Odysseia Immorta
Odysseia Immorta
Get out your guns, battle's begun.
Are you a saint or a sinner?

Also open to @Lorcan and @Cyril, takes place an hour or two after this thread

Once she arrived, after following, Cheedo's scent to the place she had to stop in pure amazement. The water was broken up by ice disk leaving the water uneath somewhat seeable and in between the ice there was the sky. She nearly even dropped her rabbit on her own front paws had she not managed to pull her head together and get a better grip of the dead animal. But this was truly amazing, to see the sky in the lake. And the pull on her to swim in the water to be part of the sky. How she wondered what it looked like at night, with the starts in the water and the moon's pale face.

But the wive wasn't why she was here, even though it likely could have been had she not meet Cheedo a few days ago. As a traveler she allowed her paws to choose the way, she allowed pretty sights to pull her in and strang sounds to guide her. But the sun was setting and the last hour of daylight was upon her, and she did not wanna pull them from their sleep.

The spider would make her way to the bank and look out over the lake dropping the rabbit on the ground wondering where @Piety and @Cheedo were actually at. Her burning eyes would seek the shoreline for any possible den sites, or wolves out and about. But a soft sigh and a slight nerves smile soon took to her lips. A deep breath and another look around to calm herself before she tilted back her head slightly. A soft-toned howl left her lips as she called for the two women, she wished no harm only to be with her family.

Cheedo

It was starting to feel like the past was coming back to the tawny woman. Instead of looking toward the future she had been revisiting what had happened in Ritter and her first few months that she'd been in the lore. She couldn't say she was upset about this. It only served to remind her what she'd left behind and what she had now. It only made her more certain that she had made the right decision when she had chosen not to follow her former husband. Her life had improved more than she had ever imagined it could.

There however was one part of the past that she didn't want to leave behind and move on from. Ody was like a daughter to her and there was nothing more that she wanted than to have the gray girl back on her life. She had spoken with Piety to let her know what had occurred and now she'd been waiting for the call to come. When it finally did Cheedo had been doing under a tree but jumped up sprinted on the direction of the lake.

When she saw the girl she slowed her approach and a greeting of a lick to the cheek was given. “You finally made it I'm so glad. We shall wait for Piety to arrive but I have spoken with her to let her know you were coming.”

Piety Santoro
Piety had heard plenty. Cheedo had informed her first of Odysseia's arrival and then Lorcan had quickly told her of his defensive feelings and warning. The Santoro wasn't very pleased with the words that came from either. She held nothing but distaste for those who had come from the north only to leave once Craw was gone. Cheedo had proven her worth but Odysseia? Piety thought she might have well had been Craw.

The call was only the final nail in the coffin. Her tail and head lifted into a dominant position. These weren't her lands per say but her family rested here and she'd be damned if anything happened to them. She moved with a dignified grace through even the thickest parts of the glen. Her features hard and stern. At that moment, any warmth that Piety usually held had been replaced with hard stone.

She halted a few feet away noticing the closeness of the two former Craw wolves. "What do you want?" Her voice was sharp and to the point, only an introduction to what might come next.

Lorcán Artemieva
The howl rang out barely hours after he had returned to Piety's side with news of his most recent encounter. Immediately his hackles raised and the bridge of his muzzle wrinkled into a scowl as he turned to face the direction of the call. He had warned @Piety that @Odysseia might be back but he had not expected the girl to have as much guts as to howl for them. Had Lorcan not been clear enough?

Without a moment's more hesitation, the agouti male loped his way through the trees towards the large lake where the howl echoed out from. As his lean figure broke out from the shadow of the trees, his golden eyes swiftly darted between all those present. He too noticed the close proximity between @Cheedo and Craw's daughter, which caused his charcoal lips to pull back into a snarl. Raising his tail high, Lorcan moved to stand beside Piety, his head held a fraction lower than hers. Ears pushed back, he focused on the silver female. "I thought I told you to stay away." He growled quietly in warning.

@Lorcan

@Cheedo arrived first and Ody greeted her with a happy bark and wide smile. It was good to see her, though she wondered if she knew anything about her and Lorcan's little encounter. "it to took me a while to find a gift and I got a bit distracted chatting with a Lorcan on the way here. I think you know him?" her words were at its usual kind and neutral tones even when talking about Jerkface. She moved to nuzzle Cheedo as the other greeted her with licks to her cheek. "Sorry it took me so long" she mumbled quietly.

The the white woman arrived and she did not look to happy, so Jerkface had talked to her, just great. The Spider would fold back her ears and lower her head tail dropping to hang down behind her but not curl under her. Knees bending just a bit to show submissiveness, she did not like having to bow but it apperedit was her best option. Piety's wrods were sharp and cold, and to the point. "I wanna be with the only family I have left" she stated eyes seeking the white womans, for a moment befor retunign to the rabbit. "I bring this as a gift" she pick it up and move it forth towards @Piety befor retuning back to were she orignaly stood.

Eyes would dart from white to tawny as Jerkface arrived, snarling and banner over his back. She did not redraw at his aproch and did bow depper into submmison. But she did not change ehr stance or curent posstion despite every fiber in her body telling to to rise and snarl back wth a banner of her own. But she wanted to join and she neede Piety's acceptance. Which she likly won't get by fighting her mebers. Instead her eyes would return to Piety awaiting her responce, not only because she need to hear it. But also becuse she doubted she could hold her tongue towards Jerkface, if she spoke to him.

March note! It should be noted that Ody's spring scent/heat scent is quite a bit weaker then that of the average female due to her weak fertility.

