Estella del Universo
Short ><
It was early morning and Estella had just woken up. She didn't sleep well the night before and just couldn't go back to sleep. The female stretched her limbs while she yawned and shook the dirt and grass off her fur. With a wag of her tail she headed towards Heartleaf Creek. As she got there she stopped to listen to the birds as they woke up with a lovely song to sing. The sun could barely be seen it was still dawn and the air was moist and smelled clean. Lowering her head to take a drink she came up with a marvelous idea! Perhaps she could follow the creek and see where it would lead her.

The female finished drinking and started heading east as she followed the creek. It slowly turned north then south. Suddenly something caught her attention. She was in a place she hadn't been at before. She had been living in the Relic for not too many days and she wanted to know where she was at now. She sniffed the ground, pack wolves had been here. The pack that lived in the Relic that is. She smiled as she looked around at the trees. The woods seemed so full of life.

Weldering Darksidy
The two lone wolves had a fair few things in common, firstly Weldering had also not slept too well over the past few nights. As he flexed his forepaws out from body stretching as far as possibly while arching his back he could feel his body aching. Yet Weldering was prominent that the problems would go away soon enough and life would return to being somewhat normal. As each new day in Relic Lore passed by he was becoming increasingly confident while he familiarised himself with the territory. From the deepest reaches of Cedarwood Forest to the heights of the Dire Mountain, slowly he was finding his place here.

Yet also much like Estella he found himself roaming around by the Heartleaf Creek more often then not. The cool waters were relaxing and refreshing during the middle of these summer days and aside from that it carved a direct path to every area of Relic Lore so using the creek was in fact a very good way to navigate and tell where you were. It was still too early in the morning to be jumping about in the water and so Weldering was content loping down a well worn trail just along the bank heading directly towards Estella. His fur ruffled and ears perked high and alert he caught sight of her immediately yet did not let up his pace until he had approached. "Morning." He greeted while adding a dip of his maw respectfully. Though he did not break out into saying anything else just yet instead he wanted to make sure she was in no rush or even wanted to chat to him in the first place.

The woods seemed so peaceful and the sun was slowly breaking through the gaps in between the tress and leaves giving the woods a nice deep orange glow. The female looked up and the sky was dark blue and she tilted her head as she looked towards the direction of the sun raising. Beautiful. Estella didn't really want to wander in the woods by herself. She was tired of being alone all the time. She was use to it, but she didn't enjoy it so much. Sighing she decided to return to the Heartleaf Creek and take another drink and perhaps head back to where she had made her den.

As she headed back to the creek she saw an odd colored wolf heading her way. Stopping she watched him. She had never seen a wolf such as him. He had such pretty fur and stunning eyes! He then approached her and she smiled as she wagged her tail. <b style="color:#996666">Morning to you as well, she said as she wagged her tail calmly. <b style="color:#996666">Couldn't sleep? She asked him as she knew mostly everyone was asleep at the this time of day.

He did not miss small details such as the smallest movement of her tag as it wagged, he could feel his haughty body untensing as he begun to relax. Weldering was also relieved that he had found someone to talk to and qualm his boredom for now. "No, couldn't sleep. I guess I just don't feel too comfortable in this forest just yet as it is still new to me. How about you? You're up early too hmm?" He asked, noting that her question about not being able to sleep might be something they had in common. Though it did begin to make him wonder what was on her mind that was stopping her.

"I'm Weldering." He introduced adding another small dip of his muzzle with a small smile tracing over his onyx stained lips. His blue gaze for now still focused upon her though staying alert with his ears still pressed upright, he knew there were several wolves from packs and loners roaming these lands and that could come across them.

She smiled as he spoke back to her. It was nice to have a conversation with someone again. It had been such a long time since she had last had a civil conversation with anyone. In fact, she never really met many lone wolves during her journey. So it was nice just to meet someone new and speak with them. Hearing his voice comforted her and made her feel at ease. <b style="color:#996666">I just wasn't feeling too well. Like you I guess I'm just not use to this place yet, it was an different place then her home but she was wanting to settle down again and stop traveling all over the place. It would be nice to have a place to call home.

