Raela Lieris Asurn
Everyone seemed to share in her bewilderment, but it was Moraxia's reaction that drew the most of the Alphess' attention. Her ears flicked backward uncomfortably, pupils dashing side to side once with a light shrug directed at both of them. What was she supposed to do? They needed members desperately – who were they to get picky at a time like this? And still, the leader knew that Sylva would need a lot of work to be any substantial help. She was still a young thing; it was possible, and possible was all the Crest could ask for right now.

At least the larger girl saw fit to welcome her properly. Raela's eyes drifted to Gent, and she found herself grinning at the man's words. Sylva though, was much less amused. Raela snorted softly at her cluelessness. Oh, this one needed help indeed. She'd taken the question literally, and again the Queen shook her head. "It's an expression," she started, smirking at the pup. "It means you were saying too many things too fast." Thankfully though, the girl actually did put forth an answer – eventually. Again the child murmured to herself, and Raela cocked an eyebrow. She was speaking aloud as if they weren't there. Poor thing must have been alone quite a long time... she mused, feeling concern at just how much of her social skill had been eroded, or perhaps never learned at all. She behaved much like a puppy some months younger.

At last, the girl declared something useful, and a broad grin spread across the matriarch's face. How right she was. "I don't think any of us can argue with that," she added, casting a knowing, almost chuckling smile to her companions. They'd just been bombarded with far too many details, but a good memory was useful indeed.

Gent Lieris

She seemed to be getting odder, but at least she had slowed down. That was important to note; that she listened. Much in line with Raela's thinking, he supposed there was little risk to giving the girl a chance. If she could be contained, and not out endangering the pack with a loose jaw or misrepresenting them as a whole, there really was little internal damage he could expect to be done by the girl. All in all, Gent didn't mind a project, so long as she didn't require too much of his attention.

Talk, yes, but not in a way that was beneficial. Hunting was well, and he supposed she must be relatively decent to have kept herself alive; he wondered how long she had been on her own. A good memory was excellent for those less sought after roles of scout and medic, and given her lacking social skills he leaned heavily toward the latter. The most important thing gleaned from her pondering aloud, however, was her desire to impress. That would be necessary if she was to make the changes they needed.

Now was not the time to hit her with such things, however. She must be tired, hungry and off balance from so much new in her life. Sylva needed time to settle in.

Gent nodded to Raela's final comment, before chipping in "We'll figure out your place. Everyone has one," and sometimes that place was exile, but hopefully the youth before him was not such a lost cause. "For the rest of today, just relax. Get used to your new home."
