Lorcan felt a wave of relief wash over him as he finally managed to convince Inna that the only things she should be concerning herself with was the welfare of herself and their daughter. In his eyes everything else could wait. After all, what use was she to the pack if she couldn’t even look after herself properly? A lot had happened lately and she needed time to sort her head out before she could focus on sorting anything else out.

When @Inna suggested that they needed to tell Oksana about his true relation to her, Lorcan had grown hesitant and uncomfortable. He had been so focused on trying to correct Lachesis about what had happened at the Wild Rye Fields during their meeting that he had completely missed the moment when Inna had admitted that it had been him that had gotten her pregnant. Now as the dark raven explained to him how their pale leader knew everything, he couldn’t stop his heart from hammering fearfully against his chest.

“Oh…” He mumbled, golden eyes drifting to a dark corner of the den as he considered their options. “I suppose you are right.” He replied, having failed to come up with another idea. He really didn’t have much choice anymore. Oksana was going to find out one way or another. It was best that she should hear the truth from him.

“Did…did you want me to tell her now?” He asked nervously, glancing over towards the starlit entrance of the den.

The Raven knew Lorcan was right that all she could do now was worry about herself and getting through her grief and Oksana. She couldn't hope to help the pack when she was feeling so uncertain herself. The feelings of loss were so overwhelming for her that she didn't even know how to work through them. In such a short amount of time she felt like she had lost so much. Now more than ever she was glad that she had Lorcan back, he was her support and she hoped that he would always be there. After losing so many in her life she couldn't even be certain he would always be there. It had been solidified in her mind that no relationship no matter how important was never permanent. She would cherish him and her daughter as long as they were there but history had a bad way of repeating itself.

One thing was for certain and that was they had to tell their daughter the truth about Lorcan and the fact that he was her father. Soon enough, Inna was certain, the news would travel like wildfire through the pack. There was nothing she could do to stop it and she wasn't even sure she cared to. It wouldn't matter if it did once they had told Oksana, Lachesis knew and didn't seem to want to do anything about it. As long as their family was safe she didn't see the harm in telling Oksana now even if she had wanted to wait until her daughter was older.

Inna explained the situation to the tawny man to help him understand why they needed to tell her, he seemed surprised by the development. “We must act quickly,” she stated quietly pressed herself against him more. She would heed his support in this more than he had in the past. She knew his feelings about it and his worries but they had to do this for their daughter.

Looking up into his face she pressed her nose against his cheek, “We will tell her together. We've been in this together from the beginning and she needs to see how much we care about each other and about her. It's going to be hard for her to understand but we have to help her.” Inna followed his gaze to the entrance where she knew Oksana to be, she was nervous about how their daughter would take the news.

Releasing a heavy sigh, the agouti healer nodded in agreement. Inna was right. They had gotten this far by working together and sticking by each other. This time would be no different. Remaining planted in his spot within the den next to the mother, so that she could continue to press up against him, Lorcan directed his muzzle towards the entrance of the den where he knew their daughter was waiting outside.

“Oksana, when you’re ready, you can come back inside.” He said, quietly enough not to wake anymore nearby but loud enough for his daughter to hear him from outside. The use of her full name would likely hint to the girl that it was a serious matter, for he usually referred to her by her nickname unless he was telling her off.

His golden gaze flickered anxiously across to meet the deep orange gaze of Inna, seeking her support. After nuzzling the side of her cheek gently, his attention returned moonlit entrance of the den as waited nervously for the dark form of the pup to appear. His russet ears pressed back against his head as the young girl finally began to enter. Lorcan met her orange gaze, a uneasy smile planting on his charcoal lips.

“Me and your mother, we’ve…we’ve got something we want to tell you.”

After her mum had left her at the den the little smudge had finally been able to sleep after finding out her mother and Lorc were finally home. So deep in sleep the child hadn't realized when Inna had come into lay with her. She wasn't aware of anything until her mother woke her to tell her to go outside. That was strange since she usually wasn't allowed outside the den once they had settled in for the night.

Things just got stranger when she exited the den to find Lorc outside with food. Her mother wanted him to enter the den at such a late hour, Oksana was confused to say the least. “Thank you Lorc,” she'd told him before starting to eat as he disappeared inside. She hadn't had much of dinner earlier in the evening since she hadn't really had much of an appetite. Occupied with eating the pup didn't think much of what was going in inside the den so she was surprised to hear her name. It was Lorc that had spoken it and he'd used her full name, he never did that unless he was upset with her.

Knowing she should probably not waste time Oksana rose to her paws and padded to the entrance. A moment later she was met with the gleam of both pairs of eyes. With her head and tail down, afraid she was in trouble, she approached them. They had something to tell her? She looked to her mother with curiosity and worry.

