Sloane Thorben
Sloane relaxed at the polite greeting and manners displayed by Anglo. Although his stance remained high and still utterly protective, he smoothed his hackles. As the russet fur lay flat once more a sharp nip at his shoulder brought all of his attention back to Narime'. He noted the slightly put out look on her face and briefly wondered what had annoyed his silver angel. Then heat burned his face as he realized that he'd gone all he-man on her before even saying hello. He dipped his large head in apology and licked her cheek with a soft whine for her ears only, he whispered, "My love." in a husky voice, asking for her forgiveness. He welcomed her pushiness as she moved closer into him almost roughly as she spoke of Anglo's appearance on their borders.

He had apparently been too far away on his patrol to hear the call. This was an excellent example of why they needed more members. They were simply stretched too thin, especially with Narime' in her delicate condition. Her stomach gave her fits and her softly rounded belly kept her from the hunt for larger prey. That left he, Kieth and Simaea to do the majority of the hunting which he knew must irk his lovely huntress, but there was no getting around it. Perhaps Anglo could aid in that area as well. With so few of them, they all needed to be jacks of all trades. Hunting, guarding and caring for the expectant mother of their next generation.

Anglo actually reminded him of Guiness in form. A bit shorter than himself, but quite muscular... a powerhouse to be sure! He appeared hale and hearty for a loner coming out of winter, which spoke of his ability to take care of himself. The excitement that Narime' spoke of was evident. Anglo was ready for a home and happy to have been accepted by Narime', but he waited patiently for Sloane's judgement. This spoke highly of the wolf's integrity. While the huge leader couldn't see himself ever turning away a wolf that Narime' had given her blessing, for she was a smart and intuitive fae, the fact that Anglo wanted the approval of both of the leaders meant a lot to Sloane. His father would have wholeheartedly approved of this man and so did Sloane. He would prove himself in action, soon enough.

As he'd been evaluating the newcomer, Kieth had arrived and greeted him as well, presenting a fresh kill for the alpha's approval. He gave Kieth a smile of greeting and thanks, then turned back towards Anglo golden amber eyes lit with approval. "Welcome to Whisper Caverns, Anglo." he greeted him formally, immensely glad to add another to their ranks.

He noticed with Kieth's arrival, more so his catch, Narime' went from looking on the edge of green to ravenous. Her beautiful lavender tinted eyes seemed to linger on the hare longingly. He smiled and said to Kieth, "It seems that your timing could not have been more perfect Kieth. Our queen is hungry!" With that he gently nudged Narime' towards the rabbit. He knew her and she wouldn't just take the rabbit. But it was her right as alpha to eat first and her right as an expectant mother to eat now! With her stomach on the war path, she needed to eat whenever she could, new member or no.

Kieth Tatum

When the darker male introduced himself as Anglo, Kieth smiled. A good wolf was always shown in others when they gave their name before speaking about anything else. He dipped his grey and brown head, not as a sign of submission, but as an equal. He was showing his respect for the other male.

The dark grey males' eyes shifted to Narimé. He saw that she was staring at the hare, with saliva starting to drip from her jaws. He knew that she was hungry, and as queen of the Whisper Caverns pack, and expecting pups that she could whenever she wanted. Just a moments later, he heard Sloane voice his own thoughts and nudge Narimé closer to the hare. He knew that the silver fae was hungry, and that she wanted the hare he had caught.

Without a second thought, Kieth pushed the hare closer to Narimé with his muzzle and stepped back a few paces, a sign of respect for his queen. He gazed at her with his pale grey eyes, before opening his jaws to speak. "I caught this to feed my family, and I am now giving it to you, to show that I will provide for and feed my pack." With that he lowered his head slightly, and averted his gaze from Narimé's face. He kept silent now, with his head slightly lowered as he waited for his queen to speak.

Narimé Lagina

Her annoyed expression left as soon as Sloane took note of her. His soft lick on her cheek a gentle reminder of the love he held for her. Nari nudged her nose under his chin and against his neck before parting from Sloane with a blush on her face. The scent of spring hare never left her nose. It plagued her until Sloane urged the gray woman forward to eat. Perhaps eating something will settle my stomach while I rest? She gazed over to Kieth who also nudged the hare to her and stepped back.

Her stomach drove Nari forward. She crouched down smiling gratefully to her pack mates and began wolfing down the small meal. All that was left was a few bones being cracked in her jaws and still the blue eyed wolf was hungry. Narimé just hoped that she wouldn't get nauseous while sleeping tonight. That alone had deprived her of good sleep. Nor did the she wolf know exactly why she was getting nauseous. If she recalled correctly Muerda from her old pack had never felt sick while carrying her second litter. Nari was sure she wasn't supposed to feel like that while she was pregnant. Just ravenous as the she wolf was now.

"Thank you Kieth. You've done well." She smiled praising the older wolf for his speed. Rabbits had always been a little bit harder for her to catch. Mid sized and smaller wolves could catch more than she could but Nari had managed as a youth. Now it would be left to her family around her to help catch the pesky critters.

Anglo Quinsarc
Anglo smiles to Sloane. "Thank you, Sloane. I greatly appreciate it." He had a pack! A new family. It felt surreal, but he knew it was actually happening. The dark coated man keeps his tail low and wagging as his attention is brought to the queen of the pack. She stands, her eyes locked onto the hare that his {now} packmate had brought along. He watches as the mottled man steps back from his catch, and Narimé comes forward. There would have to be a lot of successful hunts to keep her satiated.

He throws his head over his right shoulder, peering at the lands behind him. This is what he was leaving behind. He was in a new family now, and he would have to prove himself each and every day. His life belonged within this territory now. Anglo brings his head forward again, and allows a soft grin to fall upon his muzzle. Though these wolves were foreign to him, he was already getting a good feeling about this.

He may seem like a brute on the outside, but Anglo is much like a pup on the inside. He immediately thinks of when the pups will be around... what excitement that will be! He hadn't been around young wolves much, so this would be new to him. It was obvious that this pack had just begun, and Anglo was confident he would stay with them to stay strong.

Sloane Thorben
(Unless anyone wants to make another post, I think that we can fade this to black. Up to you! )

Sloane felt good about this entire encounter. Anglo was polite, yet seemed confident as well and the huge leader was sure that he would be a wonderful addition to the pack. The first since their founding. This thought brought a certain sense of satisfaction to the new leader. Narime' had met and approved him and he had backed up her choice. Kieth even seemed happy to have a new member, but that was part of being a growing pack. There would be more mouths to feed, but also more fangs and claws to provide the food and protect each other.

As Narime finished her impromptu meal he looked from her to Kieth and Anglo. Narime' and their newest member had traversed a section of the borders, but he thought that the tour could continue in the morning. For now it was time to show him the den. Their large cavern that Narime' had discovered. That was a mishap that had turned into a blessing. The cave and it's connecting tunnels would provide shelter and plenty of space as they grew. There would even be a room for Simaea to put her healing herbs and plants as she gathered and learned. He hoped that it would do for their newest member. So far the four of them shared the main cavern, but he assumed that Narime' would soon choose a birthing den that was more private to bear and raise the pups until they were old enough to meet the rest of the world. For all he knew, she already had and he made a note to ask about it later.

"Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready to head back home. Shall we?" He sent a pointed look in Narime's direction, for she looked exhausted. He wondered if the rabbit had been enough for her as ravenous as she had seemed moments ago. Perhaps he would find something along the way for her, just in case. With that last thought, he nodded and turned in the direction of the caves and led his newly expanded family home.
