairness, Nauja had only half an idea of who this kid was. He was a hunter, that much was likely from close association with her father in her memory. Her dad didn't really mingle — he just wasn't that kinda guy. This kid was probably still learning, though. He looked young — around the age of Niq'x or something like that— and for a male that had grown into an adult height much taller than her own he wasn't as bulky as she was. Her neck twisted backwards to her large rump, and she considered her paunch. I'm not fat. Fish was just more filling than the meals the hunters dragged back in.

When her companion — there was no way she'd ask his name, too embarrassing— added that he didn't know where they were, she awkwardly considered her options. Nauja did not like not being in the know. It made her anxious. Plus, she was the adult in this situation, and to some extent responsible now for this kid. Craving the importance she gained from being a know-it-all, Nauja opened her mouth. "Yeah! 'Course I do. We're in... the back country, you know? This is what happens when you head east. The ocean goes away." She wasn't really wrong. "Simple as that."

Tyne Kersey
The female before him was about a year or so older than he. Tyne was hoping that she would have some answers. And to his relief she stated that she knew where they were. Back country she stated, east of their home. But the hesitation in her voice led the yearling to suspect that she didn’t really know where they were, but he wasn’t going to challenge her, since she was right to a degree. “Yea, you’re right” he responded looking at the scene before him. “You wouldn’t happen to know how far east we are, do you?” His head was feeling much better and his limbs weren’t as stiff. He gets up and stretches, letting out a yawn. He still couldn’t place the girl, “You’re Nereus’ daughter right?” he decided to ask. May as well know her name since it looked like they might be spending a considerable amount of time together.

Tyne looks to his right, rabbit tracks! He stomach rumbled as he remembered what he had been doing before waking up here. He looks in the direction of the tracks hoping to see the rabbit. There wasn’t one in sight however the tracks seemed fairly fresh. Maybe some food would help them relax a bit.

Orabelle "Niq'x" Mizuno
throwing Niq in here as well <33

It had been a few weeks since the sea princess had awoken in this strange land—and she hated every second of it. She missed the comforting sea breeze coming off the water; the smell of salty waves crashing down against the sand… Everything here was so green; so lush. It was strange and unappealing to the water-dweller. Even living in Bella Coola, she never understood why the hunters preferred the forests and the meadows off-shore… Niq’x preferred the water flowing through her fur and bubbling between her toes… the feeling of coarse sand in her fur…

This place sucked.

For whatever reason, her brother and Kelp decided to make their (temporary) den in this stupid meadow. Apparently for protection and “cover”—whatever. It just meant Niq’x was constantly heading south to the lagoon that she had woken up beside. It wasn't the same as the ocean water he was accustom to but it would suffice. Blitz and Kelp had mused the idea of joining one of the local packs as they searched for the rest of their family. Surely the three of them being planted in Relic Lore wasn’t merely a coincidence—there was some sort of reason behind it, Orabelle just couldn’t figure it out. However, the sea princess wanted to avoid these land-wolves. It would be much easier to search for their family without the attachment of a pack—especially when they already had a pack. They just needed to find them.

As she prowled through the snow-covered den she was hit by a tidal wave of familiarity. Her movements stopped immediately as her nose reached to the sky, her mix-matched eyes widening in realization. It-it couldn’t be… no…

Breaking out into a run Niq’x sprinted toward the salty smell, her lips stretched into a wide grin. Familiar—yet unfamiliar—figures appeared before her, groggy and disoriented as banter was exchanged between them. The male… a hunter… he had been a juvenile alongside her—why couldn’t she remember his name?! There was no mistaking the female; her cousin, Nauja. Her stomach clenched at the realization but she suppressed it—there was no time for pettiness. More of the sea wolves had arrived.

Stopping abruptly before them she greeted them with her tail wagging a mile a minute, her bi-coloured eyes darting from wolf to wolf. Realization quickly settled in as she studied the younger wolf— “Tyne!” Reluctantly, her gaze fell onto her cousin: “Nauja.” She paused briefly, her head cocked to one side. “I’m assuming you two just woke up here?”

