Neha Vuesain

Neha Vuesain had been a very busy young lady lately. Ever since her mother had allowed her and her brothers to venture outside the den, she had seized every opportunity. Sure, at first this mysterious new world filled with alien sights and sounds was a little intimidating at first, but she quickly got over her nervousness. Once that was behind her, the Princess eagerly dived head first into exploring every square inch of her home. At least, the small portion of which her loving mother had set as boundaries. Like a mischievous little devil,  the pale coated girl constantly tested those limits. Often she would sneak away to the farthest corners of the areas she was allowed to explore, sometimes staying out for hours on end. Or until her nerves lit up again and she wanted to return to the comfort of the den, and her parents. It had been by sheer luck that the now cramped birthing den had always been within an easy, traceable walk back from wherever it was Neha had snooped off to.

Today was no different, of course. Under the shadows cast by tightly spaced pine trees, soft needles littering the floor, the heiress was enjoying her latest discovery. Cernan and Aleister were elsewhere, not pouncing all over her or tagging along like they often did. In her mind, this was a good thing. It allowed her to focus on what had so fiercely captured her attention. Ants. Dozens and dozens of them, crawling along the ground in a long, orderly little line. They moved so perfectly, so steadily, even as some held between their miniature jaws pieces of leaves, twigs or food that appeared twice their size. She was baffled, tilting her head to one side, eyes wide. How did they do it? Mom would surely have an answer to that mystery for her. With a dainty paw raised mid air, she had been just about to place it down to block the path of the little soldiers, but not harm them, when the voice of Namid rang, clear as a bell in the air. Neha may have been a little rebel in the making, but she would always answer when her momma beckoned.

With an excited bounce in her step, she leapt up and trotted back towards the site of the den, where she knew Namid would be waiting. She did not yet have a precise mental map in her head yet, but various little landmarks such as a familiar tree or a rock, helped guide her, thus assuring the child that she was indeed, on the correct path. Just like usual, she was expecting to see only the silver form of her mother there...but this time it was different. Many more wolves had already gathered around her, more than Neha had ever seen in her short life. Momentarily, she hesitated, looking over their faces. Many of these wolves, she did not recognize at all. Were they friendly? But wait...her dad was there too, as well as her brothers. Even the ashen grey male who had visited once was present. So it had to be safe. Bouncing back quickly into her usual demeanor of boldness, the ivory girl pranced forward proudly, in what she thought to be a rather impressive display. She went straight to her mother, squeezing in between her front legs, tucked against her warm chest. Boldly, she gazed out to meet the eyes of the rest of the wolves, clearly lacking the caution and uncertainty her golden brother had. With her mother speaking, forming sentences that made no sense to her young mind, Neha had no idea what was going on, or what was about to happen. But clearly this meeting was centered around herself and her brothers, as she heard their names flow from her mothers lips. And then, when instructed by the gentle command to follow, Neha obeyed instantly. To her surprise, the other strange wolves were following too. Not that she had any complaints. Bouncing up and down on rapidly sprouting legs, she danced to and fro in front of her parents while walking, but never stepping ahead of them. Neha was an excitable ball of energy today, and she wanted to know what all this fuss was about.
Neha can often be found close to Aleister's side and therefore may appear in any of his threads.

Kajika Tallis

Kajika waited patiently as the rest of the pack arrived for the meeting.  When it seemed they were all there and Namid explained why she had called them to the meeting he hadn’t realized that there were so many in the pack.  Most interesting to him was the white female with the missing eye.  He hadn’t ever seen an injury like that before and to be honest it was a little unsettling.  His attention though returned to the fact that he was going to see the puppies for the first time.  He’d known they were here but to finally see them he wasn’t really sure how he felt.  He knew that if he had to he would defend them because they were the future of the pack that he had made the choice to devote himself to but he didn’t know the first thing about puppies.

When Des declared that she loved puppies he touched his muzzle to her cheek to let her know that he had heard her though he wasn’t really sure what to say.  In that moment he felt bad for her because knowing that she loved them but the position she held not allowing her that gift, it was a sad thing to him.  Soon enough though the mood seemed to shift as Des rose from his side to join Anthem.  It piqued his interest but since he wasn’t sure what it was about he stayed where he was.

At least until Namid had started moving toward the communal den where the puppies would now be residing with the rest of the pack.  He rose to his feet and followed in the direction that his alpha had gone in.  Again his confusion of feeling about the puppies and how to be around them rose up and he hoped that in time he would soon be able to settle them.