She sat down and made herself comfortable. She would wander around later. At the moment they were talking. Her tail brushed again the ground pushing dirt from side to side. <b style="color:#996666">I'm Estella. How long have you been here? How long have you been a lone wolf? Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, she apologized to him bashfully as she looked down at her paws. She didn't want to seem pushy to know more about the stranger, but she just couldn't help herself sometimes... A lot of times...

Weldering Darksidy
Weldering also enjoyed a good conversation from time to time, though more and more he was now beginning to wonder whether he should anchor his restless paws to Relic Lore and its forests. The lone wolves that he had met so far were not too bad, even the resident pack was ok yet perhaps a little too protective and grumpy. But it would only take the formation of another pack to perhaps knock them off their regal peg they had climbed onto and stop thinking that the entire forest was their playground.

As Estella explained why she was up so early in the morning and about as well as her introduction following his own he was beginning to feel so laid back it was making him tired again, as if he was ready to curl up and have another shot at sleeping off his grogginess. Yet the questions she asked and also curious about her kept him rooted to the spot as he reclined neatly back onto his haunches allowing his black and silver tail to curl around over his forepaws. "So you're new as well?" He repeated.

"I don't mind the questions at all." He insisted with the same faint trace of a smile like before. At least she was not leaving the conversation entirely down to him to maintain, he always did love chatting to wolves that also enjoyed a good natter. "Well I've only been here for just under a week, before that I spent most of my life on a large island. As for being a lone wolf I've been one most of my life, though I was in a pack for about six months recently. " Frowning ever so slightly at the mention of his previous pack. "But that didn't turn out so well... I'd rather not talk about it." Unwilling to drag up the fresh wounds still implanted in his memory, he just was not comfortable. "So what about you? Lone wolf? How did you end up here?"

Estella del Universo
Estella began back to her previous thoughts and wondered why he looked the way he did. She had never seen a wolf with such unique fur! Then again she really didn't know many wolves other then the few lone wolves she had met on her way to Relic and the wolves from her former pack. Weldering almost seemed as though he would be a part of her imagination with the way he looked and those gorgeous blue eyes of his! He was different in every way. In her family, mostly everyone had silver or brown eyes. The rest of the wolves in her former pack had gold eyes. <b style="color:#996666;">You have pretty eyes, she randomly thought to herself out loud. <b style="color:#996666;">I mean, yes I'm new as well. How embarrassing that was! If was a good thing that wolves had fur or he would of seen her blushing. She envied Weldering for her eyes. A female such as her deserved eyes like that, not a male... But they suited him and her eyes were fine the way they were. So all was fine... Still didn't mean she couldn't be envious of him.

The female was happy to hear that he didn't mind her questions. She remembered when almost everyone hated that she spoke too much, but now that she was a lone wolf she had calmed down a lot when it came to talking. She was sure if she were to meet him before she had became a lone wolf his ears would of been bleeding by now. She smiled once again as the wolf mentioned he had only been in Relic for less then a week. It was nice to hear that she wasn't the only one that was new. She stopped smiling as he seemed upset about something when he mentioned that he had been a part of a pack once.

<b style="color:#996666">It's fine, you don't have to speak of it. She said as she watched him closely. Quickly he changed the subject and asked about her and she smiled not wanting him to keep his mind on what was making him upset. Then again she knew that she couldn't fully keep his mind off of whatever was bothering him. <b style="color:#996666">Well, I also arrived here a few days ago. I've been a lone wolf for about four months now. My reason for leaving my home wasn't really a good enough reason now that I look back on it. I was just being a selfish brat, she said in a disgusted tone as she spoke about herself. She then stood up, <b style="color:#996666">Would you like to explore the woods with me? She hoped that it would cheer him up a bit.

Weldering Darksidy
Wait wasn't he meant to be the hopeless romanticist? The fact that was was now blushing and coming out with comments that he usually blurted out himself was making him feel all the more awkward and timid. The moment his blue eyes were mentioned he sent his gaze quickly down towards his forepaws as he begun scuffing one of them against the short grass of the trail he sat on. He did not really think about his own eyes too much, it was one part of your body that you couldn't really see unless it was in a blurred reflection. He knew that they were blue and they had been that way his whole life. It was just another indication that as a pup he had never grown up. But then saying that he could remember his mother having matching eyes as well while his father and littermate Xionah had a golden brown.

