Silver
Noticing the smile on Spectre's face made her a little nervous. "Hmm. Fine i guess we can try. It wouldn't hurt.". She walked over to the left watching Spectre and the Elk very carefully. Timing is key. Silver wasn't to sure if they could do it. It was a Bull elk so it will have no problem fighting. Crouched down waiting. Time was dragging on so it made it feel like hours when it had only been minutes. Slowly her energy was coming back preparing for the elk to come her way. No way in hell they would get the beast though. Maybe Spectre was the crazy one? What if someone got hurt? Time will tell her the answers.

The elk's head was down for he must have found something he liked. Berries or leaves? Silver couldn't tell and it didn't really bother her. What did bother her was that Spectre might get hurt while scaring the elk. It might kick her or hit her with his antlers. Maybe this was a bad idea. "Are you sure about this?". Her heart was beating and mind flooded with the bad things that could happen. "Maybe we should just head back to the pack.". Silver's voice was shakey as the worlds slid out of her mouth. Tail laying against the ground as the fur on her stomach was brushing the ground. Her mind yelling at her Get a grip! It's not like she won't have to do something like this again. Why not take this chance? It might turn out to be fun.

The wolf moved when Silver did, her attention focusing on the elk. It was large, much larger than she had expected.. but why not? They never knew what they were capable of until they tried, right? She moved until she was sure to be out of the way of the elk and then rose from her crouched position in the tall grass, snarling and rumbling forth a loud growl. The beast rose its head and turned, as she expected it to, running away from the wolf, but towards Silver. Spectre followed it, flanking to its left side to try and keep it within the clearing they had found it in. If nothing else, she wondered if they could chase it until it tripped, maybe broke something. Though she doubted it. "Mind the head!"

The white female rushed forward, still keeping her teeth bared at the hulking behemoth in an attempt to convince it that no, it did not want to run away, but that it wanted to remain in the clearing where they could pick at it. Eventually, she knew it would wear itself out if they kept hounding it. But the question was, could they hound it and manage to keep from getting hurt? She was legitimately concerned about the antlers, and the hooves, but knew that if they stayed at the edges of the clearing, hugging the trees, only darting in for attacks, it would keep them mostly out of danger.

Noticing the Beast running towards her made her nervous. But she sprung up leading it into a bigger opening. Silver would need room to kill this elk. In fact she would call him Beast. Smiling she chased it and let down a hard bite on Beast's leg. Dragging her for a minute she finally let go. Beast was limping now and Silver felt good. Using any left over energy to chase him down. He was trying to lead her into a closing but she wouldn't let that happened. Curving around to his side she steered him back into the opening. Close enough to bite Beast she took the chance. Silver was fast as she sunk her teeth into the elk's side. Not knowing where Spectre was she finished him off. Beast fell down slamming into the ground. The fall wasn't enough to kill him put he couldn't get up. Silver took the pleasure of killing him. Clamping around his neck. The crack of his neck echoed out through the open area.

"Hey Spectre! We got him!". The excitement in her voice was unmistakable. It had been her first big kill. Silver let out a yip ouf joy. "Hurry come here!". Looking back and noticing Spectre was a good distance away. The eyes of the elk seemed to be staring at her. Lifeless and dull. Instead of thinking about her father she felt proud. Proud she had killed this beast. Holding her head up high she let a soft breeze flow through her fur. It felt good to be proud of something. Silver was wagging her tail now. Her mind filled with thoughts. but none of them seemed to be dark thoughts.

Spectre had kept pace with the elk as it ran in terror from the wolves. She had intended to keep the thing moving in a small, enclosed area to tire it out, but it appeared Silver had other plans. The darker wold had run after it, leading it on a merry chase and managing to not only sink her fangs into it, but take the fully grown bull elk to the ground by herself. Spectre stood in awe, staring at the wolf who was similar in size to her, but moved like lightning and with the strength of ten wolves. It was awe inspiring, and a little frightening. The white female trotted towards her new friend, smiling warmly at her as she stood over her kill. "Why not call the pack together? It is your kill.. You have the right to ring the dinner bell."

To tell the truth, her mouth was salivating, and her stomach rumbling even more in protest now that there was fresh meat standing right before her. The wolf moved, hopping over the Elks hind leg and nudging at the flank with a low growl. She was starving and parted her jaws, tearing into the flesh just in front of its hind leg, but behind the ribs. She didn't care for the fur or the fatty layer. Spectre was after the organs of the beast, and set about trying to tear a hole big enough that she could lock her jaws around the liver and drag it out.

Silver let out a howl loud enough for the pack to hear it. It wasn't a cry for help this time, it was a proud howl. She would make sure that if anyone came that wasn't from her pack she would get rid of them. "Don't you think we should wait for the pack before we eat?". A smile little smile came out along with a laugh. Silver knew Spectre was hungry but they should wait for the rest of the wolves. There was still higher ranks than the so they should wait for them. Her legs were sore so she took a break and sat down. Sitting down slowly turned into laying down. Pain was shooting through her legs. It took a lot of energy to chase down the elk. Silver wouldn't say she did it by her self. She had Spectre to help chase down the elk out of the area it was in. Maybe she could be a hunter. But for now she would stick her mind to Scouting.