Anthem ColdHeart
@Hexamora

When he had made his way over to Primrose it seemed he wasn't able to leave and return to his siblings right away as he had wanted. Des had appeared near his side and the white woman was quick to speak. His felt the muscles in his face twitch with the urge to bare his fangs as she suggested that he had feelings for her. He had his heart broken more than once and he wasn't stupid enough to give it to the woman before him. She would likely tear it out and chew it to pieces. No, he had no intention of being close to this woman ever. Intended or not Primrose had hit a sore spot with the large male and he was trying hard to not turn this occasion into something less cheerful.

Of course not. He snapped  his displeasure evident. I want to know how you gained those scars. So that if the one who gave them to you comes after you or the pups I know who I am fighting and why. But we'll talk after the pups get to main den and this meeting is done. He ground out between clenched teeth. The pups came first but Primrose was part of the pack and if someone came for her he was going to protect her, even if he didn't want to. All he wanted to know were the danger was going to come from if it ever came. Or rather he might even head out to see if there was any activity near the spot that the incident had happened. That is if the white woman even told him what happened and to be honest he wasn't sure if she would tell him. But he needed to try and if not well then he was going to have to make sure that there wasn't anyone hanging around the borders. With his head high he glared at Primrose waiting for the remark that was sure to come...Maybe he should have waited until after this meeting was done to approach her. Too late now.

Nathaniel ColdHeart
His sister was still uneasy around him, that was clear enough for him to tell. Unable to have found an appropriate moment thus far to address it, Nathaniel was still quite a bit clueless as to way this was. However, he did not let it affect his actions toward her, and so he responded to her slanted teasing with a quick, wry smile.

"Not you," he told her in a hushed voice, so that the others clustered so closely around them wouldn't overhear him. "Just everyone else."

He gave her a wink then, before Namid's mellifluous voice sifting into his ears whisked away his attention completely. It wasn't exactly fascinating information, but it was easy listening all the same as the man was, admittedly, quite taken with the beauty of his new queen. Not an entirely unusual reaction of his in the face of such beauty, it must be said, yet now that he was to be grounded for what was supposed to be the rest of his life in this one place, he certainly hand to mind himself.

The moment her small string of announcement was ended, the pack began to move as one with the monarchs and their children leading the way. Nathaniel followed suit, just another head amongst the crowds, but not long into their trek his lackadaisical attention was dragged toward a focal point. Their brother left them, maneuvering with purpose through the others to sidle up next to the one eyed woman Nathaniel had undergone the pleasure of meeting just a few days prior.

As he attempted to listen to what was being said between the two, the conversation immediately took an ugly turn once the scarred woman opened her mouth and Nathaniel swiftly lost interest, returning instead to his mindless tromping.

Namid Vuesain
I HAVE LOVED THE STARS TOO FONDLY
TO BE FEARFUL OF THE NIGHT

Cernan stuck close to her side as she thought he might, the most bashful of her little trio. She smiled softly and moved her head to place a kiss on top of his cranium. “It is alright, dear. Nothing to be afraid about, you will be excited when you see where we are going. Promise,” she said. Her mismatched gaze traveled back to see her little princess, being the princess she was. She was soaking up the excitement and energy like a sponge, darting between their legs thought stayed by them like she should. Namid chuckled at her daughter, though her gaze trailed back to what was in front of them.

She knew the trail well, even then, and she was sure she could do it with her eyes closed. They were nearly there, so close to the children’s new home and close to making the pack whole. Then, there they were. A clearing appeared, centered to a large cave that was partially concealed by shrubbery and a large fallen tree. She was sure that was likely to excite the children the most, the prospect of climbing such a massive thing. This also worried her a bit, but she tried not to fret too much. Moving further in, she paused and turned to the children. “Go over by Uncle Anthem, okay? Momma and Poppa will be right up there, she said, giving them both a reassuring smile and a nod. Turning, she made her way over to the large tree and with a swift leap was atop it. It seemed the queen still had her grace. She moved up the fallen tree, surefooted as ever until she reached the top where it met the top of the den. There, she moved to the front until she could clearly see all the wolves beneath her in her ‘throne’ of sorts. Waiting a moment for Vespertio to join her, she cleared her throat to stall the welcomed chatter momentarily. ”Thank you all for making that important journey with us. With this step, we are all finally united as one. With these three lives we have become stronger, and I intend to take that strength even further. It seems to be short notice, but I will be make a journey down the mountain to visit a pack to the southwest of here to request an alliance. Should I return victorious in my efforts, we will be even surer in our footing here at the lake. Of course, I cannot make this journey alone. Therefore, I will be taking Desideria with me. We will be leaving in a week or so time,” she said, surveying their reactions. She left out her personal interest behind the journey, as no one truly needed to know that. Her duty, of course, would go first but that didn’t mean she couldn’t ask a few questions while she was there.

