Revon Argyris Archer

Revon was trying to pay attention—she really was. She did not want the other Aurora members, or her parents, to think she did not care about the pack or its future. She did, she really did, but it was just a bunch of adult mumbo-jumbo that she didn’t really understand. Something about travelling and keeping her parents in the know if they were going to be gone longer than two days. It made sense. Revon wouldn’t be able to slip away for that long—not without her parents hot on her heels. She would have to wait until she was older. When she finally grew into her lanky legs and chubby paws.

Her nose twitched as her fiery gaze remained fixated on her scarlet mother. She spoke of the goats her father had mentioned, causing the young Archer’s head to fall to the side. The idea of a challenge caused her paws to twitch excitedly. The girl had managed to get her paws on some smaller game, but the idea of chasing something larger over the mountain slopes… she couldn’t wait! However, she kept her excitement at bay as she continued to listen to her mother patiently, her fiery gaze only wavering when her father chimed in, mentioning the goats once more. She liked hearing her father’s fractured voice; it was oddly comforting.

Her mother mentioned roles, causing her gaze to shift once more. The dark-eyed agouti had mentioned roles to the scarlet Archer before. Something about pursuing a scouting role when she was older. It wasn’t a bad idea, but she wasn’t thinking about that yet. She just wanted to keep exploring and learning how to hunt. She still had half a year to decide.

Kyna Argyris Archer

“Very good. I’m glad it’s settled.”

The trails, the location, and someone to help teach Revon – her parents did their best, after all, but two wolves only knew so much. Her eyes fell to Abaddon first. “I am glad to hear it. I will speak with you in the next few days.” Because, obviously, the dark female would be hers; there could be no other way. If Greer wanted his own advisor (and she suspected the shadow didn’t), then he could recruit whomever he liked for the position). Her eyes then fell to Pyriel. “Excellent. If you could make the time to take Revon out prior to the hunt to make sure she has some basics, that would be a good start.”

Of course, it was her daughter she looked to next. Her lips curled up at one side. “You will listen to Pyriel, and stick near either him or myself whenever we go out hunting.” Her last words were for her mate, expression still warm, if not a bit mischievous. Her tail thumped. “We will pick a trail. And then we will call for the pack. Keep your ears open, filling our caches will start very soon.”

Quick and painless, the meeting was over.

@Pyriel @Greer @Abaddon -- Thanks everyone!  Post your exits and we can get our claim in!

Greer Archer-Lyall

Pyriel had already proved himself as a hunter during their expedition; he did not worry about him taking the scarlet Archer out. Perhaps she would listen better to a wolf that wasn’t family, for she was less likely to get away with being a brat if it was someone other than her parents telling her what to do.

The shadow remained silent as his mate spoke to the subordinates, addressing them both before turning to their daughter. Revon had no choice but to listen to Pyriel, otherwise she would be excluded from the pack hunt as she would not be ready to participate. He would have to seek out the dark-eyed agouti and give him some advice on how to appeal to the troublemaker, for she was just as independent as both of her parents. Once Kyna turned to him Greer nodded sharply, his mercury gaze sweeping over the small group. Even with five of them he did not worry about being able to take down a goat—there had been a few slower ones moving among the herd, which meant there would be no issue for the small pack. They just had to move fast, before the herd moved too far north and strayed into Cove territory.

He nudged his mate’s shoulder, a small smile tugging at his lips as he silently invited her to take a walk with him. A glance was cast toward their daughter as he extended the invite to her, his tail wagging softly behind him.

Revon Argyris Archer

Her ears twitched as her mother spoke to Pyriel, the dark-eyed subordinate that she had encountered in the underground sea. She struggled to keep her expression calm, her brows pinching together as she listened. Revon was not sure how she felt about the newcomer, for she had grown bored of him quickly after he tried to take her on an almost scouting trip. Maybe hunting would be different. Maybe she would actually be inclined to listen to him and follow his lead if there was a chance at reward. Once her mother turned to her the scarlet Archer nodded sharply, her expression growing serious. To appease her mother (and father) she would listen, for she did not want Pyriel running back to them and telling them how awful she was. “Yes Ma,” she added to confirm that she was listening, her tail wagging gently behind her.

As the meeting wrapped up the scarlet Archer noticed her father’s silent invitation and sauntered toward him. She would sneak off later, once her parents retreated to their den, for some late night escapades…

Revon exit.

Abaddon
Abaddon offered a genuinely warm smile to her female alpha. Her head giving a small dip to show her agreement, understanding, and respect. The dark woman would be lying if she said she wasn't intrigued by the conversation to be had in a few days. Business had been one of Abba's fortes and she assumed a chat about advising would be more business than pleasure.

It seemed that things were coming to a close though as the small gathering broke off. She would follow their cues and move to stand. A curt nod was given to anyone remaining along with a gentle flick of her tail. Off would go the dark second for perhaps a patrol or just a small stroll. Some alone time to think and freshen her mind would be good.

Pyriel Albarn

Choosing the roll if teacher Pyriel knew that meant he would have to teach the little Archer. Considering the way things had turned out the last time he'd tried to talk to her he couldn't say he was exactly enthusiastic about trying to teach her to hunt. Still when Kyna asked him to make some time to take Revin out he offered a smile, “Yes of course. I can do that as soon as possible since will be ready for the hunt.”

When the lead female turned to her daughter and told her she needed to listen to him yesterday could not help but smirk inside. Now he would see how things went with her and if she truly would listen or if the words she spoke to her mother we're just for Kyna's benefit. Soon enough the meeting was over and the pack members started to disperse. Pyriel took his leave as well to get back to his work.
