Korrin's heart swelled within his chest as he saw the prideful gleam in his father's eyes directed towards him. His father rarely ever stated his pride concerning his son, so the child cherished it. Even rarer still was Ash's smile, and the boy too tucked that into his mind, for it was a special thing to witness and this was a moment he never wanted to forget. Looking up at the man he admired, Korrin was silent at his father's response, but nodded nonetheless. His father was right, as he always seemed to be. Who knew when his mother would return, or Nineva, but it would do both the son and father good to be happy in their absence.

After all, that was what his mother wanted. So he smiled softly and joined his father in looking up towards the slowly darkening sky. Korrin silently imagined his mother and sister were doing the same, and the hope brought him comfort.
