Anaeia Wraith
Amber eyes watched with intent and waited for the younger male to take lead. Steady streams of vapour licking the air in the meantime, the only sign she was still alive out here. To some, this could be taken as a sign of trust, even to herself to some extent. The female was always meant to follow the orders of others, but she also had to understand when a situation might need to be altered for the better of the 'group' that is involved. He could handle this small step.

She followed his trail, paws placing themselves where he had placed his own. They were slow and careful, waited for paws to have a hold on the cold stone hidden beneath snow before moving the next and repeating. Eyes had narrowed, the wind stinging the outer lids as it whipped on by. But something would suddenly change, the little trek taking a different turn when the male started to yelp and scrambling for the ground. And she was right behind him.

Inner gears snapped into place, and the essence of teamwork suddenly overwhelmed the female. Despite being smaller than Daesamar. Anaeia quickly sidestep, preventing the chance of herself being crushed by his weight and sending them flying down the steep outcrop. Paws planted themselves, digging into the snow, claws gripping as hard as they could. Within a matter of seconds. Her head swung round, jaws swinging open then snapping closed upon the boys' scruff.

Amazingly she had grabbed hold of the male as he went back down the rock face, his bodyweight causing herself to slide a little downward. But she wouldn't let go till he found his feet again, straining her neck and keeping her legs stiff. Breathing shifting to heavy pants, heating his neck. So close. Amber eyes were wide as she looked at his face, should he look back. As though saying 'I got you.'

Daesamar Silverveil
It all happened so fast, Daesama saw the world spinning all around him, bumping his snout against the rocky wall before he felt something dig into his scruff, preventing him from falling further. He sucked in a breath, working quickly, he found his footing, the warm breath blowing against his neck a reminder that not only was his life in danger if he slipped further. Paws pressed into the snowy stone as he slowly turned, looking Anaeia in the eyes, the relief evident.

“Thank you.” he said between shaky breaths, looking up at the rest of the outcrop, and then back at the safety of the ground, he wanted to climb up there, but the desire to live started to outweigh that urge, what if they fell again? What if his foolishness got this stranger injured? Daesmar couldn’t live with himself if that happened. He gave his head a shake “We should head back down….”

Anaeia Wraith
The male found his footing, the heavy weight on her neck being lifted as paws found their placement. When sure that he was in a good position, Anaeia would release her hold. All the while her gaze remained on Daesamar, making sure that he was okay and wondering if he would like to head back down. The two had not gotten extremely far, but should they have fallen it would leave a nasty pain in their bodies. Ears rose at his thanks, her response as your welcome. But he suggested heading back down. A look of defeat coming over those innocent features. It wasn't a bad idea, and Anaeia looked down at the path they came from in thought. With one ear turning to him, her gaze shifted back to him and she huffed softly. Short. She would follow him down if that was what he wished. But she wouldn't move until he did, remaining where she was standing just a moment ago when she caught him.

Daesamar Silverveil
Well, he wasn’t aware of it yet, but he was positive that that her ears rising had meant that she had at least listened. He took the silence as agreement and waited for her to make the first move like she had in the climbing attempt. A look of worry formed on his muzzle when he saw the familiar face of defeat mirrored in her features. “Don’t worry, i was an idiot for thinking that this was a good idea, we’ll get up there when it’s warmer….if it gets warmer.” He still had yet to live through his first winter, but there had to be an end to all this snow, right? Without putting much thought into it, Daesamar leaned in to bump his nose against the smaller wolf’s neck, a sign of comfort, he didn’t want her to feel bad about the failed attempt.

He turned, looking down the slight slope before taking a breath, it hit him that she may have been waiting for him to take the lead, it was an odd position for the yearling, not one he had ever seen himself being in, even for something as minor as this. Desiring no repeats, he moved with caution, slowly planting each forepaw and keeping it against the rock, until he could be sure that it was stable.

It was a slow process, but eventually the youth reached the bottom of the outcrop, and eh turned, like a good gentleman, like his mama had always told him to be, ready to serve as a massive fluffy pillow incase his companion stumbled.

He tried to assure the girl, a nice gesture. But something about this defeat would not sit nicely with Anaeia, glancing towards the top of the outcrop as though declaring war on it. She would make it to the top, at another time, with Daesamar. Show him that the male was able to make it to the top. But as she was staring upward, a touch came to the girls' neck. And as he had turned away she had gone rigid. It was an unfamiliar thing to experience, so there would be some distance between the two while she tried to process this. It wouldn't take long though, and once the girl was able to snap out of the little trance she was in she followed suit after the male.

