It was comforting to have the presence of another pregnant woman around. It might not be typical, but their little band of wolves, their pack, was far from typical, was it not? She smiled back and snorted at her words, rolling her eyes out of instinct. “You’d probably be drowning in males.” She teased, because the men were outnumbering the women, of that there was little doubt, and it was fun to make fun of their male companions… they were all good wolves, but they were, at the end of the day, men.
They would be there for each other. “We can do this.” She repeated with confidence and a wide grin on her features. “And we can help each other. Our kids can play together, learn to hunt and fight and heal together…” Their kids would, in essence, be family even if they weren’t in blood.