Nauja Mizuno
His enthusiastic agreement coaxed the first smile in this strange land from her lips. Nauja liked being right — perhaps more than anything, more than fish. But damn, this kid made it hard, asking all the hard questions. It was possible that he knew that she was just talking out of her ass and now felt obligated to test her. But it was wrong to make those kind of assumptions about a wolf she barely knew. He was just lost. They were both lost. Of course he wanted answers. It made her feel even worse that he seemed to have worked out her identity but she had only vague clues about his. Her ears flapped back as she was forced to admit aloud, for probably the first time in her life, that she didn't have a clue. Oxygen flooded her lungs. "I uhh..." Was it in her to say the words? If not, could she manage some sort of approximation? "Sorry... I don't... "

Curiously, she noted that the kid's gaze suddenly veered off on some invisible trail. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was not after ghosts or any such thing, Nauja tested the air. Being a fisher she had automatically ignored the scent of rabbit. It wasn't her job to catch the little land critters. If she was speaking frankly, she thought it below her. Did he intend to hunt now though? They had more important things to do.

Out of nowhere the wind shifted and, for a moment, she could hardly believe her nose. Niq'x? Her mouth fell open as a familiar figure appeared from the snow and loped towards them. "Niq'x!" she yipped excitedly. The foreign name was probably the kid's. Nauja had to wonder what caused her brindled cousin to hesitate in addressing her. The subtleties of their relationship generally escaped the dark lady. What did not escape the sea-wolf was grasp her cousin seemed to have on the situation. It was much greater than her own. Also Niq'x lack of deference to her own superior. But these lands were strange and times were a'changing. It could be forgiven "Yep," she cut in, wasting no time, "How long have you been here? Have you seen anyone else?"

Tyne Kersey
The dark female didn’t have any idea how far they were from the coast. This news saddened the boy, How are we ever going to find our way back? He thought trying his best to not let his emotions show on his face. His worry was dissolved for the time being when a grey brown figure came bounding towards them. The figure was of medium build, female, and she smelled like the sea. As soon as she spoke he knew exactly who it was, Niq’x!

She stopped in front of him and the female who he woke up next to. All panic faded into the background as excitement over came the yearling. Not only did his tail begin to moved wildly but his whole rear end began to shake with happiness. Niq’x greeted them both, Nauja, that’s right I remember now. Before he could return her greeting Nauja was already asking questions, "How long have you been here? Have you seen anyone else?" Tyne is finally able to control his excitement and listens intently to his pack mates answer in hopes that she knows what may have happened to his parents and the rest of the pack. The young male was hopeful that they were safe and alright.

Orabelle "Niq'x" Mizuno

It was nice to see familiar faces that weren’t the brooding faces on her brother and Kelp. They seemed focused on finding a pack to ‘temporarily’ hunker down in, whereas Niq’x was desperate to find her way home. Joining a pack meant commitment, and the sea princess wanted nothing to do with these land wolves; these smelly, earthy wolves, who knew nothing of the great ocean and it's roaring waves.

The young hunter wriggled in excitement at her arrival, to which she flashed him a wide grin. Her obsidian cousin was quick to ask questions, which was expected. A frown cut across Niq’x’s face, her shoulders rolling with as a deep sigh fell off her tongue. “Too long already,” she hissed in response, expressing her obvious distaste to their new surroundings. “A few weeks. Blitz and Kelp are here as well, they arrived a few months ago. They made a den nearby and now they’re looking to join some pack run by land-dwellers.” She snorted at the comment, her lips curled as though she had just smelt something foul. “I just want to get out of here, this place fuckin’ blows.” Orabelle’s mix-matched eyes rolled in annoyance as she spoke. Once the words spilled into the air between them, her face grew serious as she studied her packmates, her wagging tail now still. “You guys don’t remember anything, do you?” Niq’x doubted that they would but it was worth a shot.

As much as the sea princess detested where they had been relocated to, it was comforting knowing that she had members of her former pack to familiarize herself with. It would make adjusting to so much land a lot easier—and finding their home.
