Lachesis "XIX" Stark
This is a READ-ONLY but you are welcome to post your character's response. This will be archived February 6
Lachesis is announcing the move of Hearthwood River. You can assume that he's already put some feelers out about the move~

It was time.

The tall, looming cedar trees had become more of a prison than a haven, filled with distant memories of wolves who had come and gone. There had been heaps of drama in the recent months, causing tension to grow between the river wolves. More specifically one river wolf. It made his heart ache, to know that a wolf he had once considered a daughter was now a stranger to him. He struggled to believe the words tumbling off her tongue most days and found it impossible to trust her, even though he wanted to.

After discovering the surging river nestled at the base of the mountain he couldn’t think of much else. It had consumed his thoughts and he often found himself wandering back to the forest to ensure no loners have moved into their future territory. He had discussed things over and over with his mate, to make sure he was making the right decision, for the last time he had suggested a move he had been greeted by backlash. But she, too, could tell that a fresh that was what the wolves of Hearthwood needed. There were too many ghosts among the cedars.

It was suffocating.

In the early hours of the morning he returned to the dens, his alabaster fur glistening with snowflakes. He knew they couldn’t stay—not anymore. The tension had grown thicker and he could tell that it was starting to effect the children, for they had grown more withdrawn and spent more time outside pack territory. Especially Risaela, who had gone on a little rendezvous to visit their western neighbours. He feared more members would continue to wander, as they did in the past, and Lachesis worried that their numbers would dwindle in the warmer months.

This move wasn’t just for him—it was for his family; the pack. Hearthwood had never truly belonged to him. Lachesis had been grandfathered into the position as a result of his friend’s death. He still felt as though he was trying to appease the fallen king,

Tossing his head to the pale morning sky he called for his packmates, announcing that it was time for them to leave Hearthwood behind. Without waiting for a response he began moving forward to their new home. Driftwood Surge.

Inna Baranski

She hadn't known when the day would come she would have to say goodbye to her daughter. Inna had spoken to Oksana after she had pulled herself together enough to talk to her daughter without breaking down. There had been plenty of tears and Oksana was clearly upset but Inna felt powerless to do anything. She had ordered her daughter to stay with Lachesis with promises that she would try to visit as often as possible.

The Raven only hoped she could keep those promises and that she wouldn't be chased off or worse. She hated every moment of telling her daughter that she could not go, that she was no longer wanted in the pack. She told Oksana everything so that the pup would understand why things had to be this way and help her understand that if things could he different she wouldn't be leaving at all.

Then the day came Lachesis call rang through the trees, they were leaving the Kingswood. The day had come when she would have to say her goodbyes to Oksana and hope that it wasn't the last time she would see her daughter. Inna walked with Oksana to the border and hugged her before placing a kiss to her cheek. “I will come as often as I can. Be good and do as you're told. I love you Oksana and nothing will ever change that.” She then sent her daughter to catch up with Lachesis watching as the dark figure of her only child disappeared into the trees.

Oksana Baranski

She had never ever thought she would go a day without her mother in her life. That was now an even bigger possibility after her mother had told her everything that had been said between her and Ayti. The little Crow couldn't believe the man would say such things to her mother, she should have known better. He caused her father to leave and now he was threatening her mother. It seemed he was determined to take her parents from her forever. She could feel an emotion burning inside her Everytime she thought about the man and what he had done to her and her parents. She hated Aytigin Delaney with everything she had inside her.

She didn't want to leave her mother behind and take the chance that she would never see her again. She knew that the promises her mother made may not be kept bit she also knew that if her mother could she would do everything to try and keep them. She'd never broken a promise to her and Oksana didn't think she would if she could help it.

Everyday after that talk Oksana was with Inna she wanted to make everyday count in case she never saw her mother again. Their days were numbered and she didn't know how.many they had. When she heard Lachesis she knew the day had come, their time together had run out. Tears fell from the pups eyes and she buried her face into her mother's fur. She whined as her mother told her she loved her, I love you too,” she whispered. Then Inna sent her to catch up to Lachesis.

She started to go before turning back one last time to see her mother standing at the border tears falling from the Ravens eyes. What would her mum do now? She felt bad to leave her all alone but Inna had made herself very clear. So the little Crow turned in the snow and ran in the direction she knew Lachesis to be. She couldn't help the sinking feeling she would never see her mum again.

Lilya Valrorys
'cause darling you're nothing but brave

Lilya stood beside Lachesis as he made the call, a soft smile on her face, and a soft nudge against his neck before they began to move. She’d rounded up @Lilliana and @Lavender shortly before so she knew they were close enough to hear the call. She’d become more confident that this was the right decision to make. Hearthwood would still always hold a place in their hearts, but that was the only way it could stay with them. They should not continue to try and live in a forest that had been tainted with so many memories and so much pain.

She would almost argue it’d be like trying to live on the war torn soils of her homeland, with the constant reminder of the blood of her kin that had been spilt on the ground. Such pain would be unbearable, just as the losses and pain associated with the losses of Maksim and Kisla still weighed on many within the pack, particularly her mate. In the end, they had to do what was best for them, and she knew in her heart, Kisla and Maksim would forgive them for that. Laddeus too… she liked to think her family, and perhaps even Kisla and Maksim, were up there watching over the little boy until it was his parent’s time to join him in the sky.