The sun was out and it felt nice. Yawing she noticed that she might fall asleep now. "I think I am going to rest for a minute. Can you watch the area?". Silver had to trust Spectre to watch the area as she slowly slipped into a sleep. Her dream was full of images of more elk and the trip she would try to take tomorrow for Shade. She had to prove herself to be accepted in the pack. Everyone has to pull there weight. That is just what she will do to.

OOC: Letting the others have a chance now to post if htey so desire.

The words of the other had her chuckling before she managed to clamp her teeth on the liver and pull it a few feet from the carcass. Spectre lowered herself down and began quite happily gorging herself on the thing. "I do not mind waiting.. but I need a little snack to tide me over until the pack arrives." The white wolf smirked, pinning the elks liver between her paws and returning to fastening her jaws around it. She kept an ear out, however, for sounds of others approaching and had every intention of running a wolf not of their pack off. She was well aware that they had hunted outside pack lands, but was not sure how far away other packs were.

When Silver took her nap, Spectre lifted herself, and carried her liver with her to lay down next to the darker wolf. It was something she figured might make it easier to both protect and warn the other should someone happen upon them that was not supposed to be there. Spectre settled to eating her liver in peace, knowing full well that when the alphas arrived, they were going to be given the rights to the first meal. She was hungry NOW however, and just wanted something to tide her over. After all, she had gone without a meal for the better part of about three days. Ice blue eyes cast around the glen, watching for danger.

(This first paragraph is about Silver's dream)
Silvers once gentle dream turned into a crazy nightmare. Visions of a bear attacking her as she went over the mountain. Without being able to pull herself out of it she started to become scared. Knowing she was whimpering in her sleep she didn't think it was being heard to the awake wolf, Spectre. The nightmare now had started to calm down but not for long. Silver was running through the woods alone in a unknown area. Looking behind her. Nothing was there the first time she looked but the second time she looked there was a group of Lone Wolves chasing her. Running for her life she noticed that the wolves looked like her. Was this her past trying to sneak back up? She thought she had gotten ride of her dark memories. It couldn't be her mind telling her she was completely insane. Was it? Her nightmare slowly faded to blackness than the light of the sun.

(Now Silver has woken up)
Silver's eyes were filled with panic and fear. The only thing she could hear was her heart beating fast. Everything else was just back round noise. If Spectre had been talking she sure couldn't hear her. Was the dream going to come true? No, that's impossible unless Silver was seeing the future. Last time she checked she didn't have those magical powers. Maybe it was just from loosing all her energy. It had to be. Slowing her heart beat down so she could here what anyone was saying. eyes fluttering around to see who all was there. Looking like it was just her, the elk, and Spectre for right now.

Spectre waited for a time, allowing the wolves of the pack to answer the call should they have desired such. When none showed, the wraith got to her feet and settled in to chow down, deciding that the longer they waited, the more scavengers they were bound to bring to the kill. The wolf took her time with her meal, and then spent a few moments wresting a sizable haunch of meat from the beasts shoulder, spending a few more moments to comfortably affix it in her jaws. A glance towards Silver was followed by a silent nod in the direction of the pack lands. She would bring some of the meat back to the pack, but was done eating for now.

The female turned, trotting away, the chunk of food secured within her jaws. She knew there were puppies, but not whether they were weaned, or if they were still on a strict diet of milk. Without being able to be certain, she didn't want to bring small pieces of meat in multiple trips, and instead chose to carry one large chunk. The pack could squabble over it as they saw fit.. And those that lost could return to the scene of the kill for more.

Silver went in for the stomach. For some reason this had been her favorite part sense she was little. Maybe it had been all the blood that would run warm down her throat. After taking a few bites her muzzle was now dyed red. Her throat was warm with the blood. Looking around she noticed no one had shown up. Just Silver and Spectre, along with the dead elk she had named beast. Glancing at Spectre who seemed to be enjoying the meal. Silver watched as Spectre who nodded her head. Guessing that meant to haul as much meat to the pack when your done. Not being quiet done yet she took a bite from the hindquarters. It was incredible how fresh this meet was. Almost like it was handled with care and caution. Wagging her tail she was happy her and Spectre went after the elk. No one got hurt like Silver thought. This day had been going great.

Now with her head up Silver watched as Spectre walked away with a huge chunk of meat in her mouth. Had Spectre already been done eating? Silver wanted as much as she could get before scavengers got to it. Birds, coyotes and lone wolves would be all around her. It was way to close to the pack to risk it. Taking a leg in her mouth she tried to drag it as far away from the pack before something unwanted got to it. Silver couldn't be risking the pups and backs life for some hunk of meat. In this sunny spot she would bet this elk would be rotten in two or three days tops. Finally she had got it into a shaded area farther away from the pack. Dropping the leg she took a huge piece of meat from around the ribs. Holding it in her mouth like it was a prize she started to run to catch up to Spectre. Who had been long gone. Might already be at the pack. Silver ran through the wooded area taking in the area trying to remember this area for another hunting session.

She was now at pack borders taking a step in she walked on over and set the piece of meat in their little food pile. Feeling as proud as ever. Now it was time to try and go find Shade. She had a mission to do.