Desideria Barreda
Desideria allowed herself a small sigh of relief, shoulders sagging slightly when violence refused to erupt between @Anthem and Primrose.  While she doubted the alphas would have tolerated such an event during such an important moment for their family, the scout in training was not convinced the white wraith wouldn't try it anyways.  She clearly had little respect for authority.  Fortunately, both wolves seemed to agree to attend to their business, whatever it was, afterwards.  With a small nod of respect, the tawny wolf turned away from the male beta, seeking out her friend once more.

As much as she detested the idea of having to fight, siding with Anthem was the right thing to do.  Of that, she was sure.

Festinating along to catch up with the pack, she broke her gait to settle alongside @Kajika again, content to chatter aimlessly until Namid took her place once more and cleared her throat.  Lifting her ears, the female settled into silence, head titled as she waited for the Queen to speak.  The puppies were now part of the extended family of the pack, and she could only hope this meant she would get a chance to interact with them a bit more frequently.  Des was not left to wonder after the children for long, however, as the alpha had other news.  The woman had barely digested the notion of an alliance when her name was mentioned.  The shock could have barreled the tawny female right over – she simply stood in shock, staring at Namid in awe.

She was going to be given a chance!

Vespertio Vuesain

It was an easy lope for the tawny man as the pack made their way towards the naturally hidden communal den within the large clearing, golden optics spotting the entrance that lay nestled behind a curtain of leaves due to a fallen tree that leaned against the cave's side like an appendage. The very and only fallen tree within his territory that had come to give the lake dwelling pack their title.

Shortly after reaching the new rendezvous point the silvered matriarch swiftly dismissed their brood to join their storm pelted uncle and pack second. With a quick and graceful bound the woman that had captured his heart was nearing the flattened ceiling of the collapsed pile of boulders to a place he liked to refer to as his personal throne. The location allowed the occupant a gracious view of the territory through the dense collection of mountain pine trees and a beautiful view of the sparkling lake that lay straight ahead.

After insuring the pups were safely at Anthem's side and the pack had come to settle, his creamy limbs bounded shortly after Namid's to scale the roughened bark of the log to join her atop the den. Lowering his haunches to seat himself at her side, the matriarch was quick to silence the low buzz of idle chatter before speaking upon the pup's journey and news she had to announce. Something that would make his audits twitch toward her in curiosity.

It was made apparent that the trio of children were now one of them, living symbols of the Cove's enduring strength. This nothing new to the first time father, but the next string of words that fell from her lips were not something he was made aware of. Apparently there was plans for the queen of the lake to depart with subordinate Desideria to the southwest in hopes of securing an alliance with a pack that dwelled on the other side of their terrain. 'I don't remember being told of such.' He thought to himself as the liquid gold of his optics surveyed the gathered wolves and their reactions before turning onto his wife, quietly waiting to see what else she may have to speak upon.

There was a weeks time before the duo would embark in their mission, leaving the patriarch enough time to question her before she left. Glad for the lack of needing to festinate unlike the time he had abruptly dropped a similar bomb upon his mate. Vespertio knew not exactly how far this pack she mentioned was, nor what made her wish to seek an alliance with those who were but strangers to the agouti man.

Hexamora Beauvau

Hexamora could feel the skin beneath her fur begin to prickle uneasily, feeling the various sets of eyes falling upon her minor discussion with the male second and tag-along subordinate Desideria who felt the need to eavesdrop at Anthem's side. A man who's lips begged to be lifted and expose his teeth at her for the comments she had made seconds prior. The subtle lip twitch had gone unnoticed due to his presence being on her blinded side, but there wasn't a possible way for her to overlook the swift change in his aura or the displeasure that cloaked his words as he snapped back while they followed in toe behind the train of wolves ahead of them.

A heavy sigh escaped her partially parted lips in response to his reasoning for wanting to talk. Her pretty new scars. Keeping her head even with his she swung it to allow her functioning optic the chance to obtain a new bit of scenery, focusing on his gray tinged fur and piercing blue eyes. A flickering flame behind the green iris. "Why would I believe that you would waste your precious time protecting someone like me? Pack mate or not, I know how you all feel towards me. You'd all rather see me dead." Her words fell from her lips in a harshly bitter tone, some raw emotions uncharacteristically breaking the surface into how the woman felt. Something she would never openly admit to anyone.

As bitter and harsh as her words had sounded, they couldn't be far from the mark. Upon receiving the scars not a single one of them had come to her aid even when the scent of fresh blood was thick on the air when she dragged her battered and bruised body back over the borders into her den. At first her heartless nature wouldn't allow such emotions to come to existence, but even someone such as she deserved to be cared for in a time of need. Right?

