Pyriel Albarn

He was thankful that he hadn't been around for the previous breeding season. It was all just too overwhelming and too much temptation for the warrior. Knowing the consequences should he let his natural urges take over the pale Agouti was spending more time outside the borders making sure loners weren't skulking about. Even there though he couldn't get a break from the pungent aroma of the females in heat.

He needed to go further in hopes the scent wouldn't follow him. So he left the heights and traveled down the mountain. Then when he finally felt like he'd gotten far enough away he sat back on his haunches a moment to just take in some air that was filled with the scent of female in heat. Once he'd done that he set to work doing some hunting, maybe he'd just stay out there until the season was over.

look what you made me do

Summit had never experienced so much temptation! He was beginning to see why his father and mother did things they way they had. He was starting to feel his self control dissolve with all the sweet perfume. Just once, he thought. But, truthfully he wasn't about to do something stupid against Greer and Kyna. He didn't have anyone worth taking the risk for. Why he was half tempted to depart the Heights, and start over again he didn't have the heart. He didn't want to live somewhere else. This loyalty was...strange.

It was following Pyriel's lead he struck further from the boundaries hoping to find something else to preoccupy him. His wound was a scar, and he wouldn't mind a fight about now. Maybe he could find a coyote to tease. Or find where that bobcat had run off to. He wouldn't be completely stupid, but he had energy to burn.

Eventually, his blue eyes landed on a familiar wolf. Instead of announcing himself in the normal way Summit decided something else. It was with a playful growl he bounded, trying to place a nip to his pack mate's rough.

It was good to get away from that overpowering scent that seemed to follow him everywhere in the heights. He didn't t want to do anything stupid or against Greer or Kyna, they'd been good to him. So the best thing was getting away from it all which he did and it was very nice to have some fresh air in his lungs. Too much longer and his mind would have started wanting to all the bad things he could get up to.

The pale Agouti had a mind to catch and kill something, what better way to take his mind off things. He wasn't aware that he was being followed let alone by his young packmate. It wasn't until the playful growl reached his ears and nip to his rump that he realized it. His nose had been buried in the snow searching for a scent when it happened causing him to whirl around to face the young man.

He had a smile on his face once he realized who had nipped his rump, “And what exactly are you looking for out here?” He questioned with a raised brow. Surely it wasn't some kind of fun, the warrior felt that he had become rather boring in his self imposed retirement from the fighting life.

For being nipped by surprise he was a good sport! Though it was obvious Summit hadn't expected that and had danced backwards. At the ready. With his smile, his silver tail beat behind him. Only a little disappointed he hadn't incited a different kind of reaction.

"A certain kind of trouble I guess. Since there's another kind better to be avoided." He met his green gaze trying to gage what may just be going on behind it. He really had little idea about this guy. He should probably attempt to change that. Least he'd know if he was someone to ask to go hunting or raise hell or anything really.

The nip hadn't bothered Pyriel but having found out who had done it did have him thinking he didn't know the wolf well. Since it seemed they were both trying to avoid the temptations that surrounded them back in their territory it would be a good time. The question was what was his pack mate up to.

His brow rose a little higher at the admission as he had to wonder what kind of trouble Summiter had in mind. “Oh, and what kind if trouble is that?” He asked a smile crossed the pale agouti’s features at the last part. “The other know should he avoided at all cost,” he agreed, “We should find something else to keep ourselves occupied.” Though now that his packmate was with him the options had just grown considerably.

The mountain wolf smirked. A bit too pleased with himself for the surprise on the Albarn's face. Clearly, he was interested with a smile of his own. "Haven't quite decided." Which was true, he had little thought what kind of "trouble". He'd been hoping to stir a little with Pyriel, but apparently he didn't have buttons to push. Why he would love to go poke at the willow wolves he didn't exactly want to give Kyna or Greer something more to stress over.

And yet...

With staying away from females their priority they could hunt he supposed. Scope the mountain for a target. Chasing it rather it had claws or hooves. "Should we scout around? Fine something to pursue, or we could spar? I'm out of practice."

The Albarn turned to face his pack mate now ready for anymore surprise attacks. He did have to chuckle at the other wolf's attempts. Pyriel had to give him some credit for sneaking up on the warrior, not many had been able to do it in the past. The pale Agouti shrugged it off though as luck on Summiter's part. “Well then I guess we are just going to have to figure it out.” They did need something to occupy their minds after all.

Pyriel had a few ideas but it was his companion that spoke first. He'd come out to hunt but it seemed the other wolf had a much better idea than that. “I like the idea of a spar, it's been awhile since I've had one of those,” he said a smirk crossing his features. It was a perfect way to keep their minds off the temptation of the females and blow off a little steam.

"A spar it is," and he grinned. Though maybe there was some kind of warning lurking in it, as he sized up Pyriel. He didn't plan to be malicious, but Summit was the kind of man who liked to win. Who would like to think he could. It sounded like his pack mate was out of practice too. Or was he bluffing? He really didn't know him well enough to decide. He would.

On ancy legs he faced the other man. Stretching out his frame into a fighting form he'd been taught. But, unlike his "greeting" he wasn't just gonna go for it. He wanted to make sure Pyriel was ready. After all if he won it needed to be a fair fight. Mostly. Tipping his head to the side, it was a quiet motion, saying when he was ready he could begin.

Since his days in the blood breakers Pyriel hadn't done any kind of fighting. A good spar was well overdue for the ex-warrior. The pale man returned the grin as he found he was rather looking forward to this whether he got his ass handed to him or not. It would be good for both of them to have a little practice as well, Pyriel had always enjoyed a good spar at any rate.

For a moment he watched as his packmate readied himself for what was to come. The former warriors training had taught him to be ready for an attack at any time. To know where it was coming from and how to counter it. This however wasn't going to be needed right away. Summiter signaled to Pyriel that he was ready and should begin. The pale man gave a slight nod back that he understood before deciding on his first attack, a lunge to the others left just a test to start. The former warrior wanted to see where his opponent was at.