Lenae Selwyn

Lenae had been rather absent as of late. Hiding away in the den, sleeping mostly. Sometimes on her own, other times with Cyril or Piety. She was aware of the man who had joined their cause, but she didn't know him and that made her nervous. If Piety liked him then surely that meant he could be trusted, that he was one of the good guys, but Lenae couldn't help but worry. Rather than join in with the other's, tag along on their outings she stayed out of sight and hopefully out of mind.

She didn't want to be a burden, not to anyone but it was all she could do these days. Her fur was starting to grow back, good food in her belly certainly helped, but recovery was slow, like an agonising crawl. Why wasn't she better? Stronger, braver? Weakness, that was what his was. She practically radiated it, it had seeped into her bones and tissue, as though she was waterlogged, filled to burst.

When Lenae heard the call she wanted nothing more than to continue hiding away, to ignore it in the hopes someone else would answer. But that wasn't setting a good precedent, was it? At the very least she had to try, to put one paw before the other in an attempt to get better, to do more.

So that's what she did. With paws as heavy as led she trundled from the den and followed the call, pinpointing it's source till she arrived on the scene, late as usual.

And it seemed...the big dark lady wasn't a welcome guest. Not if the expressions of the man-Lorcan was his name?-and Piety said anything. Lenae glanced back and forward, trying to figure out just what was happening. The only person who seemed somewhat welcoming was Cheedo, but she had always been so lovely...

With her head ducked down and her tail curled between her legs she hung back, like Piety's tawny-shivery- shadow.

Cheedo

Cheedo's tail swayed happily behind her when she saw Of and hear her bark. She'd never been worried about how long she'd taken in calling. It was a surprise the announcement about Lorcan and having met him. He had been her worry the entire time, she wondered if he would prove her worries founded. “I do know him. He was t horrible to touch was he?” She asked as Ody nuzzled her.

They were soon joined by Piety, Cheedo dipped her head in greeting her tail continuing to sway until it didn't. The time that the pale woman had when addressing Ody was enough the tawny woman to know how this would turn out. She would be greatly surprised if Ody would be able to stay.

Her posture and hope fell even further as Lorcan came and declared that he had told Ody to stay away. She looked between the two that had joined them willing them to change their minds but she wasn't stupid, she knew that wouldn't work. A small whine escaped her as she looked to Ody. She was being so good keeping herself under control and offering the rabbit anyway despite the welcome she'd received.

Leane had arrived too which was just perfect so she could watch everything go badly. Cheedo realized she didn't like Lorcan as alpha, with his judgemental ways and they seem to rubbing off on Piety. She’d accepted Lorcan for Piety despite what he'd done to her and they couldn't even give Ody a chance when she hadn't done anything to them. It seemed they couldn't do the same for her. She hoped there would be a turn to this meeting but her hopes had fallen.

Lorcán Artemieva
Lorcan had arrived soon enough to hear the tail end of the conversation.

So, Odysseia had the audacity to ignore his mostly-polite warning to stay away from Cheedo and had proceeded to show up near their home literally hours later. It was clear that she held no respect for him, nor any real respect for her so called family. Had the young female not considered how her decision to go against him might impact on Cheedo? He and the small agouti wolf had only just worked things out and managed to reach some form of understanding. He could learn to trust Cheedo, but Odysseia was only proving herself to be trouble.

Golden eyes looked the silver wolf up and down suspiciously, his gaze briefly hovering on the same dead rabbit she had been carrying with her hours earlier. He noticed as Odysseia only briefly acknowledged him, before returning her attention to Piety. With a flicker of his top lip, Lorcan covered his set of pearly-white fangs and turned his gaze towards Cheedo to see what she would do. The pair of them were obviously close. He was curious to see if she had anything to say in the girl's defence. Her silence told him she did not.

Lorcan's head turned to glanced behind him and Piety to spot Lenae as she approached. A single flick of his ear and quick sway of his tail was all he did to acknowledge her during the tense situation before he turned back to focus on Craw's ex-wife and daughter. "A gift isn't going to change the fact that you have a problem with authority." He commented, eyeing the dead rabbit once more. She would make a poor subordinate, especially as she was so quick to act against his wishes.

Piety Santoro
I THOUGHT I SETTLED MY DEBTS THAT NIGHT ON THE RIDE HOME
BUT I HAVE STILL GOT HELL TO PAY

Piety was ready to give her part. It seemed everyone was here anyway and they would all heed her words if she truly was respected. But the sound of movement behind her halted her words.

Swiftly she turned her head to see who was there. Behind her was the small form of @Lenae playing the role of a shadow. The pale female gave a soft smile. She would have done more - perhaps placed comforting kisses on Lenae's crown or cooed warm words - if there wasn't more pressing matter to attend to.

It was the voice of @Lorcan that summoned Piety's attention to the scene again. He was becoming strong in his unofficial (hopefully official soon) role. She would have no other living male by her side through these times. Piety had seen how he had proved his loyalty to her time and time again no matter what happened between them. He always came home to her.

"Only family left?" She could have scoffed if she was so immature. Instead, she kept her posture tall and dominate while glaring at the silver woman. "And who here is your family? Craw is long gone and so is his flock. The man who led that flock to the south is dead. And Cheedo? Is she your family? Everyone from the north abandoned her while she stuck with the Monadnock." Perhaps she was speaking too much on anyone's behalf but Piety had been there between the rise and fall. Their numbers had swelled with the arrival of northerners before seeming to crash once the pressure was too much to bear.

She'd be damned if she let it happen all again.
