i've been sent to torch the palace down in broad daylight

He had led @Tilly home and set her up in a secluded place by one of the newer dogwood trees that grew amongst all the burned trees. The male had stuck relatively close to her in case anyone wanted to come asking questions. As far as Kerberos was concerned, she was his patient until she was healed up to either get out of here or make a decision to stay. He would supply her with whatever she needed for it was no secret that Kerberos had a few of his own secret stashes hidden around the territory.

A somewhat fresh hare hung loosely from his jaws as he approached where she should have been. He intended to do a brief check-up on the Archer-Lyall before asking a few questions.

The girl pouted, then sighed, and dramatically rolled over. Wincing as her muscles pulled at aching bruises and barely settled scabs stretched. She didn't wanna just lay around, she wanted to get up and sink her teeth into more coyote ass. She wanted to show them that nobody messed with Tilly Archer and got away with it, but well, maybe she needed to find herself some allies before she tried to paint the town red.

It was an odd feeling, laying about in a pack territory that wasn't controlled by her mother. She knew there were other wolves around, and whether they were aware of her or not she wasn't quite sure but they seemed to be avoiding her... or maybe they had pups to fuss over and just hadn't even noticed she was here at all. An even weirder thought... maybe they didn't care?

Her tail thumped enthusiastically against the ground as a familiar tawny form approached offering him a wide smile. Despite the way her stomach gurgled at the sight of what was hanging from her jaws, she wouldn't assume that he had bought it here for her. She wasn't a child after all. She was more than capable of catching something for herself... or... she would be, if only she could figure out which leg hurt the least to bare weight on the front... At least it only seemed to be bruises and shallow wounds. She'd be up and about again before anyone ever knew she was here, or at least she hoped that was the case.

He grinned with the hare still clenched between his jaws. It was nice to see someone not glare or squint at his arrival, no squabbles or backhand compliments.

The male tossed the hare lightly to let it settle at the Archer-Lyall's paws. He had indeed brought it for her. His meals were most certainly spaced out these days, no more gluttony in meals (for he seemed to find glutton elsewhere) and he just ate when he needed to. How are you feeling, Tilly? He asked as he settled his rear onto the ground. Kerberos didn't expect her to be magically healed overnight. She was a bit battered and he still needed to better tend to her wounds and bruises.

Her head clearly tracked the movement of the hare, much like a small childs, the pace of her tail increasing the closer it got and pushing her body closer through the dirt to gently, jerk it just a little closer to herself, as though maybe if she only made little movements, he wouldn't quite catch onto what she was doing. When he spoke her name however, she assumed she was caught and pinned her ears back against her skull, wide eyes and tilted chin offered in silent apology... Oh, but he was only asking her how she was, not what on earth she thought she was doing trying to steal food from right under his nose, and she visibly relaxed, a paw now resting possessively on the side of the unfortunate critter. It wasn't like it'd be hard for him to get it back if he wanted it.

"Just a bit achy still but nothin' terminal." But he already knew that much surely. "Should be up and outta yer fur in no time!" She tried to sound upbeat but somehow the thought already left her feeling just a bit hollow... He wasn't half bad this one, even bought her food. "So're you a bigwig around 'ere or somethin?" She didn't imagine just anyone had the pull to bring a loner home with them and share the packs resources on a whim.
