Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
Xandra herself was an aging coyote and not much of a threat. In fact, she had noticed in recent years how tired she became if she was doing too much strenuous exercise. That meant that normally she would have never been so bold as to wander into what is clearly wolf territory and help herself to some of their stored treats. But, they had all grown bold in the last few months, bolder than they had ever been before. And, along with the newfound confidence they had found Xandra had also brought along four of her much more physically able relatives. Her daughter - but not her no good deadbeat mate - and her three grandchildren. No longer babies but adults in their own right, and they were hungry.
Confident and hungry made for a intoxicating combination and so they had flounced right past the borders of the wolf territory. Not only that but they had gorged themselves on the nearest cache, eating it dry. But it still wasn’t enough for the greedy vermin, and now noses to the ground and bellies full - but never full enough - they sought out another, if they weren’t stopped they would empty that one too before retreating to go find somewhere to sleep off their food coma.