Estella's cover up had been good, while it did not stop Weldering from initially thinking about eyes it moved the topic onto something else swiftly. Yet as he listened to her explanation as to why she left her previous pack Weldering frowned lightly. "I find it hard to picture you like that." He murred softly, in his head the annoying young girl leaping into every ray of limelight was what he could visualise Junai as. If Estella had been like that then becoming a lone wolf had completely revered her. "Of course, I'd love to." He replied as he agreed to check out the woods with her, who knows maybe he'd find some more caves or something else random like he did with Junai. That would be great if he could discover something else he could turn into another landmark to help him navigate these new lands. Slowly he pulled himself up onto all fours, briefly flexing the tips of his mitts before taking up a position to the side of Estella waiting until she was ready.

Estella felt silly for telling the male that he had pretty eyes and she could feel that she had made him nervous. She didn't mean it in a flirting way, but it was hard for Estella not to flirt with any male. It came naturally to her and she couldn't help it if it came across that way. She looked down at her paws, still embarrassed for the comment she had made. It could of ruined a chance to make a new friend because he could be thinking that she wanted to be more. But Estella could just let it go, as though it had never happened. Maybe that would helps parch things up. Maybe they could start on a new slate?

She was happy to hear him say that he couldn't imagine her like a spoiled brat.<b style="color:#996666">Thank you. It made her feel as though she had grown, but she was a brat and she couldn't forgive herself for the selfish things that she had said before she left her home. If only she were able to say something to her parents before she left. If only she had let her family knew that she was leaving. Then maybe they would of followed. Seeing that they didn't even bother to look for her made Estella feel like they could care less if she ever were to return or died. She knew better then to think like that, but she just couldn't help herself from feeling that way. It was something that had been bothering her for a good while now and she just felt like she was such a pain in the butt for her family. Maybe if she hadn't been a brat... Then she wouldn't of been in the Relic and so far she was liking it there. She honestly didn't want to go back home back to being told what to do every moment of the day. Back to living a lie and trying to keep things to herself. She didn't want to live that way again. She liked the way it was in the Relic and not only that, but everything was just much more beautiful then what it was back home.

Smiling when the male agreed for a stroll with her she wagged her tail and got up. Maybe this was their new slate and she could work on getting things straight with them. It wasn't as though his friendship was such a big deal for her as she didn't even know the male, but she wanted to make friends and to know more wolves in the Relic, <b style="color:#996666">Let's start heading this way. She started heading east towards the mountain of dire. She hadn't visited the mountain just yet, but she wanted to keep exploring the woods.

Weldering Darksidy
Weldering would say that he was the flirty type, yet truthfully he was far to shy to actually say anything. If he ever did like someone of the opposite sex then it usually involved thinking about them and glaring uncontrollably which by now he was already staring at Estella far too much for his own liking. He did not want to make her feel as though something was wrong. Casually flicking his fluffy and well groomed tail to and fro he nodded in agreement with er and begun to set off eastward off the beaten track and into the woods. Slowly they were now padding away from the familiar sight of the creek and into unknown territory.

Yet this did not concern Weldering, he was still quite excited that he had an exploring buddy that was more engaging and pleasant then Junai. "So... do you plan on staying in these lands?" He asked while hoping to himself that his question was not too forward. "I think I will be." He added, at first he was not sure but now that he had cleared up a few tensions between himself and the leader of the resident pack Swift River he was more content with sticking around. Though speaking of meeting other wolves and the nearby pack he turned his muzzle to one side and instead of gawking at her again he thought of another question to ask. He always found himself acting unusual awkward around the ladies and it was no wonder that he was slowing his pace and beginning to lag behind. "I'm sorry Estella. I think I'll catch up with you later. It was nice meeting you." He muttered, kneading his forepaws again awkwardly before slipping off into the forest.
