Today something new and shocking had happened. When she had awoken there was something falling from the sky. The big round orb that gave her that blinding feeling any time looked at it was hidden away. In its place were gray balls of fluff that seemed to hang low. She was skeptical of the new setting at first and opted to sit in the den and watch from there. Of course, that could only remain exciting for so long. Eventually, she wanted to know more.
Hesitantly she toddled out into the new looking world. Whatever was falling from above was hitting her but it didn't hurt. It was a strange situation but she felt that she wasn't in danger. If her mother hadn't yanked her back in (at least not yet) then it couldn't be a completely bad thing. She looked up towards the gray sky and as she did so one of the drops fell down between her eyes. Stunned, she stumbled backward before landing on her rump. The young Riverflow went cross-eyed as she tried to see what it had just done. But nothing was there anymore. The droplet that had once been was suddenly gone.
Hawthorne noticed how her fur felt a bit different now. Perhaps heavier? Just like she would do to rip herself of debris she shook out her coat. Suddenly the drops returned! She had made them this time. An excited yip erupted from her as she did a small prance. "Oooo!" The girl cooed out softly. She could make droplets too!
