Lachesis "XIX" Stark
Pleased that the coffee-coloured Alpha agreed to his suggestion, the healer kept his gaze glued to Shade’s frail body as he lowered himself to the ground. The youth was utterly terrified but he would not allow the Alpha and his mate to sense that. XIX was frightened for the future of Pitch Pine Trial – especially the future of Adsila and Karpos. Would they blame their uncle Lachesis for the death of their father just as he did? Holding back a whimper that threatened to spill off his tongue, the boy stepped away from the pair to give them some much deserved privacy.

He could not help but wonder if the leader he viewed as a father-figure had accepted his fate; did he regret chasing after the female who had stolen his heart prior to Spectre? What was it about his absent ex-mate that drove him to search for her, even after discovering a new love? Perplexed by Shade’s action he did not dare question his motives – it was none of his business. The yearling knew, though, that if Anastasia had disappeared he would have done whatever necessary to find her. But, from what he understood, his relationship with the blue-eyed dove was much different than the one the chocolate male had shared with his pup’s mother. Although it had never been discussed Nineteen just knew that his pale companion would never abandon him; their bond was rooted far too deep.

Lowering his hindquarters against the cold earth the boy glanced over his shoulder at the resting pair, his ears pinned forward to catch the faint sound of Shade’s breathing. Reassured, the youth returned his gaze forward, brows narrowed so deeply he thought they were going to merge into one. He was restless – what if he fell asleep and one if a member of Elettra’s pack came back to finish off the muddy-eyed leader? Giving his head a quick shake, the healer sighed deeply; he would not sleep… he couldn’t. His stomach was constantly churning and a fierce headache had made itself home within his skull. He simply wanted to go home…