Slow and steady down the terrain, she would place paws where he had been. Planting them and doing a little wiggle first before continuing to the next. She was focused on every step, but in between a few she would glance up to see how the other was doing. Ready to jump forward and snag him should he lose footing again. All was good however, they made it to the bottom perfectly fine and the boy had turned to watch her make it safely. On the solid good ground, she looked at him with ears perked, front paws placed together and giving a swish of her tail. This was... good.

@Anaeia

Once he was sure the female had made it down safely, Daesamar glanced around once more, his grin returning as he settled down, planting his haunches onto the snowy surface. His silver eyes shifted toward the rocky outcrop. One day he’d get up to the top of it. One  day, though if it was any time soon, he wasn’t sure, it wasn’t too much of a concern though. He was far less worried and determined about it then his silent companion.

“You alright though?” he asked, looking back toward the brown female, he realized something. He didn’t know her name, or if she even had one. That was something he wasn’t happy with, everyone deserves a name after all. He closed his eyes, thinking it over for a few moments. “I...I don’t know what to call you ma’am, but just….the brown wolf with a very hard star, it’s a mouthful, and doesn't roll well off the tongue.” He paused, opening his mouth and showing his tongue before grinning. “Any ideas though?”

Amber eyes watched with minor curiosity as the male took a look around at their surroundings, surely debating on where to go next. And oddly enough, she would have followed him too, despite him nearly falling down the outcrop. But she would be a little caught off guard when he turned back and asked if she was alright. Ears going erect and a brow raising. In turn, she would raise her head and try to look at herself for wounds, even sticking out those thin legs for a look see. There couldn't be a chance she got scratched up, maybe her teeth hurt a little but all was good.

She turned back to him and gave the slightest of a nod and a flick of her tail. All good. With a head tilt, she watched him close his eyes soon after, taking a side glance around them before closing her own in mock. Was this a thing people did when encountering others? Kind of like acknowledging each other as something positive? Such strange customs for normal wolves. But as soon as it happened, @Daesamar spoke and she reopened her eyes to find him looking to her.

He didn't know what to call her, finding it amusing to stick his tongue out at her and asking for ideas. But, she doesn't speak. She shouldn't. Slowly her own tongue slid out between dark lips, maybe only partially hanging out. In all honesty, if she had been able to speak, she would have shared how she doesn't have a name, only a title. Such an intimate thing being stripped from her long ago. But she would not give up so easily, her own gaze falling to the ground in thought of something simple to give him.

That's when she got it. Anaeia looked up and sucked that tongue back into the confines of her mouth, giving a tap with her paw on the ground for him to look. It wouldn't be great, but it was something for now. What she tried to get his attention to was a rock between them, her paw reaching out to push it towards him an inch or so. A pebble. He could call her pebble for now, sticking her tongue out again to show that it would be easy to say on tongue.

@Anaeia

The yearling watched eh check herself over with unnecessary worry. Slightly irrational that she might find some lost or unseen injury during her inspection.he realized that he had been holding his breath in while she looked herself over. He exhaled slowly, nodding in response to her own subtle head bob. She seemed to think the name question over slowly, before glancing around at the ground.

Daesamar tilted his head in slight confusion, his silver gaze looking toward toward the rock she gestured at with a paw. He tilted his head, thinking it over slowly. At first, he didn’t get it, instead of pebble, something else came to mind. “Fleck? Dirt?” [/b] A scowl formed against his eyebrows, those sounded like horrible names, he hoped that that wasn’t what she meant. It was then that he saw the stone more closely, nodding in understanding. “Oh!’ he yipped confidently. “Pebble?”

She watched him as the gears began to work into place, figuring out what she was trying to tell him with the little rock in relation to a name. But what he would say was not it, and the girl allowed a single ear to swivel off to the side as a wrong answer type of deal. But he was trying, as was evident in the male's scowl. And then he got it, nodding and yipping the name. Pebble. That was it, it could work for now till she was capable of speaking again. If it was possible, just would have to wait and see.

With a quiet huff, the female confirmed the name choice, even giving a little tap on the pebble. At this point she had even sat herself down, brown tail folded across those little paws of hers. Amber eyes watching Daesamar as though waiting for the next thing for them to do, something she had tag along right behind him.

Daesamar beamed a grin when he noticed the confirmative nod from the silent female. He shifted on the snow covered ground, resting on his stomach now, his big paws neatly before him. He looked back and forth between the sky, the outcrop, and Pebble, unsure what to do now, before his mouth parted in a yawn.

The yearling groans contently, happy to simply sit in silence and enjoy the day as it passed them by. He didn’t look around for long before he turned his attention back onto the female. “You alright though? Need anything? Got something to eat and such?” he was offering, but the wolf was far more exhausted then he let show. The struggle up the outcrop had taken most of what excess energy he had left in him out and left the youth tired. He’d gladly hunt though, if his companion did ened something, he’d sleep far better knowing she was well taken care of.
