For good measure, he craned his head to peer over one dark shoulder. Narrowed acidic eyes watched the remaining coyotes slip away, while the wolves stood triumphant, and with a brutally slain victim, no less. While he had turned a new leaf in the coming months, Blitz would always have that rugged, gruff edge to his personality. And, when his temper was triggered (especially when females were involved) he was barbarous. That was just who he was and could care less of what others may think. It just so happened that on many levels, his and Ravenna's personalities meshed well together.
Turning his attention back to the group his face crinkled with concern as the dark male spoke, detailing how once before, he and another wolf had been attacked by coyotes. Brows pinched, he gazed earthwards contemplatively. "Hrmm..." Came the deep rumble in his throat as he digested this disturbing information. Ravenna was right about reporting these details to Sven and the rest of their pack. Safety in numbers, ideally inside the Ridge territory would be priority. But they couldn't completely restrict themselves to the security of home. That would be giving the coyotes a sense of control...power, further emboldening them. "I wonder what's making them act this way..." The undertone in his voice hinted at what he was thinking. That this aggressive behavior by the coyotes might not solely be behavioral. That a more viral nature should not be ruled out. But Blitz was no medic and he would not waste his time pondering over mysteries which he could not answer. It was a spur of the moment thought and no more. He began to trail after Ravenna back into the depths of their territory, listening in silence as as suggested that Blackmoore stay with them. He said nothing, had no objection. The man had after all, helped protect her and Leotie. That was good enough reason for him to see the stranger admitted to their ranks.
