Her paws were stinging from digging into the snow, she knew it was there though, she'd seen it disappear into a little burrow. She wasn't that hungry to be desperate enough to eat a mouse but it wasn't about that really. It had occupied her for the past ten minutes at least as she chased it here and there across the forest floor. She'd been having fun which was something she hadn't felt she'd had in awhile. So many things on her mind and so many things to worry about.
Chasing the mouse had been a nice distraction from it all. As she sniffed loudly into the hole she'd created in the snow she finally decided that the game was over. It was time to get back to work, where was that Fox when she needed it? The small Agouti woman shrugged as she turned from where she'd lost the mouse. Maybe she would find something else to chase, something bigger perhaps.
Putting her nose to the ground she went in search of a trail that might lead her to something useful. That was the thing about what she was doing, she never knew what she would find. Just when she thought she might not get very lucky in that part of the woods she came across a new scent but one she'd smelled multiple times before, meat. The pack needed meat and this smelled fresh enough she turned in the direction the scent was coming from.