Inna Baranski

This was another one of those life changing moments for her daughter and Inna was left wishing she didn't have to tell her. Like when she had told her about Kisla she had no idea how Oksana would react. Would she be mad that she hadn't been told sooner or would she be happy that she finally knew her father and that he had always been there for her from the beginning. She watched quietly as Lorcan called for their daughter and waited for her to enter the den. “I'm worried,” she whispered to him before Oksana appeared.

She was worried that they were too late, it seemed to be how things were working out for them lately. What if the news had already been spread to her? Inna tried to tell herself that it wasn't possible because Oksana wasn't acting any differently. She hated the feeling of turmoil that churned inside of her, she hated having to worry about if her daughter would hate her for dropping so many things on her at such a young age.

The raven’s eyes closed as Lorcan nuzzled her cheek, “I'm sorry things have ended up like this,” she whispered into his ear just before their daughter finally found her way into the den. Inna opened her eyes and turned her head to the den entrance just as the smudge entered. She offered a gentle smile to her daughter as Lorcan spoke. She had taken notice of her daughter's posture and decided to set her at ease, “You're not in trouble Sana and it's nothing bad. We should have told you sooner,” she said looked up to Lorcan, “But I wanted to wait until you were older and could better understand but it's come to.our attention that we need to tell you now.” Inna stopped there, Lorcan could be the one to tell her. The Raven felt like it was something he would want to do after so long, to finally be able to acknowledge that he had a daughter and to openly show it too.

As Oksana neared the entrance, Lorcan noticed immediately the fearfulness in her posture. Almost instantly he regretted calling her by her full name, worrying now that he had made her scared or uneasy. She wasn’t the in any trouble. She was entirely innocent and it was just unfortunate that she had been caught up in all of her parents’ personal drama. The agouti male didn’t say anything as Inna whispered across to him. Mentally he was busy preparing himself what was to happen next.

Lorcan offered his daughter as smile as her mother spoke, his expression softening to convey his adoration for the girl. When Inna fell silent the healer released another weary sigh. He had no idea how his daughter was going to react, but it had to be done. This was it, from this moment his daughter could either love him or hate him.

“Sana…we wanted to tell you…that, I’m more than just your friend.” He paused then, waiting to see if his daughter would catch on to what he was saying. "I’m also your family.” He continued, struggling to come out with the one word he needed to say. “Sana, I’m your real father. You're my daughter.” He sounded stupid, but he didn't know how to make it any clearer to the girl. He glanced across anxiously towards Inna before his golden gaze returned on his daughter, anticipating some form of angry onslaught from the child when she realised that she had been lied to all this time.

In the den Oksana wasn't sure what to expect. She didn't think she had done anything wrong that would warrant her being in trouble. Maybe uncle Lach had told them that he had decided they should move away. To say Oksana was a little afraid of what her mother and Lorc would tell her. Something did occur to her as she waited those ideas of what it could be going through her head. Why was Lorc there if that was all it was.

Her mother spoke up calmly assuring her that she wasn't in trouble, explaining about telling her and waiting. None if it made sense to the smudge. Her mother was being so vague that the confusion she felt caused her to narrow her eyes at Inna. She loved her mum but she was glad when he finally stopped trying to confuse her.

Her gaze then went to Lorc as he started to speak, she had to admit he wasn't doing much better than her mother had done. Though his words actually came together and made a little more sense the smudge wasn't sure what he was getting at until she heard the word father. A look of disbelief crossed her features, Lorc was her dad like uncle Lach was Lil and Lav’s dad. Oksana shook her head, why hadn't they told her before but then what her mother said started to make more sense.

Her gaze went to Inna before going back to Lorc. She was so confused but happy that she knew who her father was. “Sana not understand,” she said quietly, “Why tell now?” Why not sooner or later like her mother had wanted? Why was it now she had to know?

Inna Baranski

After trying to reassure Oksana that she wasn't in trouble and that everything was okay Inna tried to tell herself that this was best. Oksana needed to know and now Lorcan wouldn't have to hide his love for his daughter. He could openly show her and not have to treat her like the rest of the puppies. She wasn’t like the rest of the puppies, not to Lorcan because she was his daughter and she deserved to be treated as such. They were doing the right thing.

Inna stayed silent as Lorcan spoke letting him get it out in his own time. It couldn't have been easy for him but she did think he was the one that needed to tell Oksana. She watched the pups expression change and her gaze move between them as she seemed to be working things out in her head. Then finally she spoke and Inna felt a little relieved as the child didn't seem upset just full of questions.

“Come,” she told her daughter before she set to explaining why. When Oksana had come closer she nudged her cheek before glancing at Lorcan and back to their daughter. “As I said before I was hoping that it could wait until you were older so I could explain everything and you could understand but it's very complicated. We told you now because we didn't want you to find out from somewhere else.” In a then looked to Lorcan once more and gave him a nod so that he could add what he might want to say.
