The Magpies could still be heard loudly from not far away which only reminded the gray boy that they needed a lesson. With Hawthorne better they could get to that but they need to know what his father thought since it had been his idea. A smile appeared on the boys face when he heard the thump of Hawthorne's tail on the ground when he nudged her cheek which he took to mean she liked it. With the question of what they should do next he waited to see what his friend would say because she wasn't on who had been hurt, it should be her decision what they did. Keeping his eyes on her he didn't miss her yawn which made him yawn too and suddenly he realized he was getting tired from all the jumping and running and worrying about her and if she would be okay.
He was surprised when she rolled on to her back right there and then declared that she wanted a nap. “Nap good,” he agreed with her as he curled up against her resting his head on her back. He glanced up at his father to see what he would do. “Burdses lesson later,” he spoke sleepily. They would teach those Burdses the lesson they deserved for hurting his friend later and since the would have had a nap it would be a much better lesson. Elyan was sure of that and he was sure his father felt the same because his dad always liked helping.
Besides now that he was laying beside Hawthorne he was even more ready for a nap. He was sure the Burdses would be there later, they had been there all day already.
