Sunlight filtering through tree branches is what woke Tagg. He hummed as he stretched, enjoying the slight warmth on his back. While spring was still a little ways off, it was a relatively warm morning compared to what they’d had recently. He padded to the lake to break through the ice and get a quick drink before heading off to find something to do. He’d had a decent meal the night before and as such wasn’t particularly hungry. Maybe he’d hunt later, but right now he wanted to socialize.
More than anything, the scarred wolf wanted to spend time with Moon. He hadn’t really seen her since their hunt a few days before, and he wanted to get to know her more. He headed towards the pack den, hoping she might be around there. He was thinking about moving to start sleeping with the rest of the pack; it was about time, after all. He’d been there long enough, and though he was still defensive he’d stopped going into full attack mode when his packmates startled him. He was making progress.
Tagg let out a soft chuff as he approached the area most of the pack slept, not wanting to wake anyone that might still be sleeping but wanting to give them a warning of his approach. If she wasn’t here, Tagg would have to try to locate her or call out for her, something he wasn’t keen to do so early. He really hoped Moon would still be in the area.