Deciding the conversation was over, the ivory woman made a festinate departure for the very rear of the train where hopefully nobody else could come to disturb her. Having made such an emotional outburst that caught herself off guard, she wanted the ability to reign them back in. Lock them away from the light of day where they belonged. Emotions made one weak, vulnerable. Never again would she fall victim to their powers.

Shortly after the pack had made it to the communal den that consisted of fallen boulders arranged in a manor that made a natural cave like area dusted in wind ripped debris and a single fallen tree who's branches sheathed the opening like a curtain. A clever place to make a den, Hexamora admitted mentally. Slowly loping into her preferred shadows, her ivory haunches lowered to the ground, small arctic audits listening disinterestedly to what Namid had to say next as both she and Vespertio bounded atop the cave.

Cernan Vuesain

Whatever was happening behind him was of little concern. He was too busy feeling the eyes on his back; whether he really was being stared at or not. All the strangers were behind them, and there was something unsettling about having them where he couldn't see. His Mama seemed not to care, but the pudgy little boy stole backward glances every now and again just to make sure nobody was gonna jump on him... or something. Surely strange wolves posed some sort of threat, right? He didn't know them, he didn't have any information to go on about them, and that was scary in and of itself.

His darling mother was quick to try and reassure the boy, and it was no wonder. He stuck close enough to the queen's legs to have a chance of accidentally tripping her. He looked up suddenly following her kiss; watching with wide eyes as her comforting voice filled the air. The tawny pup wasn't so sure it was alright, but at least hearing that his mother thought so was some relief. She looked away, and he resumed his hurried padding; refusing to get even a few inches too far. He would go along with this, but he didn't have to be happy about it. Why was Neha so darn pleased? His eyes trailed her grumpily.

They padded on, finding nothing interesting of note until they came to the clearing. He sensed his mother's slowed pace, and directed his own eyes to where she was staring. His mouth fell slightly agape at seeing the giant tree and the cave before him. It was so big! He was still staring at it when the queen's voice gobbled up his focus. Anthem? The grey one that had visited them as babies. She wanted him to go over there? But where was she going? His eyes grew soft and he could have whined as she and Dad started making her way to the tree. Suddenly aware that he was going to be left standing alone in front of everyone, the boy made the snap decision to find his uncle. At least he wasn't so bad, not like the others he had no idea about.

Still, it was scary going up to him. Cernan scurried forward at first, slowing his pace as his nervous eyes locked upward onto the male. There was an awkward moment of silence before the chubby boy darted to his side to escape the stare. He didn't like this. Mommy had better come down soon. The younger prince turned his attention upwards, watching in awe as the adults ascended to their throne with grace. It was pretty high... he bet his sister was already thinking of ways to get up there too. Eventually she started speaking, but most of it was lost on him; probably intended for the grown-ups. Still, the boy kept his eyes on them. He kinda wanted to see what it was like in the cave, as long as someone came in with him, anyway.

Anthem ColdHeart

This was going poorly. Anthem decided as he watched Primrose carefully. The retort he expected came and he blinked in surprise. So she knew that she wasn't wanted? Then why stay? Unless she just wanted the protection and safe zone it gave her to be acustomed to her new wounds. He wouldn't doubt it in the least if that was the case. They were drawing attention though and he felt that he had to say something. The pack is everything to me and no matter how much I dislike you. He spoke his words with a bluntly and with a serious tone. You are still part of it and that means my protection is yours as long as you are here. Anthem didn't know if his words reached her as she had already tried to make her escape from him. He let out an annoyed sigh. He didn't have the power to make her leave the pack but his words would remain true. As long as she was withing the pack he would try and protect her, but he doubted that she would like having him around for that protection.

He followed with the others and watched and listened to Namid as she spoke when they had finally reached their destination. He wasn't all that happy anymore or really paying that much attention to what she said. He was too lost in his thoughts but then she specifically mentioned him he glanced up and then down to look at Cernan in surprise. Quickly the boy was at his side and Anthem just looked at him for a moment before he dropped his head to give him a comforting nudge to the shoulder. It would be alright soon he would back at Namid and Vespertio's side. This wouldn't take that long. He gave the other pups a light nudge as well in greeting as they came over to him. Then his attention went back to their Queen as she spoke. His brows furrowed with displeasure that she would be heading out and with Des to meet another pack. He let go of his sudden desire to say that he would go instead. He let out huff in minor annoyance. Hadn't Vespertio and himself done exactly the same thing to their neighbors to the east of them? The only thing different was that Namid had chosen someone to go while Vespertio hadn't. Anthem had made that decision for him. Glancing around he found Des to see what she thought of it and chuckled at her expression turning his gaze back to their leaders to see if they had anything more to add.
