A few other wolves slipped in after her. All of whom she didn't recognize by sight nor name, save for Emrys and Lachesis, her leader. Absentmindedly, she noticed that a certain tawny wolf was nowhere to be found at the gathering, or anywhere else in the territory. It pricked at her curiosity enough to wonder what could have happened and where she had gone. With the meeting commencing, her golden eyes set attentively upon Lilya who began addressing the pack as a whole, getting straight down to business by stating that only she and Lachesis, as the lead pair, would breed this season. Jynx was experienced enough to know that such a subject would be central at this gathering. In her reign at White Fir Notch, she and her mate had enforced the very same rules. No longer leading a pack of their own, and already having brought children into the world, the russet womans desires were non-existent for another litter. She had to put the well being of her living children first and find them before she could ever begin to consider more. Even as a mated pair, the Surge leaders had nothing to worry about from her and Emrys.
Pack roles were next. While she was beginning to settle and take to the place, she had yet to fully decide if her stay here should be permanent. She wanted the freedom to search for her son and daughter, but also yearned for the loyalty and sense of unity that could only come with being apart of a pack. Before her days as a leader herself, there had been one role in particular she strove for, but never quite attained. Perhaps if she chose to stay, ranked as a subordinate, it would be possible now. What Lilya announced next came as a bit of a surprise, but a welcomed one in her opinion. Combat training, just in case an unwelcome guest had to be dealt with. Though...judging by the apprehensive look on Anastasia's face and Matheo's skepticism, the proposal may not sit so well with everyone in the pack. Lachesis eased the pressure some by stating it was optional, along with the risks it entailed. Clearing her throat softly for a brief moment of attention, she elaborated. "During our time in the Notch, Emrys and I have dealt with similar scenarios. If a predator or rival is allowed free range, it may ultimately take over the territory, putting us all at risk." She stated matter of factly, indirectly including the presence of upcoming pups in the spring. She spoke bluntly but politely, using her experience to lay out her opinion concerning the well being of this new pack.
